It should be noted that even after 223 years after the books publication that the city of Edinburgh refuses to celebrate this historical event. It was Edinburgh that helped to reveal the truth to the world. but yet the city & its residents refuse to even acknowledge this event or to have a dedicated day to celebrate its publication. Also you would think that the city would acknowledge the birthday of the man who revealed this to the world. but no. John Robison is persona non grata in Edinburgh. Considering this is Scottish history this is a historical injustice that needs looked at...........

if you want to study those networks I would look at the lists of freemasonic grandmasters of scottish freemasonry and then also go into st giles cathedral and look in the thistle chapel and note the names of the people who are in the order of the thistle because these are the higher ups hand picked by the crown

 

These people with the usual recurring surnames are the kabbalistic elite of scotland and they are intermarried with and interconnected with the equivalent network in england and beyond.

 

They are descended from knights templar bloodlines whose surnames have sometimes changed over time to more modern spellings

In Edinburgh you will find every occult group and religion. You will find wiccans, OTO, AA, bahai, theosophy, freemasonry, jehovahs witnesses and all with active groups and often headquarters

 

The crusading knightly orders also had (have) headquarters in the area. The templars were headquartered in the village of 'temple' just outside edinburgh near rosslyn chapel and the knights of st john had an HQ at torphican but now they have a building that is affixed to scotlands oldest purpose built freemasonic lodge which is just off the royal mile in the lower third of the street.

 

If you go there you will find that they have their cross symbol sunk into the tarmac of the royal mile road itself just a short distance from the scottish parliament and the royal residence of holyrood

 

If you think of the most famous and ubiquitous corporations like for example mcdonalds and starbucks you can see that even they can't get their corporate logo sunk into the road itself and the best they can do is have a sign hanging off their own building

 

When the templars were supposedly suppressed only a few were put on trial in scotland and essentially given a verbal slap on the wrist. Unlike france where templars were arrested and tortured in britain the order simply merged with the knights of st john and continued. The knights templar DID NOT END. In portugal they renamed themselves the 'knights of christ' and continued.

 

But impressive as a logo in the tarmac of the road is the knightly orders have far surpassed that mere trifle. If you stand at a vantage point within the city of edinburgh and cast your eyes to the pentlands you will see some dry sky slopes at hillend. To the right of those you will see a forest planted in the shape of a cross. On some maps you will find this cross shaped forest marked as 'T wood' but on other maps you will find it marked 'templar wood'

 

The flanks of those hills are, excepting the skies themselves, the biggest canvas in edinburgh and the knightly orders have their symbol right there and every day thousands of motorists drive past it on the bypass without the faintest idea it is there but then they don't notice the white chemtrails etched across the blue skies above their heads either so clearly they are blind and lack the eyes to see.

 

You would think that in a population of half a million people, many of which class themselves as 'professionals' that at least some people of note would notice such things....

Its site, at the crest of a hill in south Edinburgh, would at one time have commanded extensive views to the lands north and west.

But today, the stone is found nestled within an alcove at the east side of the appropriately-named Caiystane View – one of numerous streets in the area named after the standing stone.

Excavations during road works in the early 19th century turned up various cairns, cists, urns, and burials containing hundreds of skeletons dating back to the Bronze Age, indicating that the site was in use for a prolonged period of time.

One mooted origin story behind the Caiy Stane is that it was to mark the site of an ancient battle, either involving Romans and Picts, or Angles, Vikings and even Cromwellians. This explanation has since been discredited by historians.

Experts at Historic Environment Scotland (HES) believe the Caiy Stane, which has been a scheduled monument since 1935 and bears legal protection, to be significantly older.

A spokesperson told the Evening News: “It has gone by several names – Caiy Stane, Cetstane; Kel Stane and Camus Stone, and is has been identified as a prehistoric standing stone. It once stood in open countryside and is typical of this type of monument.

"The rear face of the stone has a line of six indentations which are probably cup marks. This supports the suggested date as being late Neolithic/early Bronze Age.”

While the exact beginnings behind this fascinating standing stone be unknown – like so many of Scotland’s ancient monuments – the Caiy Stane has withstood the elements for millennia and watched Edinburgh grow from a tiny settlement south of the Firth of Forth to the major European capital city it is today.

Given its history and protected status, we expect the Caiy Stane will be with us for thousands of years yet to come.

The Case of the Trinity Poltergeist of 1835

In 1848, she published The Night Side of Nature, her bestselling study of the spectral world. One of the most astounding cases in Night Side of Nature deals with a long-forgotten Edinburgh spook, the Trinity Poltergeist.

In June 1835, Captain Molesworth, an officer stationed at Leith Fort, rented a comfortable semi-detached house in Trinity, then a village two miles from the city. His 12-year-old daughter Matilda had recently died and his elder daughter Jane was an invalid. After two months, Captain Molesworth began to complain of certain unaccountable and spooky noises, which he thought were made by his landlord Mr Webster, who occupied the other half of the building. Mr Webster retorted that he had no reason to damage the reputation of his own house by representing it as being haunted. But the uncanny noises continued: knockings, scratchings and rustlings, first on one side, then on the other. The Poltergeist, as we shall call the spectral entity infesting the house, sometimes was heard rapping to a certain tune, like if it knew music; it also seemed to possess some degree of intelligence, by answering questions such as ‘How many people are in the room?’ by the correct number of rappings. Sometimes these rappings were forcible enough for the wall to tremble.

There were footsteps of invisible feet, and at other times, the beds were heaved upwards, as if some person had been hiding underneath them. Captain Molesworth had the floorboards lifted in the rooms where the spectral noises were loudest and most frequent, and drilled a hole through the wall separating his residence from that of Mr Webster, but without catching the Poltergeist. Hoping to teach his spectral tormentor a hard lesson, the frantic officer even fired a rifle at the wainscot. Captain Molesworth next called in reinforcements: sheriff’s officers, masons, justices of the peace, and officers of the regiment stationed at Leith. Suspecting that some malicious outside prankster was at work, these ghostbusters formed a cordon around the house, but without any success. Suspicion next turned to the invalid girl Jane, who was tied up in a bag to prevent her from being up to mischief, but with no effect on the Poltergeist’s activities.

In the end, Captain Molesworth had enough: ill and worn out by the anxieties of the prolonged haunting, he quitted the house and moved away. The Trinity neighbours were gossiping that the ghost of Matilda had come to haunt the house, to warn her invalid sister that she was soon to follow her into a Better World; this happened just as predicted, Mrs Crowe assures us, probably as a result of the severe measures taken while Jane was under suspicion.

At the time Mrs Crowe was writing, no later occupant of the house had experienced any spectral manifestations. Since Mrs Crowe was not the most reliable of authors – in February 1854 she was observed walking naked through the Capital because the spirits had told her she was invisible, a stint in Hanwell Asylum followed – documentary proof is needed that Captain Molesworth and Mr Webster really existed.

