Anti Facts Sir
ITV's coverage of Euro2020 is the worst....those creepy ads, normalising masks, the blatant racial agendas...and what is that song about... "you ain't the problem"? What has that got to do with the football. At least the BBC have done a fairly stylish presentation without pandering to all this nonsense. And they're not quite as bad with the pundits/presenters...ITV have asian/black women presenting, and then a panel usually of either exclusively black or black and female players/managers. I like the Chelsea Women's manager they have on, she knows her stuff inside out and offers analysis that's better than a lot of the men. But the agenda is clear with the ethnic/gender make-up of these shows.
Truthspoon
You reminded me of this, I actually love this, and it's what we're all secretly thinking when we see these daft whamen cynically deployed to ruin and politicise traditional male-spaces with unnecessary and unwelcome social change agendas. I turned on the telly the other day quite rare these days. And the cricket was on. And there was equal female male presenters on that. I didn't even know women played cricket? Or were even that interested? Just seemed weird to me - would be like men commenting on netball matches...... I used to be a complete football nut supporting West Ham from an early age. 1st put off for me was when football went corporate and priced families out of matches. But the wokism is a step too far - won't be supporting England for sure. I am half German - so guess will be rooting for them unless they start doing it again. Politics has no place in sport imo. EDIT: can you imagine the no of complaints if that kind of comedy was on the telly now? Mr H
I don't even understand this knee gesture anyway or have any idea where it came from? Like anything you wish to give up, you have to create a totally new paradigm, not fight with old ones. For example, if you want to give up smoking, the worst thing you could do is to think all day "I must give up smoking" because smoking will be on your mind all day long and you would have a miserable day. So these people are really, whether its intentional or not, are actually in reality, most likely encouraging more racism rather than eliminating it. Anti Facts Sir
Womens Cricket is actually quite good, albeit only at international level by the top handful of teams. Lots of skill. The BBC lady is Isha Gua, who was a good fast bowler back in the 00s....she's always been eloquent and knowledgeable. Although SKY replacing David Gower, Ian Botham etc with her was a bit of an overpromotion at this stage. As is Ebony Rainford-Brent, who pops up on BBC and SKY as well. I wouldn't class either as purely box-tickers but yes it is odd to have all these females now taking over the presentation of men's cricket (and men's sport generally). I try to judge on merit but the blatant agendas at play here with sport, and the politicising/feminising of it, are impossible to ignore. I think they should all be concentrating on playing better football, instead of the other nonsense. And by the looks of England's 3 group matches, they really need to be. Jesus Christ it's completely devoid of anything.

"It means im not a racist innit" I'm not even sure it does mean this, depending on your definition of racism. This seems to be more specifically about black people from what I have seen. Don't be nasty to black people campaign. Sure that's one derivative of racism but it's not racism. If you look at what is at the heart of "racism", a suspicion of someone who is not in your tribe, who you don't know, for the protection of your own tribe - you could even argue that a degree of racism is a relatively sensible, natural and logical thing. But the word used in the media etc seems to specifically target skin colour and in this particular instance black people. A Patriotic Alternative account was banned on Twitter the other day for simply for saying that he isn't ethnically English and was born in Jamaica. Where is the lie there? All the self-hating white people in the comments were saying "I bet this gammon will celebrate if he scores", like we still give a damn about bloody sportsball. They would have to pay me to watch that shit. They don't give a damn if their nation is under attack as long as their favourite footballer is scoring. I'm starting to believe we really are dumb Britbongs like the anons on those spicy forums say.

Truthspoon
I tried watching the Croatia Spain game..... there's some whaman commentating... feels like I'm watching the under 16 netball final or something. All of the repartee and wit between two seasoned male sports commentators that we used to enjoy so much has gone. What's the point. Just sterilise our whole world you bastards and strip all the fun and excitement out of it to fulfill poltical agendas. Sport, and male football, one would assume, could be safely identified as a MASCULINE. Can't we just let it be masculine and enjoy the masculinity of it....I mean that's why it is so successful because of male qualities. Why cut its balls off and pretend its better? They're cutting the balls off out world folks....... and not just the footballs..... every male and every male pursuit, our culture, history and the great things men have achieved and created for the betterment of the human race is being attacked. They'll just make everything crap and no one will care anymore.....and we'll just move to the habitation pods to suckle the soy milk teat and have the Facebook Social media electrode lubed up and implanted directly into our brains and all thoughts of excitement, victory, strength and wonder electronically removed until we are fit for the feminised new planetary utopia. I know football was always bread and circuses but at least it was an escape for men. Now there is now escape. You will be a good boy or nanny will be cross. Fluke
Yeah it's the first time I have heard the term "playing too low" instead of too deep. She was atrocious and the chap beside her commentating wasn't much better. I used to go in the late 90s with my dad it was very manly energy, aggressive. It was mainly low leagues because that culture still existed of people working hard for a wage and then letting off some steam. The language was disgusting at times and he did say he regretted not taking me as often but was worried I was going to become a football holligan or something. But I loved it and more than the football... I've said it before you go to football and you meet your mate with his wife, if she's a women (who genuinely enjoys football) she would likely agree. They don't want to hear a women or see a women, and neither do I. But I can't say that because I'm called a sexist.. The last few years the male game has become emasculated on many levels you see that in a generational thing also. Players hugging and kissing, which would normally be a European foreign thing. It's becoming soft, and as a result I think will see them try and immerse women in the game and have it mixed 20 years down the line. The Swiss game was excellent and was nice to see the frogs go out. Was the best game of football I've seen in years. Kind of looking forwards to tonights game but doubt I'll get back to club football after this tournament.
