'Flat Earth' is a very contentious and divisive topic and from my experiences discussion of it is very polarised and just results in the worst kinds of trolling, baiting, bickering and arguing. That's the reason those threads here ended up being locked. While I would prefer such discussions were kept elsewhere, if someone wants to start a new discussion topic and be prepared for an honest and robust debate, I would have no objections in principle, but in truth I already know how such a topic would develop and pan out, with the same arguments repeated over and over again. I didn't wan to break any rules were I to post something, on second thoughts it's probably not worth the outcome. It wastes lots of valuable time and energy dealing with the fallout on the thread and in the reports that come in.. Time much better spent on the rest of the forum.