Here, the ‘Deaths’ column of the Scotsman of June 3, 1835 provides an important clue: “At North Leith, on the 27th ult. Matilda Caroline, second oldest daughter of Captain Molesworth, Royal Artillery.”

The North Leith Old Parish Registers confirm this information, adding that the 12-year-old Matilda was buried on May 30 1835, presumably in the North Leith Burial Ground. This would seem to prove the existence of both Captain Molesworth and his deceased daughter. Inquiries at the Royal Artillery Museum reveal that there were two captains named Molesworth in 1835; regrettably, genealogical research excludes them both from having daughters named Jane and Matilda, although they had other children alive.

As for poor Jane, who had been so shamefully treated during the Trinity Poltergeist affair, there is no trace that she died in Scotland or England at the relevant period of time.

In her Night Side of Nature, Mrs Crowe further informs us that Mr Webster took Captain Molesworth to court for damage caused by the officer lifting the floorboards, boring holes in the walls, and shooting at the wainscot, as well as for “injury done in giving the house the reputation of being haunted, thus preventing other tenants from renting it.”

Mrs Crowe gives the source of the Trinity Poltergeist as facts communicated to her “by the gentleman who conducted the suit for the plaintiff.” He had spent many hours in “examining the numerous witnesses, several of whom were officers in the army, and gentlemen of undoubted honour and capacity for observation.”

In his 1860 book Footfalls on the Boundary of Another World, Robert Dale Owen names this solicitor as Maurice Lothian, at the time of writing Procurator Fiscal of the county of Edinburgh. The suit was heard at the Edinburgh Sheriff Court on August 7 1837, and won by Mr Webster: Captain Molesworth was ordered to pay for the repairs to the house.The majority of haunted houses fit into five categories. Firstly, there are the houses presumed to be haunted by some famous personage who had once lived there. These stories are often intended for the consumption of tourists.

Then we have the ‘haunted site’ , like Mary King’s Close in the Royal Mile. Thirdly, it was not uncommon that houses of a very dilapidated and neglected appearance became notorious in the neighbourhood. They might fit into a ‘Miss Havisham’ legend and be considered the abode of some tragic recluse who had once been crossed in love.

Fourthly, there are the Victorian murder houses, which often developed a reputation for being haunted, particularly in London and if the murder was high-profile and/or unsolved, with ‘blood crying out for vengeance’. As I concluded in my book Murder Houses of Edinburgh, the people of the Scottish Capital tended to avoid these London excesses: even the most notorious Edinburgh murder houses, like Eugène Chantrelle’s house at 81A George Street, never developed a reputation for being haunted. Finally, what is a poltergeist? In her Night Side of Nature, Mrs Crowe introduced the word into the English language: “The annoyances appear rather like the tricks of a mischievous imp. I refer to what the Germans call the Poltergeist, or racketing spectre, for the phenomenon is known in all countries, and has been known in all ages.”

The rationalists have explained away poltergeist hauntings as deception or mass hysteria; the occult philosophers have considered them manifestations of the ghost of some recently deceased person or an unknown form of energy. Often a female adolescent is at the centre of the uncanny phenomena.

Edinburgh has not been spared the attention of the poltergeists, with Blacket Place, Learmonth Gardens and Hazeldean Terrace becoming infested by the spooks; the Trinity Poltergeist is the earliest, and most mysterious, of them all. In many respects, it represents a typical poltergeist haunting, being temporally limited and ended by the permanent expulsion of Captain Molesworth and Jane from the Trinity house of horrors.

This is a stain & shame on all of Edinburgh and its people. It is a major Illuminati bio-programming hub and is full of disturbed & damaged children, who have been abandoned there by their psychopathic parents who have been subject to the same level of institutional child abuse. Fettes also as a large list of historical child abuse accusations levelled at it too.

 

Even worse without any sort of public enquiry Fettes College was quietly turned into an MOD registered boarding school. This means they get almost £1 million a year in MOD grants to keep the school open. Question is what is the UK deep state doing to the children there to merit getting that amount of blood money?! Disgusting. (The only other boarding school in Scotland to share this same "privilege", is the grotesque & satanic MOD registered Queen Victoria School in Dunblane. The same school that used the services of Dunblane killer Thomas Hamilton.)

 

If you get a chance to do so i would suggest taking a trip up to the school's surrounding area at Fettes in Edinburgh (do so during the school holidays when no children are there). There is a heavy repulsive, satanic morphic-resonance-field that emanates from that school & immediate area. If you are remotely sensitive or psychic you will feel something horrific coming from that building.

The Spec’s part in the creation of Israel?

What is, unarguably the case, is that 100 years ago The Speculative Society of Edinburgh, a bastion of conservatism was, in the actions of their Honorary Member Arthur Balfour, pivotal in the creation of the state of Israel.

A. J. Balfour’s active membership  of The Spec began in 1904 and continued at least until the 150th anniversary celebrations in 1914. His was no nominal honour whereby the diploma he received was tossed in a drawer and forgotten. No, he was active in the society and would have mixed with the movers and shakers of the day.

In 1904 the persons who immediately preceded him in being bestowed honorary membership were Sir William Turner, Principal of Edinburgh University then The Earl of Rosebery. Coincidentally the same three men, led by Rosebery as Chairman, headed the Spec’s 150th anniversary celebration committee.

That of course may be fanciful speculation, but then again the pair had much in common over and above their membership of the Speculative Society of Edinbugh.

Twa Cheeks O’ The Same Airse!

Let us examine the differences between Balfour and Rosebery first; well they did belong to different political parties, but that apart there isn’t a lot to note.

Born in 1847, the son of Lord Dalmeny, Archibald Philip Primrose, later Lord Rosebery, was a member of the Church of Scotland and is buried in the private vault of the Rosebery family in Dalmeny Parish church, Mid Lothian.

Similarly, Arthur James Balfour, 1st Earl of Balfour, born 1848, was a Church of Scotland member and is buried in Whittingehame Parish church, East Lothian, about 30 miles east of Dalmeny.

The two men were major landowners living in neighbouring estates north of Edinburgh and would have been reared in the traditions of the Church of Scotland, which, in 1839, submitted a memorandum to the Protestant Powers of Europe urging the restoration of the Jews in Palestine.

This memorandum followed the tour of Palestine in 1839 by Church of Scotland minister Alexander Keith, D.D. who concluded in his report back to the church that the Jews are “a people without a country; even as their own land [Palestine], as subsequently to be shown, is in a great measure a country without a people.”

Both boys, reared on Christian Zionism, were then, as 13-year-old boys, sent off to be educated Eton in 1860. Later, both, as elderly, experienced politicians, were pivotal in celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Speculative Society of Edinburgh in 1914.

They both had an active interest in politics. Both were former Prime and Foreign Ministers and both had Rothschild interests.

Balfour was for many years a Conservative colleague, friend and fellow aristocrat of Walter, the 2nd Baron Rothschild while Rosebery was married to Walter’s kinswoman, Hannah de Rothschild.

