As Artemis Moves Forward, NASA Picks SpaceX to Land Next Americans on Moon

Are they really going to get that great big rocket pictured above  to land on the moon and come back ?  And looks like 4 people too... I don't think so ,it's  a wild exaggeration of size  , doesn't matter the public are so dumb they will never know, or remember what was originally promised  ....

In comparison Apollo's LEM was a fraction of the size and mass , much less than  10%

yet it took the biggest rocket ever built to get the LEM there (we are told) .  Musk's rocket  is much smaller ... So it doesn't add up .... Rockets have not increased efficiency much .... This is due to happen by 2024....

Here's the latest odds from Quickbet ......

50% chance covid and other world  problems will put an end to all such projects

25% chance technical problems will postpone launch date

25% chance it will blow up somewhere along the trip ...

At least it does look the part , not like the stupid LEM .... A big rocket landing but first on the moon is what all the cartoons promised .

No its not going to come back, the first Starship will ferry Astronauts and cargo to and from the Moon and Gateway. Eventually Starships will land on the Moon or Mars with 100 passengers plus cargo and return to Earth.
Starship and Superheavy will be the biggest rocket ever made...

You claim engines have not improved in efficiency much yet the Raptor engine has more than twice the thrust of SpaceX's Merlin engine that powers their current Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles.

So the first starship will not land ? just orbit the moon , leave cargo in orbit?  If the thing refuels in Earth or Moon orbit it could be done ... But 100 passengers !! That would require many non passenger flights putting fuel in orbit first . It's all ridiculous , I suspect they're glossing over this to keep funding coming in ... Musk's  rocket is not even 10% bigger than a Saturn 5   so things still don't add up .

It's particularly ridiculous since in secret the US has had antigravity propelled craft for over 70 years .. So these rockets are just a distraction , to waste investors money , keep the public  Earth bound.

Efficiency is not about the thrust (size) of the engine , but how much fuel and oxidizer is needed to produce  thrust ...

The first operational starship will dock with the Gateway and then be like a taxi taking people to the surface and back. Im sure there will be many mission's to the Moon and back before this. Unmanned Sarships will also land before humans.

Passenger starships will retank in Earth orbit then on the Moon, thats why they chose methane as fuel.

I think your missing the point, the ship is the lander there not separate like on Apollo.

You sound suprised by all this but the Starship and Superheavy booster are being developed and tested now.

The Raptor is 15% more efficient than an F1.

Could i ask if its all about the money why did they choose the cheapest, the other contenders were half and three quarter's more expensive.

They obviously have to make a pretense of economic sense and pick the cheapest .... But also Musk is a deep insider , he can be trusted to make sure there will be delays and problems ....

So when it comes to money it's about scooping up investors into the two Cabal fronts , Musk and Branson , so no investment goes to independent start ups....

NASA money comes from Tax payers , this is for wasting also .

Would you clarify that statment for me plz. Being a member of the public myself as are my family and friends, infact everyone i know, do you consider us all dumb? Isnt that how the Illuminughty view the public? Im sure millions if not billions will know and will remember.

Well I'm afraid 99% of the public are dumb / not paying attention/ focused elsewhere....

Al Gore said 25 years ago that by 2010 the ice caps would be gone , Bangladesh and Venice would be under the waves ...All lies ...But no one remembers this , and so they can push on with carbon taxes ... Meanwhile Gore has made BILLIONS of $ in personal wealth from managing the Carbon trading Market.

He has a partner David Blood ...Their company is actually called Blood and Gore ...lol ... You couldn't make this stuff up!

Blood And Gore: Making A Killing On Anti-Carbon Investment ...

Nov 3, — Al Gore and his carbon credit huckstering partner David Blood, both principals at Generation Investment Management (GIM), warn in their ...

So I'm suggesting something similar with the big rocket  pictured in your first post ... it's an exaggeration to keep the investment coming , get people excited ...And IF they ever do get to the moon , the rocket will be much smaller , but no one will remember , that 5 years earlier, we were told it would be much bigger .
