Hi everyone, I had downloaded "Event 201" (the one over 2 hrs long) I put that video in a specific folder, so that I know where it is. I have played it several times over the last few months. I then got a windows 10 update a few days ago and the video as now gone from my folder. I know in the past that my music videos that I have downloaded, played great. Then I get an update and the the music videos that I played in the past will not play and require a codex from (Microsoft)...FLV sorted that one out. I'm just wondering has anyone else had anysort of issue like this. Thank you, peace and love uksoul2soul.

Buy a 120GB USB stick install a free linux O.S on it.

Plug it into your computer

When you boot the computer hold down ESC key to to enter the BIOS

Select boot from USB _ drive letter(this contains your linux image)  or choose to boot into win10

Best way

Thank you for the info you provided HS, very helpful. I will be buying a few needed flash drives this weekend and I'm currently looking for a windows 7 laptop. Never had a problem with 7.  I only bought windows 10 as it supported Miracast, so I was able to wirelessly stream/project from the laptop to the TV. It's these long forced updates and as soon as it's updated it's done it's corruption. I will try the above after backing up my files. Thanks again HS.

If i was you, i would buy yourself a nas.

I agree with others, on questions about windows 10, and what they may be able to do with it.

Microsoft essentially gave away windows 10 for free, and these people do not do that for no reason.

Hi History, I agree windows 10 is a disaster. I do think the updates are more about searching the PC and then reporting back the info. They goes your privacy. Then the next forced update then corrupts certain files or removes them. I never had probs with window 7, everything worked fine because I never updated. My dad in his 80s will only use windows 7. His laptop died 2 weeks before xmas and I said I will sort one out. First thing he said not windows 10.  All my best to you history.