Beyond mere speculation is the fact – evidenced by the arrogant tone of the speeches at the 1914 celebrations – that the members of The Spec were rabid Empire Loyalists who would have approved of Great Britain (meaning England) giving part of a country that didn’t belong to them to their chosen friends in the aristocracy.

In his maiden speech as Prime Minister Rosebery opined: “Before Irish home rule is conceded by an Imperial parliament, England, as the predominant member of the partnership of the three kingdoms will have to be convinced of its justice and equity.”

To these two privileged men Britannia ruled the waves and could do as she jolly-well pleased.

To me it is inconceivable that they never discussed Zionism, the belief which resulted in the letter known as the Balfour Declaration a few years later.

There were of course some slight differences in the two arrogant aristocrats, but in my view they were, nevertheless, twa cheeks o’ the same airse (different in style alone in their arrogance).

Fifteen feet beneath a modest house, behind an average door on Drum Street in Gilmerton, near Liberton in south Edinburgh, lies a network of seven chambers and numerous tunnels hand carved from the sandstone beneath the streets.

Ever since the discovery of the mysterious and historic site, the tunnels' intended purpose has remained a mystery to both archaeologists and casual observers alike for three hundred years.

 

And interestingly, a recent ground penetration survey has indicated that the caves are significantly larger than previously estimated, possibly up to twice as large - but some are inaccessible.

In 2003 Gilmerton Cove was opened to the public as an educational resource, after a five year collaboration project between the Gilmerton heritage group and Edinburgh Council.

There remains very little archaeological evidence to suggest why the tunnels were created. Over the years, people have suggested that that the seven chambers and numerous passages were a base for smugglers; a hiding place for religious refugees or simply a place for the gentry to drink.

One possible basis for the theory that the Cove was a discrete drinking place for the gentry comes from parish records, which confirm that in the 18th-century the tunnels were the residence of blacksmith George Paterson, who was reprimanded for allowing the consumption of alcohol within the Cove.

 

And in 2007 the documentary series "Cities of the Underworld" featured the Cove in the episode "Scotland's Sin City". They concluded that the Cove was linked to the nearby Hellfire Club via a secret passage.

The Hellfire Clubs were a loose association of high society membership organisations for people who were reputed to "engage in immoral activities" - possibly including mock religious ceremonies where they ate "Holy Ghost Pie", "Breast of Venus", and "Devil's Loin". But beyond that, the clubs themselves are shrouded in mystery as well.

The Hellfire Club was an exclusive membership-based organisation for high-society rakes, that was first founded in London in 1718, by Philip, Duke of Wharton, and several of society’s elites.

Wharton was a powerful Jacobite politician, writer, a wealthy peer, and Grand Master of the Premier Grand Lodge of England who led a double life as a drunkard, a rioter, an infidel and a rakehell (meaning a man who was habituated to immoral conduct such as womanising, and wasting his fortune through acts of gambling and debauchery).

Wharton’s club was considered a satirical “gentleman’s club” (although women are also purported to attend), intended to shock and ridicule religious beliefs through the act of mock religious ceremonies with the supposed president of this club being the devil.

 

The club came to an end in 1721, due to political maneuvering by Wharton’s enemies pushing through a bill against “horrid impieties”, resulting in Wharton being removed from Parliament and the club being disbanded.

The club was reformed by Francis Dashwood, the 11th Baron le Despencer under the name of the Order of the Knights of St Francis (although the club also went under the names of the Brotherhood of St. Francis of Wy, the Order of the Friars of St Francis of Wycombe and the Order of Knights of West Wycombe) around 1746.

 

Dashwood commissioned the construction of a complex series of tunnels and chalk and flint caverns for the club’s meetings on the Dashwood estate of West Wycombe Park in Buckinghamshire, England. Known today as the Hellfire Caves or the West Wycombe Caves, the complex extends for 0.25 miles beneath the church of St Lawrence and the Dashwood family Mausoleum.

Each chamber is connected by a series of narrow passageways, consisting of the Entrance Hall, the Steward’s Chamber, the Whitehead’s Cave, Lord Sandwich’s Circle, Franklin’s Cave, the Banqueting Hall, the Triangle, the Miner’s Cave, and the Inner Temple, which was accessed by crossing a faux river meant to represent the River Styx (a river in Greek mythology that forms the boundary between Earth and the Underworld).

Members of the club included prominent 18th-century figures such as John Montagu (the 4th Earl of Sandwich), William Hogarth (an English painter, printmaker, pictorial satirist, social critic, and editorial cartoonist), John Wilkes (a journalist and politician), and Thomas Potter (a politician and Vice-Treasurer of Ireland).

It has also been claimed that Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and a close friend of Dashwood visited the caves on more than one occasion.

Many rumours of black magic, satanic rituals and orgies were in circulation during the life of the club, with the notable English writer Horace Walpole stating that “practice was rigorously pagan: Bacchus and Venus were the deities to whom they almost publicly sacrificed; and the nymphs and the hogsheads that were laid in against the festivals of this new church, sufficiently informed the neighbourhood of the complexion of those hermits.”

By the early 1760’s, the club began to decline and would eventually be dissolved, possibly due to Dashwood’s appointment as Chancellor of the Exchequer which ended in failure, or him taking a role of greater respectability in society with his elevation as the 11th Baron le Despencer.

Various branches or legacy incarnations of the Hellfire Club continued to carry out meetings, such as the Beggar’s Benison in Scotland which dissolved in the 19th century, and some argued to meet at various historic educational institutions of Ireland and Britain today.

The Hell-Fire Club

Sex, Politics, and Religion in Eighteenth-Century England

On moonlit nights during the reign of England's King George III, immensely powerful members of His Majesty's Government, important intellectuals, and influential artists could sometimes be seen travelling up the Thames River by gondola to a ruined abbey near West Wycombe. There, to the sonorous tolling of the deconsecrated cloister's bell, they dressed in monkish robes and indulged in every manner of depravity, culminating in a Black Mass celebrated on the naked body of a debauched noblewoman and presided over by that notorious rake Sir Francis Dashwood. Their diabolical devotions concluded, the inner circle would adjourn to plot the course of the British Empire.

This "unholy sodalily," as it has been called, styled themselves, with suitably Gothic flair, "The Friars of St. Francis of Medmenham," though they have been immortalized by their popular epithet "The Hell-Fire Club." In that gossipy age there was much speculation about the infernal activities of the society, and in 1765, Charles Johnstone published a roman a clef entitled Chrysal, or the Adventures of a Guinea, which was popularly believed to reveal the secrets of the "Medmenham Monks."

Unfortunately for those whose prurient tastes are tempered with a dose of critical scholarship, the Hell-Fire Club does not live up to its reputation. Most of the contemporary writers who allude to "Saint Francis" and his "Brotherhood" at Medmenham Abbey had an ax to grind, and the Monks themselves were so secretive that some modern historians have concluded that the whole thing was mere fiction. (1) But perhaps now, over two centuries later, we can attempt to sketch the Hell-Fire Club against the background of its time, tentatively pencilling in the enigmatic features of its putative high priest, Sir Francis Dashwood, Baron Le Despencer.

