F*** Big Moan.   My f*** neighbour has taken to working opposite on the floor above right next to the window so he looks right down into our lounge and everybody else's like a dirty peeping Tom, he even put up some back gauze so you can't see him properly but he's there. 

So I ordered a roller blind online ... f***k I read the measuring instructions about 50 times, measured it 100 times double checked it checked it with someone ... and it arrived today and is 4cm too narrow.   For f************* Sake.   I am so f**** angry.

That's £60

I did everything, I checked everything so many f***** times.

For gods sake.

And I know tomorrow they're gonna say, f u, this is how we make them ... go get your lawyer you not getting your money back.

I hate every single person on this planet.

I hate this place, all people do is f.u. up.

That's all they do.  It's all lies, and shitness, and screwing everything up.

Messing everything.

Concreting on everything.

Destroying everything.

There was a great documentary made in 2001 called 'the corporation' and it looked at the origin of the legal entity that we know as a corporation and it talked about how it evolved and was given legal personhood which gave it the same legal status as a human. They looked at how there is no check and balance within the model of a corporation to take into account what they called the 'externalities' which is to say all the knock-on effects that the actions of the corporation has whilst it seeks to improve its bottom line. So for example it will always put profit above the welfare of its workers or the health of the environment. They discussed how a corporation will pump toxic waste into a river and then incur a corporate fine from the government regulators rather than pay to dispose of the waste responsibly if the fine is less than it costs to deal with the waste properly. The fine will simply be seen as operational costs. We see this again and again with big pharma who get fined for harmful drugs or practices but only after they have made much much more than the fine in profits.

 

The makers of the documentary interviewed an FBI criminal profiler and asked them to profile the model of a corporation as if they were a criminal and the profiler concluded that the corporation is PSYCHOPATHIC because it has no mechanism through which it can make moral decisions pursuing as it does a profit above all else including ethics.

 

So those sharp practices that are getting you angry are all part of the corporate business model. Now you can sit in impotent rage or you can do something about it which is to say start boycotting corporations as much as you can and choosing instead to give your business to alternatives because the more business you give to the corporations the more power you give them as they are able to expand, swallow up market share and lobby corrupt politicians.

 

The corporations are really just a front for the people who own them and provide them with a legal vehicle through which they can rape the earth and its inhabitants. They have become so powerful that they have crushed the spirits of many people but that anger you are feeling can be the catalyst for change. It can be the motivating force that drives you on to make changes in your life so that your life becomes a living protest against the corporations and their effect on the world and on their cheapening of life

@Macnamara   Yeah I saw the documentary it's very good, although I believe the corporate personhood laws are about 100 years old and were granted in the US to some utility companies for completely different reasons for which they are used.  I will either make a claim under the distance selling 2015 laws, or do a bad review on youtube.  The blind is just useable as it is in any case.

 

@peter   This world is not what you make of it.   That's no longer adequate.   Unless you can take this world seriously and honestly there is little point living.   And the fact is its very ugly and humans are such that they create so much hell for each other.

My neighbour downstairs who is a "phone person" him and the wife, they renovated the flat and installed 3 x 30kg internal doors because they like the sound of it thumping shut, so they feel secure.  Now every time they walk in and out of the house it's like 3 gun shots richocheing through the building.   Such living dead.  They had a baby, cries a lot.  Not the only one.

And such things just normal today.

Hence Jesus's many statements.   "You know neither the day nor the hour".   "You live in poverty and you are the poverty itself".

But nobody cares.  The living dead do not live, they are damaged broken machines who live through destruction.

Such an evil world.  Fallen world.

If you want to make something of it good ... start by being honest.

Maybe god gave you shit neighbors as a test, which appears to be getting the better of you.  What's that old saying ,god give me to courage to change the things I can and ignore the things I can't . I know it's incorrect but close enough.

I do agree people should not give their hard earned dollars to scum bag organizations and if they didn't those organizations would have to change.  Unfortunately people have sold their souls and identity for convenience so more fool them, in my book their idiots but I don't think about it or get the shit's about it ,there's no point so I don't bother.

