It's incomprehensible to me how a parent of a pre-teen could allow their child to be mutilated. It was infiltrated as far back as the late 19th Century when the Oxford Movement rose up, championed by John Henry Newman (later Cardinal Newman after he defected to Rome), it was another tactic employed in the ongoing counter-reformation, that continues today.