THE CLUB'S PRECURSORS

Although the Medmenham Monks are the most famous band to be dignified with the appellation, they were certainly not the original Hell-Fire Club. The first half of the century saw the establishment of many circles of rakehells throughout the British Isles, and tales of their activities have often been transferred to Dashwood's group. (2)

For our purposes the Monks' most important precursor is the Hell-Fire Club founded around 1719 in London by Philip, Duke of Wharton (1698-1731). (3) Wharton was a prominent Whig politician, Freemason, and atheist who sought to ridicule religion by publicly presiding over festive gatherings with "Satanic" trappings. These meetings were often held in a tavern near St. James's Square, although a nearby riding academy was sometimes pressed into service to permit the attendance of ladies of good reputation who could not be decently expected to be seen in a public house.

Of the female members, one in particular stands out: Lady Mary Wortley Montagu, Wharton's mistress and a notable figure in her own right. Lady Mary was a strong-willed individualist who was not content with the polite life of a married lady. She travelled extensively on the Continent without an escort and was rumoured to have infiltrated the Sultan's harem in Constantinople, where she discovered the secret of the smallpox vaccine. (4)

The eventual fate of Wharton's group is of interest. In 1720 Parliament passed the South Sea Bill, a dubious piece of legislation which permitted the South Sea Company to assume the entire national debt in order to pay it off out of its profits. This bizarre attempt at privatization resulted in a short-term stock market boom followed by a disastrous crash. Thousands lost their fortunes, including Wharton. A modern reader cannot help comparing the situation to the recent savings and loan scandal.

Wharton, who had opposed the scheme from the beginning, soon found himself at the head of a shaky coalition of opposition Whigs and Tories who were unified only by their outrage against the government headed by Lord Sunderland. With this sort of backing, Wharton and his "Grumbletonian" Whigs were a political force to be reckoned with. (5)

The majority Whigs unleashed a brilliant counterattack. To divert public attention from the South Sea Bubble and undermine Wharton's political credibility, Sunderland and Sir Robert Walpole denounced Wharton's Hell-Fire activities before Parliament. These charges of immorality alienated the conservative Tories and moderate Whigs, and Wharton's power was broken.

The Hell-Fire Club was disbanded, and Wharton went on to become Grand Master Mason of the London Grand Lodge in 1722. During the instalment ceremony, the orchestra played "Let the King Enjoy His Own Again," a Jacobite anthem. This amounted to a dangerous declaration of political allegiance.

The Jacobites favoured the Catholic House of Stuart's claim to the British throne over that of the Protestant, but very German, House of Hanover's. There were many reasons why one might support the Jacobite cause, from Catholic sympathies and a mystical sense of sovereignty to xenophobia and a dislike for the character of the Hanoverian King George I (who reigned from 1714 to 1727), an arrogant "foreigner" who never bothered to learn English. Consequently, the moment attracted a wide variety of adherents with differing political philosophics, and the term soon came to be applied to anyone who held subversive ideas, much like the word "commie" in our own time. Whatever Wharton's motivations, he threw himself into the Jacobite cause, was awarded the Star and Garter by the Old Pretender, James Stuart, and died destitute at the age of thirty-two.

THE FLEDGLING RAKE

Francis Dashwood was born in 1708 into an illustrious line of Turkey merchants (6) who had raised themselves into the ranks of the aristocracy by a combination of hard work, political prowess, and strategic marriage. Dashwood's mother died when he was two years of age and he was soon packed off to Eton for his education. Upon hearing of his father's death in 1724, he locked himself in a cellar for a week to get drunk.

In 1726, the fledging rake left England for his grand tour of the Continent. To Dashwood's credit, it must be said that this trip did inspire him with admiration for more than fine wine and courtesans. While in Florence, he made the acquaintance of the Catholic Jacobite Freemason Abbe Nicolini and was entered in the English Lodge there. When the Earl of Middlesex became master of this lodge some years later, a medal was struck to commemorate the event. It bore a likeness of the Egyptian god Harpocrates, the symbol of the newly born aeon, a child whose finger is raised to his lips as an exhortation to silence. (7)

Dashwood also became enamoured of classical art and architecture during his tour, and upon his return to England founded the Society of Dilettante. This convivial group discussed the classics over dinner and wine, encouraged the growth of the Palladian style of architecture in Britain, and sponsored an archaeological expedition to Asia Minor.

Dashwood did not stay in England long after his return. Soon after the founding of the society, he left with George, Lord Forbes, for St. Petersburg, where he reputedly seduced the Empress Anne of Russia while disguised as King Charles XII of Sweden (who was already dead at the time). (8)

In the late 1730s, Dashwood travelled through Greece and Asia Minor, possibly crossing paths with John Montagu, Earl of Sandwich. The two men shared an interest in Eastern esoterica, which would lead them to found the Divan Club, another convivial group, dedicated to the imitation of things Turkish. (9)

By 1739, Dashwood was on the homeward leg of his journey. On his way, he stopped in Florence to see the Abbe Nicolini, and it was there that he meet Lady Mary Wortley Montagu, the late Duke of Wharton's lover. She would eventually join Sandwich and Dashwood in the Divan Club, and tradition suggests that she was a votaress of Medmenham Abbey as well. (10)

Unfortunately things were not going well for Freemasonry in Italy. Pope Clement XII had recently issued the bull In Eminenti Apostalatus Specula, unleashing the Inquisition against the lodges. (11) By early 1740, the pontiff was dead, and Dashwood went to Rome for the conclave that would elect the new pope. There he playfully assumed the identity of Cardinal Ottiboni, one of the chief persecutors of the Masons, and lampooned him publicly in a scurrilous mock ritual. (12)

Dashwood's next prank had more serious consequences, and did much to establish his infamous reputation. On Good Friday it was the custom for penitents to flagellate themselves in the Sistine Chapel. Whether inspired by the eroticism of the scene or furious at the persecution of his brother Masons, Dashwood, fortified by wine, tested the faith of the pious by thrashing them with an English horsewhip. (13) As can be imagined, this caused no small stir and undoubtedly convinced many of the penitents of the r eality of the devil.

