Greenpeace has criticized Moore, calling him "a paid spokesman for the nuclear industry, the logging industry, and genetic engineering industry" who "exploits long-gone ties with Greenpeace to sell himself as a speaker and pro-corporate spokesperson"

Moore describes himself as a founding member of Greenpeace, but the organization denies this claim.

Well, "they would say that" 😉

But this is what happens when someone breaks ranks and goes against the 'narrative'.

Greenpeace as an organisation probably started out with some very good intentions, but as with any 'charity', "money talks" and it just becomes a mouthpiece to whomever 'donates' the most money.

Greta Thunberg: Activist arrested at Hague climate protest

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-68749936

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has been arrested by Dutch police at a protest in The Hague.

The 21-year-old joined hundreds of protesters in a march against fossil fuel subsidies on Saturday.

The protest devolved into a standoff as dozens of police officers, some on horseback, attempted to stop protesters from blocking a main road.

Local police put Ms Thunberg on a bus full of demonstrators and she was driven away from the scene.

Greta celebrates 'human rights' ruling.

"European court rules human rights violated by climate inaction"

"A group of older Swiss women have won the first ever climate case victory in the European Court of Human Rights."

"The women, mostly in their 70s, said that their age and gender made them particularly vulnerable to the effects of heatwaves linked to climate change."

Pity the Dutch didn't leave her in the nick. She should get a job in a cold store for a while and then see how much she appreciates a warm day

Heineken cuts down apple trees for no reason.

"The apple trees at Penrhos Orchard were planted in 1997 and covered nearly 300 acres of land."

2023 Bill Gates purchased a 3.76% stake in the company and we know how much Bill Gates likes burning down farms and distribution centres and buying up farm land to stop farming on the land.

Bison will help solve climate change, apparently.

"Herd of 170 bison could help store CO2 equivalent of 43,000 cars, researchers say.

Free-roaming animals reintroduced in Romania’s Țarcu mountains are stimulating plant growth and securing carbon stored in the soil while grazing"

Bison help store carbon dioxide

So why are herds of bison different from herds of cows, assuning that both are free to roam the fields and hills? Don't bison fart?

How does the weather claim victims?

yes, people could die from a hurricane, avalanche etc, but that would be from

stupidity, lack of awareness or just plain wrong place wrong time.

I wouldn’t blame the weather for claiming me as a victim if I was unfortunate to be caught up in something.

Stupid emotive headlines.

From the Daily Fail

"The UK experienced its warmest May and spring on record, Met Office figures show.

The average temperature across March, April and May was a balmy 9.37°C – 0.15°C warmer than the previous record, set back in 2017."

Yet in 2020 and 21 I was tanning every day from end of March onwards. Especially when during lockdowns we had 100+ days in a row of 20c + from end of that March

Sky News have reported on this too.

https://news.sky.com/story/uk-had-its-warmest-may-and-spring-on-record-met-office-figures-show-13147066

What they've done is take the average of both the day and night temperatures which is misleading but supports the climate change narrative.

Because it has been so cloudy, this has kept overnight temperatures up so they have been above average. Rather than separate out day and night averages, they have been combined. But to the everyday person, it is the daytime temperatures we experience and which matter. You can't exactly get scorching temperatures at night!

And yes, I have been saying the same thing about 2020. It was gloriously warm all throughout that spring and a far cry from the unrelenting wind and rain we have had so far this year. I still avoid walking off the main track at my local woods as everywhere is so boggy although it seems to finally be drying out - I would rather not go the same way as the horse in The Neverending Story and end up sucked into swampy oblivion.

Makes sense the way you put it. Here in my part of Cornwall its been endlessly miserable. Until the end of last week the sky has been blanket white and constant rain.

"Greening the Hajj"

According to a BBC World Service documentary, Climate scientists warn that last year's 2 million pilgrims at the Hajj, in Mecca, produced in 5 days roughly the amount of greenhouse gases that New York City emits in 2 weeks. Virtual reality could be a solution, some suggest.

It is the overnight low temperatures that everyone overlooks. So far this June, most lows have been in the single digits, ie less than 10C. This is why many people who have room thermostats - like myself - are noticing that their central heating is still coming on in the mornings.

The media loves to focus everyone on the 'scorching' daytime temperatures, but summer nights in the last couple of years have been very cool in comparison.

forecasting 23 deg. a jump of 50%

if they could they'd keep temps cold so you are paying for heating all year.

but they wouldnt be able to push global warming
