Why, For Centuries, Have Various People Had To FIGHT For Basic Rights?

It doesn't matter what 'Rights Struggle' in history you look at, or where in the world it happened.

 

POWER never, ever says 'You know what? You DO have this God-given right!'

 

POWER always tries to BLOCK the rights struggle, no matter how normal and logical the right being demanded is.

 

Why is this? Its almost like POWER is a GENETICALLY DIFFERENT SPECIES OF MAN which HATES ITS FELLOW MAN'S GUTS.

 

Are we looking at a GENETICALLY ABNORMAL BLOODLINE?

It has always been that way. Everyone likes to have power, wealth and being able to get what they want and be rid of what they dont like.

Its very difficult to not abuse power. If you dont have very strong virtues already accumulated its not a good idea to be in a power position.

These are the facts of life

Some people are born with strong virtues they are even smiling minutes after their birth. Happy people, good natured they would easily give up their lives to save others

Some people are born evil. They are a problem to others even minutes after they born. Crying, biting, scratching, killing insects kicking dogs. They are bullies and theives at a young age. There must be tens of millions of such people in the world now. They have never cared for their fellow man. Truly selfish and hateful. They cant help it, they born that way.

Sooner or later they find out they can get anything they want if they can get to a position of power. And thats what they do...climb and trample over others that get in the way of that power position and once there they crush any opposition.

Chances of tyrranical rule are high.

Of course there are many wise  and benevolent well intentioned sincere statesmen around....but they very rarely get a high position.

You see it in buisnesses everywhere...some bosses are kind, cosiderate, others are cruel, unpleasant pay you the least etc

We're screwed because power doesn't appeal to good people in my opinion, which means the crooked can run rampant. I don't think power is necessarily bad as you can obviously use your power/influence for good, but positions of power do often attract the greedy and deceitful.

 

Those that are in power don't seem to share the same moral compass as us regular folks, that's for sure.

I'd like to believe given Wealth and or influence I would change things for the better.

 

However the old adage that absolute power corrupts absolutely, I know this for myself to be true after a small bit of power I was given at School corrupted me to cheat for my own benefit, my ego. I hope now 22 years on I wouldn't be so corrupted by any power, I've never sought after it since even though I was given this position because of my trustworthy nature, which proved not to be as strong as believed.

 

One thing that cemented my awakening at the age of 19 was that we have to pay from water, the key to our survival.

 

I haven't paid in years to be fair, I'm on a shared supply of with the neighbours so knowing that I refuse to pay ( my small victory in this battle that is life)

 

If I ever fall into a bit of power again I strive to use it for good and not be corrupted by it. Thougg it is not something I want or will look for