There is a tradition that this incident led to a conversion for the instigator as well. According to author Daniel P. Mannix, who does not cite sources, Dashwood retired to his lodgings in a drunken stupor and fell asleep. He was awakened in the dead of the night by inhuman shrieking, and was startled to observe four glowing green eyes peering in through his window. Convinced that he had been visited by a demon from hell, he repented his sacrilegious stunt and embraced the Catholic faith. From that momen t on, he attended Mass regularly and was never seen without a rosary. This unnatural behaviour continued until his travelling companion revealed that he too had seen the apparition, and informed Dashwood that what he took to be a fiend was in fact a pair of alley cats copulating outside the window. This in turn led to a deconversion that galvanized Dashwood's anti-Catholicism and set him on his path as a Satanist. (14)

Although we will reconsider the truth of this story later, it is clear that, whether or not Dashwood flirted with Catholicism, he did flirt with the Jacobite cause. He made the acquaintance of Prince Charles Edward Stuart, "Bonnie Prince Charlie," then holding court in Rome." Unfortunately for conspiracy buffs, Dashwood would have just missed meeting the prince's tutor, Chevalier Andrew Michael Ramsay, a Roman Catholic Freemason and godfather of the Scottish Rite. At the time, Ramsay was in Paris promulga ting his belief that Freemasonry was descended from the orders of crusading knights and that the House of Stuart was its legitimate champion. (16) Dashwood was favourably impressed with the Young Pretender, who was rumoured to be the Knight of the Red Feather, the "unknown superior" of the Masonic Order of the Temple. (17)

When Dashwood finally returned to England in 1741, his uncle, the Earl of Westmorland, persuaded him to enter politics. But Dashwood would find England's political landscape to be bleak. The electorate was shrinking and corruption growing. Sir Robert Walpole, now "first minister" to King George II (who had succeeded (George I in 1727), had weathered the South Sea scandal with aplomb and set to using bribery and political appointments to jockey himself into a position of unassailable power, forging the off ice that would presently become that of prime minister. (18) The king, meanwhile, was happily financing his German armies with British tax revenues (he still retained his family domain in Hanover) wehiole busily making the foreign entanglements that would lead to the Seven Years' War (1756-63). Dashwood would also have discovered that the Witchcraft law had been repealed in 1736.

THE HELL-FIRE CLUB

Tradition asserts that Dashwood's Hell-Fire Club originally met in London at the George and Vulture Inn. (19) It is possible that Dashwood and his friends gathered in a public house to revel in the freedom now implicitly granted to witches, resurrecting Wharton's Hell-Fire Club in a spirit of mockery. On the other hand, in the early eighteenth century taverns were frequently the meeting places for Masonic lodges, so it is also quite possible that the nascent Hell-Fire Club was a cabal of Jacobite Freemason s. Indeed it might very well have been both.

In 1750, Dashwood rented Medmenham Abbey and began its restoration the following year. "Restoration," however, is perhaps a misleading choice of words. The original abbey dated from the thirteenth century, and had been added to extensively during the Tudor period. Dashwood added a ruined tower and cloister to enhance the building's Gothic atmosphere. Above the (deliberately) crumbling entrance were emblazoned the words of the sixteenth-century philosopher-satirist Francois Rabelais: "Fay ce que voudras" ("Do what thou wilt"). This folly became the new seat of Dashwood's club, which might very well have been known to its erudite familiars as the "Abbey of Theleme." (20)

The abbey's library was said to contain an enviable collection of erotica, although the only volumes it is specifically known to have contained are a Latin Bible published in 1714, a hagiography, and a copy of Conjecture Cabalistica. The walls in one room were decorated with portraits of English kings; Henry VIII's eyes were pasted over with paper. The god Harpocrates, finger to lips, presided over the refectory. (21)

The "chapter-room" is the key to understanding the Monks' activities. Its furnishings remain unknown, and consequently the use to which it was put remains a mystery. Sensationalist authors assume it was a Satanic sanctuary, although it seems more reasonable to conclude that it was used for Masonic ceremonies. John Wilkes, an important member of the Medmenham circle who did not become a Freemason until after his parting of the ways with the group, whines in an article defaming his former friend: "No profa ne eye has dared to penetrate into the English Eleusinian mysteries of the chapter-room, where the monks assembled on all solemn occasions, the more secret rites were performed and libations poured forth in much pomp to the BONA DEA." (22) Author Michael Howard has interpreted this mention of the bona dea, or "good goddess," to mean that Dashwood practised druidic rites, for which he was expelled from the eighteenth-century druidic revival gr oup An Ulieach Druidh Braithreachas in 1743. (23)

Sir Robert Walpole's son Horace, one of Dashwood's political enemies and certainly a stranger to the abbey, mocked: "Whatever their doctrines were, their practice was rigorously pagan: Bacchus and Venus were the deities to whom they almost publicly sacrificed; and the nymphs and the hogsheads that were laid in against the festivals of this new church, sufficiently informed the neighbourhood of the complexion of those hermits." (24) On the other hand, the only activity that outsiders ever actually observed t he brethren engaged in was the occasional boating trip on the Thames. (25) The membership roll of the Medmenham Monks no longer exists, if it ever did, (26) but the names most reliably associated with the group include Dashwood's brother, John Dashwood-King; John Montagu, Earl of Sandwich; John Wilkes; George Bubb Dodington, Baron Melcombe; Paul Whitehead; and a collection of the local lesser gentry and professional men. Hardly the "Hell-Fire Cabinet" of popular legend, but a group of men sufficiently in t he public eye to create scandal.

SEX AND POLITICS

Dashwood married Sarah Gould in 1745, but in an era when prostitution was the surest means for a woman to advance in society and the fate of nations might be determined by syphilis-spawned madness, it would have been unnatural for the Medmenham Monks not to have had some sexual aura about them. Legend portrays the Monks as indulging in sadomasochistic orgies, but given the rumours about Lady Mary Wortley Montagu and the Divan Club, one might well wonder if there is not a hint of Oriental sex magic in all this.

Certainly the monks engaged in ribald jesting. One of their members, probably the satirist George Selwyn, praised the Earl of Sandwich's sexual prowess in an Anglo-Saxon-laced lampoon of Popes Essay on Man. John Wilkes printed a private edition of twelve copies of this "Essay on Woman" for distribution to his Medmenham cronies. (27)

The Hell-Fire Club does not seem to have had a unified political agenda. Although most of is members were Whigs, the Earl of Sandwich, who became First Lord of the Admiralty, had distinctly Tory inclinations, and John Wilkes eventually became the most notable populist radical since Wat Tyler. Given the club's Rabelaisian motto, however, it is likely that they all shared a common view of humanity's ability to govern itself without an imposed body of law.

Dashwood himself was politically an independent, believing that it was more important to vote in accord with his conscience on each issue than to follow a party line. During his long and controversial career, he sat in both houses of Parliament and served as chancellor of the Exchequer and postmaster general. He devoted much energy to public works projects and to a Poor Relief Bill, and continually advocated the formation of a national militia. This would abolish the need for a standing army and German m ercenary troops, implicitly undermining royal power.

Dashwood was drawn into the orbit of Prince Frederick, the heir apparent to George II, a Freemason who attracted many Jacobites into his train. Dashwood evidently became a confidant of "Prince Fritz," resulting in a political setback for Dashwood upon the prince's death in 1751. (28)

When "Bonnie Prince Charlie" embarked on his ill-fated attempt to invade England and regain the throne with Franco-Scottish support in 1744, the House of Commons was whipped into a patriotic frenzy. An "Address of Loyalty" to George II was made mandatory; Dashwood proposed an amendment which warned the sovereign not to infringe on the liberty of his subjects. He was branded a Jacobite for his efforts.

