I believe that we may be looking at things the wrong way. We need a different approach, else we will not get anywhere....I see on this forum now.. a lot of confused voices...

Hi K21 🙂

We each and everyone of us have the automatic invite (or rite I would like to think at some level of community involvement if we are a credible force for good) sooo I believe to be making suggestions in of course, *suggestions* section, could achieve that, if enough voices speak up as you are doing.. feel free to post there..

I COMPLETELY understand the outsiders view when they first come here, you can't see the woods for the trees and all that, I was the same. (which isn't to say I am now loving the swearing for example that goes on too much here)

Just before my welcome, I spotted you in this thread!  🙂

I have posted there myself,  so, I kind of get you...

bare in mind some people are suffering from fatigue

It's frustrating to know what is happening and what will happen and then see society blindly stumble into the trap over and over again

I do bear it mind its okay (to an extent), but at other times you wonder is swearing just swagger or frustration/fatigue, whatever, just becoming a very nasty habit.

Swearing is like venting, I get that but about those people

... maybe you lot would learn to like yourselves (whoever you be) better if you tried to tame it a little. And it need not  compromise the expression of a <maybe angry> opinion in the process.

No -male or female- is any less of a person for not swearing so much (I am  not perfect by my language all the time but can't recall having sworn in this place)

Whatever is in peoples' heads that makes swearing seem appealing, releasing dopamine, great 😏...  (but also often it just looks/sounds ugly, uninviting,  ESPECIALLY TO  NEW MEMBERS) .

Like you're mentioning quite pertinently Macnamara, the definition of awefulness is indeed stuff like history repeating itself and to see society in that way will wind people up repeatedly, I understand.  Anyone here to that end.

I mean take activism and campaigning where even one has to think HMMM, how can I get flyers to be read easily by main stream brain constrainers, the msg literally has to be dumbed down to meet them on their

level for in case the public don't "get it"

(don't get me wrong, whatever needs must for that)...  but you see there too could be a clear source of >> swear potential frustration << if we get such a msg wrong and the blnded go on being blinded.

I'm not a prude or anything so churlish, but swearing for a reason is one thing, which ia tolerable until suddenly oh oh and oh, its ubiquitous just like a catagion because meaningless swearing or showboat swearing becoming as a bad habit is like a bad history repeating itself too. Like a permanently scratched record when others can see it but the *rabid swearer* cannot or will not.

what approach?

there are bad actors who will always seek to muddy the waters

The only way to combat that is to push back whenever someone pops onto the forum to push lies or twisted perceptions of reality
