COVID Risk calculator (Oxford Uni)

This is fun:

https://www.qcovid.org/Calculation

So apparently my risk of dying from COVID is 1 in 35,000 (if I even catch it) and they didn't even ask about my high quality diet, fitness training and not being deficient in vitamins.

While the risk of dying in a road accident in any year in the UK approaches 1 in 20,000, the lifetime risk is 1 in 240.

Must stop driving and put the car in the garage for the next 3 years.

Absolute risk (a) Absolute risk with no risk factors (b) Relative risk (a/b)
COVID associated death 0.0052% 1 in 19231 0.0029% 1 in 34483 1.7931
COVID associated hospital admission 0.0809% 1 in 1236 0.0408% 1 in 2451 1.9828

Thats what I get. So basically there is more chance of me matching 4 balls on the National Lottery than dying from Covid!

Prize Category Odds of Winning Prize Value
Match 6 1 in 45,057,474 Jackpot
Match 5 + Bonus Ball 1 in 7,509,579 £1 million
Match 5 1 in 144,415 £1,750
Match 4 1 in 2,180 £140
Match 3 1 in 97 £30
Match 2 1 in 10.3 Free Lotto Lucky Dip

And if you want to go for 5 matching balls and are cat (with 9 lives) you can easily win both the £1750 and live to spend it.
