If you are a citizen of Poland, you can now file a complaint against Yewtube/Fuckbook/Twatter and so on if they REMOVE/DELETE something you have posted.

The Internet platforms can be fined up to 1.8 Million Euros for "shutting internet users up" if the posted content didn't "break Polish law":

Under its provisions, social media services will not be allowed to remove content or block accounts if the content on them does not break Polish law. In the event of removal or blockage, a complaint can be sent to the platform, which will have 24 hours to consider it. Within 48 hours of the decision, the user will be able to file a petition to the court for the return of access. The court will consider complaints within seven days of receipt and the entire process is to be electronic.

"Often, the victims of tendencies for ideological censorship are also representatives of various groups operating in Poland, whose content is removed or blocked, just because they express views and refer to values that are unacceptable from the point of view of communities... with an ever-stronger influence on the functioning of social media," Mr Ziobro said.

It pleases me that Poland has some balls. I suppose after going from a Proud Noble people for centuries, then partitioned thrice by your neighbours, erased from the map for 100+ years, then attempted to be ethnically exterminated, then locked under martial law for 50ish and oppressive communism for 60ish years, then coerced under dominion of the EU with two big, powerful neighbours on either side of you and STILL be a Proud Noble People - you would need to have some big balls, wouldn't ya.

It is telling that little Poland can pass this wonderful law, and none of the "GREAT WESTERN DEMOCRACIES" with their Trillion Dollar economies are even TALKING about doing something similar.