In 1770, Dashwood and his fellow Mason Benjamin Franklin produced a plan of reconciliation for Britain and her increasingly rebellious colonies in North America. The plan was ignored, with well-known consequences.

But of all the Medmenham fraternity, it was the "false brother" (29) John Wilkes who achieved the highest political profile. Passed over for a government appointment, Wilkes published a satirical weekly called The North Briton to vent his spleen on Prime Minister Bute. Waving the banner of "Liberty," issue number 45 of this magazine precipitated a series of popular riots that led to Wilkes's being charged with sedition in 1763. For good measure, the "Essay on Woman" was read before the scandalized House o f Lords. Wilkes's Medmenham cronies deserted him, and he was charged with salacious libel as well.

Undeterred by being convicted as a pornographer, Wilkes stood for reelection in the Commons and won, presenting himself at King's Bar Prison as soon as the results were in. A constitutional crisis followed when Parliament declared that a prisoner could not sit in its ranks and overturned the result of the election, causing more riots and political skulduggery. Wilkes was eventually elected Lord Mayor of London, leading to a series of confrontations which did much to define the relationship between the cro wn and the city government.

Although often criticized as an opportunist, Wilkes did much to establish the right to freedom of the press, forced England to reexamine its rules of suffrage, and inspired the American colonists in their demand for liberty. (30)

RELIGION

In 1773 Dashwood and Benjamin Franklin revised the Book of Common Prayer - an odd activity for a supposed Satanist. Possibly the two Freemasons were trying to bring the Anglican Church in line with Masonic Deism. In his introduction to this work, Dashwood stressed the usefulness of the church to the community and affirms the teachings of Jesus Christ in such a way that his allegiance to the Church of England is equivocal at best. Most of their changes involve removing all references to the Old Testament and eliminating repetitions wherever possible. This liturgy is still used by some Protestant sects in America. (31)

The whole question of religion is central to the fascination that Dashwood continues to exercise. One could simply accept the popular belief that he was a Satanist and leave it at that. A more sophisticated interpretation might seize upon the rumours of sexual magic, the abbey's kabbalistic book, the recurring image of Harpocrates, Dashwood's tenuous connection with the Masonic Order of the Temple, and of course the Thelemic motto on Medmenham Abbey to conclude that the Hell-Fire Club was an early manifes tation of "Crowleyanity." A more sober-minded approach would pick out Dashwood's Masonic contacts and conclude, probably correctly, that the "chapter-room" was a Masonic temple.

It may also be significant that most of Dashwood's Masonic associates were Catholic Jacobites. As a newly arrived peer, Dashwood would have been very conscious of his lack of lineage and might have been attracted to the chivalrous glamour of the Jacobite "Templar" orders. Bearing this in mind, we might pause to reconsider Dashwood's "conversion" in Rome. Wilkes mentions "mock celebrations of the more ridiculous rites ... of the Church of Rome." (32)

Is it possible that Wilkes got it all wrong? Catholics were not allowed to hold public office in England until the end of the eighteenth century. Might what Wilkes took to be a parody of the sacraments, a "Black Mass," have actually been a Roman Mass? Ever since Henry VIII had usurped Rome's spiritual authority over his subjects, Catholicism had been "demonized" in England. The Satanic monk was becoming a stock figure in the increasingly popular "Gothick Romances" of the time. To English eyes, anything " Papist" might seem Satanic. The Latin Bible, the hagiography, the defaced portrait of Henry VIII, the equivocation in the Book of Common Prayer - is it possible that Sir Francis Dashwood, the notorious Satanist, was in fact a Jacobite Freemason and secret Roman Catholic?

(5) Eighteenth-century British politics were dominated by two parties whose foundations were laid in the seventeenth century, though they did not become formal parries in the modern sense until 1784. The expressions "Whig" and "Tory" are Gaelic words for "horse thieves" and "outlaws" which were applied by partisans to members of the opposing camp. Tories were staunchly conservative, opposed to religious toleration and "foreign entanglements," and often espoused a belief in the divine right of kings. Thei r numbers included members of the Anglican hierarchy and country gentry. The Whigs were by far the larger party, composed of aristocratic landowners and wealthy bourgeoisie, who favoured a limited constitutional monarchy, overseas economic expansion, and "liberty" in the eighteenth-century sense of the term, which parallels the modern buzzword "deregulation." The Whigs were thus the "progressive" party and consequently tended to suffer from factio nalism, particularly over social as opposed to economic issu es. "Grumbletonian" Whigs were so called because of their tendency to grumble over policy decisions.

Although obviously intended as an affirmation of the fundamental goodness of human nature, Theleme's motto has often been misunderstood as a rallying cry for libertinism. By identifying himself with Rabelais' humanist ideals, Dashwood declared his philosophical roots while opening himself up to criticism for "hedonism." The ideals of the Medmenham group would be severely tested when John Wilkes sought to extend this creed for "free, well-born, well-bred" individuals to the ill-educated, impoverished working classes.

Edinburgh University's world famous artificial intelligence department has been badly hit by a fire which raged through part of the Old Town on Saturday night.

While senior staff at the school of informatics were today assessing the damage to its premises at 80 South Bridge, students and researchers were warned that the artificial intelligence library is almost certainly a total loss.

 

A university spokesman said it was an irreplaceable archive of AI literature accumulated over the 40 years of Edinburgh's leadership in the field, since its beginning in the 1960s.

More than 150 workstations, a cluster of powerful servers, and associated infrastructure have also been lost.

The fire is thought to have started in a nightclub in the Cowgate, a former slum now part of a World Heritage site and home to students and clubs, including the Edinburgh Festival venue, the Gilded Balloon.

80 South Bridge accommodates around 25% of the school of informatics, an internationally acclaimed centre for research and teaching. The building housed a volume of teaching and research equivalent to the entire computer science activity at many universities. It was used by some 300 people daily for teaching and research, and was the primary base for some 200 staff and students. It provided tutorial and laboratory space for a further 220 junior undergraduate students.

Professor Mike Fourman, head of the school of informatics, said: "Although we have lost this archival collection, and many researchers have lost their personal archives, most of our current research data is stored electronically. We have recently rolled out a state-of-the-art distributed computing environment, so we are well placed for disaster recovery."

No staff or students were hurt in the fire. The university praised the fire service for its efforts to save Adam House, a historic building which escaped with only minor water damage. Alternative venues have been found for exams and teaching and temporary offices have been set up.

As a precaution, 100 students from the adjacent student flats at College Wynd were temporarily housed at Pollock Halls for two nights.

