I would personally say that our identities came from our tribal roots, but there are obviously exceptions as some groups have had their understanding of who they are taken away or hidden from them. 15 minutes ago, RobSS said: Who is Britannia, for example? Why did early Brits identify with her? Depends who you ask. Some will say she is just symbolic of our link to the Occident, hence why she looks like Minerva or Athena, and others would say it's all sinister because it's not some Abrahamic desert religion. I don't even like thinking about Britannia to be honest. It just makes me sad and depressed. I look at old postcards about protecting our coasts, where she is often depicted, but now it's just open season on our beaches. The RNLI is basically a taxi service now, and they lost the support of many Brits when they started taking our money to pay for burkinis. 20 minutes ago, RobSS said: Regarding racial cohesion in London, I see far less racism in London now than when I grew up. A great deal less. I dunno, there are places in London that other white people I know won't even go to. Maybe there is less hatred towards minorities, but there is still hatred towards Brits. Also other cultures bringing their tribal beefs to streets we once lived in, which is why I say they can suffer from multiculturalism too. Hell, most of the violent crime is other groups attacking each other, and I don't want to see other groups harmed either.
