Is Neuroplasticity The Reason Why Most People Dismiss Even Highly Plausible Conspiracies?

Neuroplasticity is the human brain being able to form new neural connections and neural structures and mapping when it encounters something new.

The downside of this process is that anything your brain is exposed to repeatedly and for long periods of time can form strong new neural wiring.

If you were exposed to 1 hour of complete Bullshit News every day for 3 years, that Bullshit News would get wired into your brain structure and your brain mapping.

If you are told this news is true, this news is true during viewing, your brain mapping will eventually look like THIS BULLSHIT NEWS IS TRUE, SO ANYTHING THAT RUNS COUNTER TO IT MUST BE UNTRUE OR BASELESS.

I think that THIS IS THE REASON why THE AVERAGE PERSON DISMISSES EVEN CONSPIRACIES THAT ARE VERY WELL DOCUMENTED. (SOME ARE BULLSHIT OF COURSE...)

It is literally 10 MINUTES OF EXPOSURE TO AN ALTERNATE AND UNFAMILIAR CONSPIRACY THEORY versus 900 HOURS OF 'MAINSTREAM TRUTH' THAT HAS ALREADY CREATED STRONG MAPPINGS AND NEURAL STRUCTURES.

In the AVERAGE BRAIN the 900 HOURS OF EXISTING NEURO-WIRING WINS.

THE BRAIN DECIDES '900 HOURS OF A MUST BE MORE TRUE THAN 10 MINUTES OF Z'.

I am currently considering that it is to do with this quoted below, which I read on another forum:

If true it is interesting?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There’s actually a magnificent book by Iain Mcgilchrist called ‘The Master and his Emissary,’ which outlines dozens of fascinating neuroscience studies demonstrating how different areas of the brain can shape and distort a persons personality.
One such study is called ‘the porcupine and the monkey syllogism test.’ This is where subjects had various parts of the brain temporarily inhibited via electroconvulsive therapy, after which they’d be shown a syllogism and had to decide if the statement on the third line was true or false based on the logic and reasoning of the two statements that come before it.
An example of the syllogism used is:
All monkeys climb trees.
The porcupine is a monkey.
Therefore porcupines climb trees.
In their normal state, without any electroconvulsive therapy, the subjects were rational and reasonable in their logic, saying things like “A porcupine is not a monkey, so it isn’t true." Once the right hemisphere is taken offline however and the subjects process the statements exclusively through the logic of the left hemisphere, their answers became much more illogical, declaring that the statement was in fact true with the conversations taking an interesting twist, they said things like:
- “Yes, it’s true.”
 - “But you know the porcupine isn’t a monkey, don’t you?”
 - “Yes, I know, but it’s still true.”
 - “Why?”
 - “Because it’s written here on this piece of paper.”
It happened time and time again, with different subjects and different syllogisms. They asserted it’s true because “it’s there on the paper.”
This study sums up how truth works according to the left hemisphere of the brain. The left frontal lobe finds truth in symbolic representations of reality rather than in reality itself.
It can be difficult to have a reasonable and logical conversation with these people because they’ll always place more value in the false authority of abstract words written on a piece of paper than they do in basic, everyday common sense.
So what tech would be required to 'switch off' the creative part of a being?
If you have ever seen what illegal drugs do to a person, you can appreciate how the brain can be shaped in different ways.
These are the sorts of questions gov want to know to control the masses at all costs.
The reason why they want cannibis legalised must be in there somewhere, lol
Yes this happens when you learn to Juggle, the brain creates new connections.
It happens with anything from learning how to balance on a bike to learning how to use the User Interface of a new piece of software.
But this is YOU LEARNING BASED ON SOMETHING CONCRETE THAT IS RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE.
What is on TELEVISION IS SOMEBODY ELSE DIRECTING NEURAL INPUTS AT YOUR BRAIN.
I blame TELEVISION for that.
A MEDIUM where TRUSTWORTHY SOUNDING people TELL YOU WHAT IS RATIONAL AND WHAT ISN'T.
You are right we live on an evil planet and each baby born is instantly traumatised by the terrifying lies and brainwashing.
Anyway follow Buddha and get the fuck out.
After I took LSD a few years ago, I became open to many new ideas and many new authors and their writings. I also became far more tolerant in general.
Also I considered changing jobs and country.
LSD reduces serotonin in the brain and "resets" many routines and habits of a persons life.
Not all situations require tolerance. Sometimes it pays to be shrewd
For example if someone is coming to do me harm and i am 'tolerant' towards them that amounts to nothing more than naivety
Are we not naive for believing there is a killer virus killing everyone and we need to shut down society to stop it and wear face nappies?
That's how they turn the lies into a perception: repetition, repetition, repetition
You can even show new evidence and even sway them but they can be pulled back into the frequency of the lie through constant entrainment by the media, education establishment, social media and peer pressure
Community Agreement
Postmodernism differs from radical subjectivism (truth is centered only in what an individual experiences) by allowing that there might be "community agreement" for some truth claims. The idea is that two or more people may be able to agree on a particular truth claim and form a shared agreement that a given proposition is true
the individualthinks it must be true because the Community(e,g the press releases a nationwide poll) tells them its true
Sorry, but couldn’t this also work the other way around?
That being exposed to baseless conspiracy theories 24/7 would increase your propensity to believe them without evidence?
Most people who turn to 'Alternative Narratives' have experienced unfairness, mobbing, foul play or something else in REAL LIFE that CAUSED THEM TO LOSE FAITH IN MAINSTREAM MEDIA NARRATIVES.
In other words, most people are not INFLUENCED BY RANDOM CONSPIRACY CONTENT. They already KNOW SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD and are LOOKING FOR ANSWERS and EXPLANATIONS.
In the 21th Centure CONSPIRACY THEORIES AND ALTERNATIVE MEDIA TRY HARDEST TO PROVIDE ACTUAL ANSWERS.
MSM HAS FAILED TO DO THIS.
I totally agree with you.
The vast majority of people who look towards conspiracy theories is because they have witnessed unfairness or inconsistencies within the mainstream media.
I can remember when I first started researching into conspiracy theories. It was my realisation that politicians never cared about us I always heard people saying how ''they're all the same'' but I wanted a deeper understanding to all this talk.
Which is why they want 'Conspiracy Theories' to 'Go Away'.