Edinburgh is a freak zone this week. Elizabeth has taken up occupation of Holyrood Palace. so the city is going through what can only be described as a psychic-rape of its population. Also whats disturbing is that there hasnt been a single protest at the palace gates concerning Prince Andrew/Epstein. Considering that Andrew still refuses to talk to the FBI you would think there would some sort of public protest. But no, nothing. Again Edinburghers have got their priorities wrong. Instead of spending their time shopping, they should on the streets protesting.

Ahead of the visit to Scotland, he said he wanted to honour the Queen's "commitment to public service", which he said had "long inspired me and many other Canadians".

And he said he wanted to "recognise the strong family ties, history and common purpose our countries share".

Mr Trudeau previously met the Queen in Buckingham Palace shortly after his election in 2015, having done so several times as a child in the 1970s when his father Pierre was prime minister of Canada.

Mr Trudeau has Scottish ancestry, with his grandfather James Sinclair being born in Banffshire before his family emigrated to Canada in 1911.

The Queen is in Edinburgh for the royal family's traditional Holyrood Week events.

She met First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and Ken Macintosh, the presiding officer of the Scottish Parliament, during private audiences at the palace on Tuesday.

In the week that saw Canadians pull down statues of Elizabeth II in anger of all the unmarked child graves, and that all the Ghislaine Maxwell court documents are to be released concerning Prince Andrew, here we have people who are supposed to protect children in a safe environment openly handing them over to a member of the British Crown/Six Ravens Family, for what exactly?! Even worse those bastards impressed upon the children that the visitor  was to be seen as "important".  Both Lord Provost Frank Ross and Jennifer Scott (Trustee at Harmeny's) are a disgrace to the city of Edinburgh and they should not be allowed near any children after this.

Derek Curran was suspended as head of Castlebrae in 2014 after being accused of failing to immediately report allegations about another teacher’s behaviour in line with child protection procedures. He was eventually dismissed in September 2015 for gross misconduct.

The Evening News understands that a payment was made to a young woman in January 2016, two years after it was alleged Derek Curran had been involved in an inappropriate sexual relationship with her. She is believed to have given birth to Curran’s child after her 18th birthday.

The headteacher, who had been drafted in as a "super-head" to help the ailing Castlebrae school, is currently subject to a Temporary Restriction Order by the General Teaching Council for Scotland and an investigation into whether or not he should be allowed to teach again is ongoing, but was delayed by the Covid pandemic.

Mr Curran denies failing to adequately assess the seriousness of the original complaint against a fellow teacher, or to ensure an investigation was properly conducted. He also denies failing to take appropriate action in line with the council’s child protection guidelines.

In 2018, he won an unfair dismissal claim against the council after a judge found that the authority “failed to follow a fair procedure” and was awarded almost £10,000 in compensation.

Scottish Crown Office reverse decision to not extradite alleged Fettes College abuser from South Africa but victims 'livid' over delay

A number of the former pupils, now men, have been fighting with the prosecution service for months to get justice for the physical and sexual assaults they allegedly suffered at Fettes College junior school in the 1970s.

The Crown Office initially refused to extradite the former teacher from South Africa in November on the basis of there being a time-bar on certain historic abuse crimes, the age of the accused and delays to the extradition process which would be exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. The prosecution service had said it was “not in the public interest to prosecute.” This decision was upheld in January following a review.

But the men have been challenging the Crown’s refusal ever since, highlighting that a judgement was made by the Constitutional Court in South Africa during 2018 to lift the time bar and that this was enacted in law in December 2020. They say the Crown Office should have been aware of this much sooner than now.

Victims received letters - seen by this newspaper - last week from the Crown stating extradition has now been requested as it has since “come to our attention that South African law has changed” and “new evidence has come to light in the case” which means it is now in the public interest to proceed with the extradition request.

The letter said that the original decision was “taken in good faith, based on the law in South Africa at the time, as advised by the prosecution authorities in South Africa.”

Last night, one of the victims told this newspaper: “I am pleased to receive the letter but absolutely livid it’s taken eight months for them to realise their assumptions about the applicable law were wrong, and that me and the other men who have been pressing them about it have been treated abysmally.

“What is it coming to when a victim has to search online to find out that the law was in the process of being changed and then enacted in December 2020?

“I absolutely believe the initial decision would have stayed the same were it not for us, as a group of tenacious individuals, and the pressure from politicians and media, because they (Crown Office) are unaccountable. I was disgusted when I wrote to the First Minister in February and expected the FM’s office to take responsibility - but they just passed it back to the Crown Office.

“I had to give statements to the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry and have relived everything at length, and you just expect the right thing to be done and not to have to have to fight with your own justice system.

“It’s a complete u-turn from them, with no apology for their incompetence whatsoever. They have delayed the serving of justice by 246 days. I consider myself lucky that I am able to express myself well but there are lots of other people who are not.”

The man has also lodged an official complaint with the Lord Advocate criticising the Crown’s handling of the matter and how survivors of historic sexual abuse are treated. He has also questioned who in the South African prosecution authorities initially advised that the alleged abuser could not be extradited.

South African lawyers questioned Crown stance

The Crown Office sent letters to the men in November notifying victims of their initial decision to refuse extradition of their alleged abuser. The decision was later upheld in January following a request for it to be reviewed by the men who highlighted the legislation brought in to remove the time-bar.

In their response, the Crown said that although this was the case, that declaration of invalidity of the court was only made retrospective to April 27, 1994. This would mean any historic sexual offences which happened on April 26, 1994, could not be prosecuted.

However, lawyers in South Africa involved in the legislative process to remove the time-bar questioned the Crown’s interpretation of their law when they spoke to this newspaper back in April.

Gender law specialist, Sanja Bornman, said that the Prescription in Civil and Criminal Matters (Sexual Offences) Amendment Act of 2020 made “express provision for the revival of the right to institute a prosecution, of any sexual offence which may have been prescribed at any time before its commencement.”

Ms Bornman added: “This means the right to prosecute sexual offences which took place at any time before 1994 was also expressly revived.”

Bronwyn Pithey, a lawyer at the Women’s Legal Centre based in Cape Town, made formal submissions in the legal process which led to the Amendment Act in 2020.

Ms Pithey, a former prosecutor of 15 years, said the alleged offences at Fettes would be considered unlawful in South Africa but said it should be up to the Crown to prosecute given it happened in Scotland.

South African extradition lawyer Gary Eisenberg also stated during a BBC Radio Scotland show with John Beattie in December last year that sexual offences, including child molestation, are not time barred in South Africa.

Opposition party politicians in Scotland previously told the Edinburgh Evening News that the Crown had a “weak basis” for their decision and it was “imperative” for survivors of sexual crimes that all efforts are made to bring alleged perpetrators to justice.

Process will ‘take time’

This newspaper spoke to a number of victims previously about the abuse they say they experienced at Fettes and the impact of it. One said it did not really affect him until his early 20s but that it had a major impact on his life, including suffering from depression and inexplicable bursts of rage and problems with drinking.

Fettes College has said previously they want to apologise to anyone who suffered abuse at the school, and stressed they take historic abuse claims “extremely seriously” and will cooperate with the authorities in any case of alleged abuse.

