Looking for info on Heart

In one of the videos I listened to recently David was talking about how the heart is more than just something that pumps blood.  He was even insinuating that it didn't actually even do that and mentioned a book on the subject... Does anyone know what this book was or any specific talks may be on this subject?  Thanks.

Dunno if related and intentional programming but, Captain Planet a childrens cartoon series from the 90s had a character who's power was heart, alongside others which had elemental powers like earth, wind and fire. So it sort of looks like 'heart' is supposed to be the force that brings the elements together to form captain planet, who saves the earth from pollution. Captain planet cartoon is definitely looking like some sort of cabal programming of youth to aid future control plans 

Whilst that could be good, focusing on 'heart'. It's not if the kingdom of heaven is inside us, in that sense focusing on 'heart' is a subversion, ha or more an 'inversion' .. ;)

It depends what you are interested in.

 

The heart as the electromagnetic centre of our being - then as suggested, things from the heart math institute would be a good starting point.

 

From a more spiritual perspective, the heart is often mentioned in ancient texts as being the gate to the source of our being.

I tell my children to think with their heart. They laugh and say how can you do that. I reply.... one day you will learn how.

if you haven’t tried it, try it.....think with your heart. It’s amazing. For example, if someone makes you angry, and you have those angry thoughts in your head, ignore them and switch your thinking to your heart and you will be calmer and more understanding of the situation. You will react in a peaceful, understanding way rather than with anger. It truly is amazing once you know how, it really, really is. As for the book, sorry cannot help but would also be interested.

On the centreline of your body about at the level of the nipples is an area that is the "Anahatta Chakra".  This is the location where higher feelings originate from.  If you breathe into this area gently for a while whilst focussing on it and trying to feel yourself inside it then you can feel feelings strongly, and if you are sensitive you can feel that your feelings actually originate from this area.
In the same way thoughts originate from the front of the head (forehead) area.
Normally humans in this era do not seem to notice the locations of these things.
Anyway many spiritual practices involve opening and awakening this spiritual heart.

The heart muscle is an organ that is slightly to the left of the spiritual heart and afaik is just an organ, I don't know the connection between it and the spiritual heart - perhaps there is a connection.

 

As for what DI said about pumping blood I have no idea.

I completely understand this as I have been doing this for years.

 

It feels like pure love. As odd as this sounds, I use it as a way to communicate with my cats! Yup!! 

I have felt their purrs straight away when I direct the feeling to them.

 

It poured out of me when my daughter was born.

 

It's funny, it even extends down my arms and to my hands like static energy.

 

So strange..I never could understand what this was, but you've explained it perfectly.

I was gonna suggest this Hearth Math Institute too.... Haven't gone there of late. I use *mindjournal.com* for helping me on spiritual and/or emotional and/or mindful insights.

 

The Heart has neurons that communicate with the.brain, afaik. But I am IN SOME MATTERS under developed in area of heart region knowledge and I suppose I know not much more to put into words anyway. Would be nice to find out more though..

 

 

If anyone wishes my opinion and intuitive guess, I try to elucidate below but without any academial degree.. it goes something like thus:

From pretty much anyones POV, (in moral people at least) we are intuitively connected with our hearts of course if we desire to allow good willed nuanced functioning of the heart into our lives of course. ...

About this though, when everyone is seemingly wired differently, it is therefore not my forte to put into words but it does interest me some and so I will try some...

 

Sooo, I wonder does neurological "logic" (or fathoming using feelings or gut feelings) from the heart merit new wonders in sustaining us in these assumed nuanced ways (like which I propose?) regardless of our state of mind for example, and another query would be for me, is}}  Is the heart a sort of guarantor proxy, or a transmutor in essense with the purpose of reminding the brain *to feel* as well as think!?!? (yeah I kinda think so!) but when is it most active in this way, like all the time? , Like, do we mostly subconsciously elicit the heart in tune with emotions automatically necessarily, well it takes 2 (most vital) organs to tango and communicate so intimately anyhow, but can include as influence to feelings brought about, so some of that depends on cerebal logic having influence about how receptive or how well the heart is in response to our attitude or survival state, our inquisitive imagination state or love/hate state or whatever canny...  Well anyway, certainly the heart aids in calming the nervous system when realized by the brain to either mercifully act in kind with the holistic body, or be it the brain is reminded it needs to chill AND JUST FEEL sometimes ... Or rather, moreover in general the heart~ the organ, and whatever else it does all goes to stabilize rythym AND emotion, yet therein I'm sure is more at work than just a pump...

 Yeah I get ya, the footnote bit, but ya know sometimes the head becomes a such a flaming liberty and/or with a multitude of a harbinger of woes on our consciousness and therefore general wellness, that is why the familiar yet not practised enough "look within your heart" saying, can gladly occasionally take some heat or the onus away from always letting mind dominate (bah!) So, SOMETIMES, *off* the brain and release literal/ lateral logic and whatever for a while.
