Yeah I wished I wouldn't have watched the euros and invested my emotions in that final.

Couldn't make it up could you. In fact I shouldn't have watched any of it. Certainly won't be anymore and I won't support England ever again. Disgrace.

yeah - it can only get better 😁

arsenal's new signing goalkeeper aaron ramsdale had to restrict/disable comments on his social media platforms because of the abuse he got from arsenal fans. he was 'fat-shamed' and given death threats and all sorts of abuse but this didn't make the news. didn't fit their narrative because he's white i suppose.

Billy Gilmour got some homophobic chants last week and it made headlines. So yeah, unfortunately for Ramsdale it only matters if it's about being black or about your sexuality (no idea what Gilmour does in his private life but seeing as 99% of football chanting basically calls everyone gay, it's kind of irrelevant).

i've used all sorts of 'abuse' and slang in my life, wrongly really, but doesn't mean i'm a supremacist. like calling someone a baldy (which i am 😁) or specky bastard; doesn't mean i'm a hair or eye supremacist or discriminatory towards them. it's just a heat of the moment thing.

Like everything now, it's a totally ridiculous reaction to behaviour that's been going on for decades. That it should make the news, when one person is accused of saying "bad things" to a footballer (in a crowd for 50,000) is nonsense. They really just don't want people at sports events anymore. Or ones that aren't submissive and not prepared to sit there with a mask on.

My old man used to try and take me to a few games as a kid, but the stuff I'd have to listen to around me from "fans" just put me off. The incessant, disgusting things aimed at Shearer in one match proved the tipping point. If they're doing that to the bloke who was (then) the top player in Britain, I didn't want to hear it when they were slagging off crap players.

The thing is now the global fanbase they are trying to appeal to. Last time i went to the emriates if you go to the pubs and in the ground theres still some old school north london life long arsenal fans. But with the tv money and more of a chance for foreign footballers to follow the club (which i think is good) they are just going to use that against the old fans.

Lets face it look at how corporate it all is now with the media types. The emriates is also full of tourists and i am sure its the same in all the other big rich clubs. And they rightly (arsenal) have a rep for being the prawn sandwhich brigade. I was there with my brother about 6 years ago and we tried to knock up an atmosphere by singing and the fans looked at us like we were a bunch of retards. Only time theres any atmosphere there is if its aa big fixture.

So not only are the footballers getting softer on the field, (and i am not saying players should start acting like scumbags and breaking legs or anything like that )the fans are turning into a bunch of soyboys. So what if a bloke in the crowd wants to shout out wanker? Banter as well. Was watching dagenham redbridge vs charlton in league 1 years ago and the goalkeeper must have been late 40s early 50s and noticablely overweight. Our end chanted "you fat bastard". And the goalkeeper turned round and bounced his belly at us. We were all laughing. Of course its a bit tragic and you wouldnt expect that sort of thing in the premier league.

I am personally not going to watch it anymore I'll follow the scores and some of the transfers as football comes in handy for small talk with people. To me its just taking the piss when footballers are getting paid thousands and thousands a pound a week and then lecture and walk off and all this carry on.

Really sad how its all turned out. I used to think the lower leagues were a bit more "honest", watching a 3rd division game the other day and they were all diving round like a bunch of pansies. Football was shit to top it all off so its a double whamy.

The Big Match Revisited on ITV4 is a bit of a godsend for us oldies who prefer football the way it used to be. Last night's game with a rising QPR from '74 was fantastic.

Arsenal sold their soul and their history off to foreigners...both on and off the field. The fact they're now a struggling mid-table side with shit players, a shit manager and a soulless stadium is proof that karma exists.

Gotta laugh at BBC "Breaking News" from last night: Hungarian fans boo England players taking the knee! Fuckin top news that.

What's interesting is that they quote Southgate and John Stones both saying that neither had heard any of the racism supposedly directed towards England's black players. Unlike BBC reporter Juliette Ferrington though, she'd heard it all of course. I'm not saying there wasn't anything at all to this, but it stinks of false flaggery bs or outright lies.

I vowed to boycott all England matches after what happened in Euro 2020. And after the reports coming in from this match, and all the continuous hyperbolic noise on the news channels and in the media, confirm why I was right to stick to my decision. Race race race, abuse abuse abuse. Blah blah fucking blah.

It's Eastern Europe. That's how it is there. It goes with the territory, literally. It happened in Bulgaria, Macedonia, all of them. Now if the players and coaches and media want to turn every bit of hostility and abuse into a racial agenda, and keep picking young black kids for those games, then they can get on with it and leave proper football to the rest of us.

If it was so bad, then don't go there. Boycott those nations, like I'm boycotting Southgate's "team". See how quickly UEFA and FIFA act then, when countries stop putting up with crap. Points deductions....disqualification....so what. Create a Home Nations tournament like we used to have. Nobody needs years of shit one-sided matches in European hell holes anyway.

Andorra next. Honestly, who gives a .....

I spent one summer at a Bobby Moore soccer school. He was there one of the days, but I never forgot how miserable he seemed, like he did not want to be there at all. This was the captain of the 1966 World Cup winners....maybe 15 years or so later. Fortunately for me he wasn't any sort of hero figure (my generation was Keegan, Brooking, Francis, Hoddle etc), because that would have been quite upsetting.

Everyone has bad days, I guess. And maybe he was suffering (he had recurring bowel cancer that killed him less than a decade after that). But you should always try and put on a show for the kids, because they are very impressionable and naively look up to footballers as gods.

i aint no golf fan but europe won the solheim cup which is the equivalent of the men's ryder cup tournament, and all i can see are the winners who are white blonde women celebrating.

i can foresee somehow the bastards saying something about white privilege, lack of diversity or racism rearing it's head about this.

Probably. It's all so tiresome isn't it.

Don't the EU team have the French mixed-race woman, Celine Boutier? She was at the last Solheim anyway, a brilliant player. Europe teams used to be very Nordic-based...when Sweden and those countries dominated the women's game. Now it's always the Asian players at every LPGA event, which is every bit as tiresome and lacking diversity.

We have the players we have. USA have theirs. But race has got itself firmly entangled in sport now. Wouldn't be surprised if that's even why Moeen Ali was recalled to the Test Cricket team despite being crap for the last 2-3 years, and there being excellent (but white) spin options around.

I hope they leave Golf alone because it's just about the only bloody sport I have left to watch. Football's finished for me, and the (Men's) Cricket is a shambles with an idiot captain and coach.

Sadly next to no chance of that. They'll have a miraculous upturn in form just in time to end up about 13th.

Can't have L'Arsenal in the Championship.

Yeah they will do a west ham. Weren't they supposed to be in the 2nd Division one year and they got promoted?.

Anyways hoping Poland do this.

Look at these fucking cretins. Almost insulting the polish in their own homeland.

I'm never ever ever supporting England again.

Beat you to it by a couple of months!

And of course they have turned the Poland match into more fucking racial aggro. If it's not the crowds, or the British public on twitter, it's the opposition players. Or the coach, Or the bloke who hands out the drinks. Or someone who doesn't even exist. But it's ALL racism, innit.