My only suggestion would be if you don't like where you live move ,I know this is not easy when I moved interstate it took 8 months of organizing everything before I left. It won't happen overnight but if you formulate a plan and work towards it eventually it will happen and if you like where you live that will go along way to establishing some peace of mind

hahaha I have read your posts here and have laughed so much because I feel like this too. It is so raw and real that it is sad but bordering on hysterically funny in some ways. Don't be offended that I find it funny because I can relate 100%.

 

I have noticed that my street is quiet with no-one on it...until I decide to back out of my driveway...and sure enough there is someone who is about to get ploughed, show up almost like magic right behind me.

 

Then when in UK, I had to rely on a relative to wash my clothes in their downstairs laundry. I say, no need to dry them please as I dont like my clothes in the dryer for more than a few mins at best. Safe to say my clothes come back crisp :-?

 

Then another family member deleted me from Instagram....reason? I don't click 'like' on pics.

 

Then theres a time when someone keeps you talking ...they in UK and me in Canada. They are five hours ahead. Then I get blamed because they were talking ( I was online wondering how long I had to be polite ;-) ) and it was late there.!!! 

 

Then I got deleted on FB by someone who didnt like my posts hahaha. Meanwhile their posts are pic after pic of homemade jewellery which I had silently scrolled past for months.

 

Then you go into a mechanic to get car looked at... he proceeds to tell me all that  might go wrong in the next 6 months. I ask him if there is anything positive he can say about my car that may cause me not to take it to the scrapper. He says " oh no, its fine, it's not in bad condition at all"  ( Total waste of half hour) 

 

Then you go to the bank to make a deposit into someones account... they ask for ID. I say I dont want to withdraw from it I want to deposit into it. Big fuss. I ask for manager to explain any possible logic for ID. Manager says...." oh it's ok we'll waive that requirement this time"  ( So much for logic and another waste of my time.)

 

The list is endless.

 

Why the fack is everything so difficult and frustrating ....?  I think this is partly why I believe in frequencies and beings from gad knows where. because something doesn't make things easy for me, thats for sure..... So I will join your rant... haha

 Sorry, but I couldn't help but laugh at your venting, as I know exactly how it feels. The word has not been in vented that can describe this madness. Sometimes its comforting to know that others go off the deep end (like myself...) when faced with blatant idiocy and the overwhelming NOISE they make as they disrespect everyone around them.  I've often thought that we are the walking dead and they are the living dead. Seriously, you can either put up with this, or you can do something about it.

 

A few years ago, I was getting fed up with the flat I'd been living in for about eight years. It was a first floor flat in a big house that had been converted. I had noisy neighbours downstairs arguing, fighting and shagging all the time. There were two lads living above me, who must have been running some illicit laundry business, as they seemed to be using their washing machine all hours which vibrated heavily through the ceiling. The one next door neighbour had dogs who howled and barked through the night. The flat had no central heating so was cold during the winter. I reached a point where I hated the place.

 

I suppose I was lucky at the time, as I came into some money that my Nan gave me, couple of thousand pounds. So I decided to look for somewhere else, and found a lovely ground-floor maisonette with a south-facing private garden on a quiet little cul-de-sac alongside a canal. It was bliss! Nice neighbours, really quiet at night, so peaceful. The only reason I ended up leaving there was because the landlord sold the house for personal reasons, but he was really good about it.

What did Buddha see ... he came back to the palace after seeing the misery and death out there in the real world ... the family put  on a banquet, dancing girls from local villages ... what did Buddha see?  He wasn't hungry any more.  Looking around at the smiling teeth the gorging on food and drink and laughter.  When the fires had died, late under the Indian stars ... he walked out around the grounds, alone .. there in a pile were the dancing girls no outfits no kohl the eyes, just dogs lying in the dust after the lying had stopped after the deceiving had stopped.  What did Buddha see?

I started studying Buddhism about 15 years ago, reached the first stage of 'awakening' about 5 years ago, so it's all good ... or rather it's all as good as it gets.  And it continues.

It's not easy to get peace here to even do meditation ... but there are retreats around (try the IMC chippenham) that are good value and quiet.
