We are now supplied with less electricity per annum than we had in 1995. They have replaced Coal with wind and gas. We are now more dependent on GAS than we were in 1995, with 40% of current energy supply coming from gas generated electricity. Gas usage (as a supply of electricity) has doubled since 1995. Also worth noticing, nuclear is now half what it was in 1995 and hydro generation has not changed one bit.
