act22528 Posted March 24, 2021 Share Posted March 24, 2021 (edited) I have received a call today out of nowhere and the caller said he is from Chinese embassy. He asked me if I knew a name and I said its my mother's name. Then he told me to go to the embassy to clarify something urgently as the custom in shanghai has send a document to them. I was completely lost and questioned why. Then he told me its because I knew another person. In fact I have no idea who this person is and I guess maybe someone being on the black list of the Chinese government. He threatened me to remove my visa in EU if I refused to comply. I have EU citizenship and found it very strange and many suspicious points. I would like to research further and also to know if any legal means I can take as I feel harassed by this unreasonable And strange demand from the Chinese embassy, if the call was genuine. Truthspoon Posted March 24, 2021 Share Posted March 24, 2021 (edited) It's a scam. I don't know where you live but my parents are always getting these scam calls from abroad. All they had was a phone number and a name.... and you gave them more info. Tell them they will burn in hell next time they call you.