The latest correspondence from the Crown to victims says a court in South Africa will now decide whether the former teacher can be extradited to Scotland.

The letter adds: “If the extradition request is successful, we hope to prosecute him for the alleged offences against you.

“The path from here is not straightforward and the process (which is not under our control) will take some time. The South African authorities are not able to give us a definitive time for the process.”

A spokesperson for the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service said: “It is the duty of the prosecutor to keep cases under review and to respond to changes in applicable law and available evidence.

“This has been a complex investigation and COPFS appreciates that it has been a difficult time for all those involved.

“Officials from COPFS have maintained contact with the complainers over the status of the case.

“In order to protect any future proceedings and to preserve the rights of the complainers, the Crown will not comment further at this stage.”

A Scottish Government spokesperson said: “We fully understand why this individual would reach out to the First Minister seeking assistance in what is clearly a distressing case. However, it is extremely important that the Crown Office always acts – and is seen to be acting – independently of the Scottish Government in prosecutorial cases.

“For that reason Scottish Ministers cannot comment on, or intervene in, decisions relating to the prosecution of individual cases. Failing to do so risks creating the perception of political interference in the judicial process, which could jeopardise prosecutions. We are sorry that was not made clearer in our original response.”

The woman also claims “corrupt, evil, satanic paedophiles are running this country” and Scots have been kept “like peasants for 800 years”.
As police appear, she shouts “notice to compel” and informs officers they are seizing the castle under article 61 of Magna Carta – “the only law in the land” – which predates the Act of Union.
The woman says she has put Police Scotland Chief Constable Iain Livingstone “on notice” about them taking the castle.
One officer asks the woman for her name, to which she says she is “not obliged” to do, before identifying herself anyway.
The police constable then asks: “How many more people are you expecting to come to Edinburgh Castle today to join your protest?”
When she tells him “it’s not a protest, we’re actually taking it back” he replies: “Right, no worries.”
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Officers are currently in attendance at Edinburgh Castle and are engaging with a group of people who have gathered within the castle grounds.”

 

 

 

Observations

 

1: Note the headline is misleading. The editor was told not to mention the paedophilia issue in the headline. So the headline totally changes the context of the action & protest.

 

2: It is interesting that it has taken so long for an actual protest to take place at Edinburgh Castle. Its long overdue.

Because of that building's proximity to Fettes College, the whole area has a heavy repulsive nasty evil feel to it. Its no more than a 5 min walk from either building. I can assure you that building isnt being bulldozed because of "finances". That building is being razed to the ground due to the heavy negativity in that building, caused by its proximity to Fettes College. If you had to work in that building then you will have aged quickly quite badly and have severe health issues. A lot of the staff at that building would have been off due to stress related causes. For any occult students in that part of Scotland i would encourage you to visit the building before it gets bulldozed. The atmosphere & energy coming from it, is worth investigation...

Andy Hilton, who managed St Mary’s Catholic Cathedral complex in York Place, Edinburgh for the last three years, reportedly suffered fatal head injuries as a result of a collision while he was mountain biking on Wednesday, August 4.

In a St Mary’s newsletter issued at the weekend, it was stated: “With deep sadness I have to communicate to you our Cathedral Complex Manager, Andy Hilton, died suddenly on Wednesday having been involved in a freak mountain biking accident.

"We do not know many details except that he was involved in a head on collision, suffered massive injuries to his head and died instantly. Andy had been working here at the Cathedral for almost three years and had become ‘one of the family’.

“He was not a Catholic – but he seemed to enjoy working here with us and he achieved an enormous amount for the Cathedral in his time here. I know that you will keep them very much in your prayers.

"I respected him and enjoyed working with him. We will all miss him. May he rest in peace.”

Mr Hilton, who is survived by a daughter, was said to be a “deeply good and decent man” who was “scrupulously honest and genuinely kind.”

Back in February Mr Hilton was busy dealing with a major mechanical breakdown in the cathedral involving the motors of the winching system to lower the chandeliers.

He appealed for people to support the expensive repair with donations and had been looking into alternative mechanical systems.

 

 

Observations

 

I would encourage any occult students to visit the area of the cathedral in Edinburgh. Get a feel for the area. what is it telling you? Also for those with psychometry skills, discreetly touch the outside wall of the cathedral to pick up trace elements of the morphic resonance field around the building. Atmosphere: Stressed, overcrowded, repulsive, satanic feel to the city. Its like something horrific has landed in Edinburgh. There is a real nastiness in the air during August. the demographic that occupies Edinburgh during august are horrible people. Imagine 10,000 Ghislaine Maxwell's in Edinburgh and you get an idea of the repulsive nature of the city during the festival.

Overcrowded: There is far too many people in Edinburgh during August. The amount of people being shoved on the roads by clusters of tourist is shocking. Central Edinburgh during August is an ordeal. Not a pleasure. there needs to be a serious limit on the amount of people (& shows) come into the city.

Where are the locals?!: another aspect to the colonial nature of the Edinburgh festivals is the lack of any locals n the city. You will struggle to hear a local Edinburgh voice. You will struggle to hear a human voice. The locals have long learnt to avoid the grotesques & repulsive's that invade Edinburgh during August (for that is what it is; an invasion). Why are the EIF & Fringe not held during the Scottish school holidays?! The festivals are quite happy to cater to the freakish & psychologically damaged boarding school kids from London & Vienna, but what about Scottish kids?!

The obscene level of British state personnel in plain clothes ; another aspect of the "occupation" during august is the obscene level of British state personnel in central Edinburgh. At times it feels like a demilitarized occupation zone. It is an incredibly intimidating and freakish atmosphere due to their practices. This is due in no small part to the out of date Edinburgh Tattoo. The Tattoo acts like a magnet that attracts a freakish demographic that you dont want to be near. This is one of Edinburgh;s dirty secrets. The Tattoo's position at Edinburgh's Festivals should have been dealt with in the aftermath of the Iraq War. That whole side of it is one of Edinburgh's many many shames.

Over-reliance of "comedy". There are just far too many events & shows at the Fringe. The Fringe is a liability to the city. The amount of Fringe events in the city contribute to the insane overcrowding. The Fringe festival need cut by about 50% & reduced to a 2 week format. It is seriously excessive, and again reflects badly on Edinburghers as to why they have never dealt with this.

Summary.

The Edinburgh Colonial August Festivals are a stressful & overcrowded human-sh*t magnet occupied by a demographic of grotesques & repulsives that you wouldnt let your children anywhere near. The overcrowding during August is a serious security & safety liability. It is due to this that i cannot recommend that either you , your friends or your children should go. It is a punitive, repressive, disturbing, freakish, repulsive, satanic atmosphere that hangs over Edinburgh during August.

Save your money. Stay away. And keep safe.

 

What's curious is that this is coming from a tourism website. So it seems that the travelling public has picked up on the disturbing nature of Edinburgh.
