UK Revolution - 50,000 needed to march. Join the telegram group

Hello everyone

I just wanted t take the time to advertise a telegram group that is looking to be very active in the months ahead in resistance to the tyranny that we see rapidly approaching. A tyranny that David has been warning us about for many years. I believe the time for action is at hand. I have been to a few of the anti lockdown marches over the proceeding months and have come to realise the importance of numbers if we are to effectively resist. Our rights are not going to be given back to us without a fight. It is a time to come together and stand shoulder to shoulder with your kin.

I respectfully ask that you might take the time to join our group on telegram and that you share this link too

Thank you for your time and consideration

Regards

Daniel

Thanks.

I've not used Telegram.

Can you explain how it works, especially in a 'group situation' like this ?

Hi BC

Thanks for your response. So Telegram is a platform not unlike whattsapp, but without the intrusion of Zuckerberg and the like. Its an app that you download and you have to be invited to join the groups. It acts as an information exchange and has become my go to place for news and info. The purpose of this particular group is to get the numbers for an effective march in London in the coming months. Although I am only a participant in the group, the admins there would probably be able to give you a better rundown of the benefits of Telegram as a platform, but my understanding it is very secure.

Getting people together and organised for large protests is a good idea.

If you need to be invited how does that work ?

Do you need to know someone's phone number?

How would the group know you want to join ?

I use WhatsApp despite the obvious use by TPTB but only for casual interaction with friends. On WhatsApp you need someone's number on your phone to connect.

I'm interested in the mechanics of joining.

Thanks :0)

As I wrote - getting large protests organised is a good thing that is very much needed.

I just had a look at the link.

The group main page says Telegram needed. The download is available in the Google Apps store.

I downloaded it to look.

The first request when opening the app is to confirm your / my phone number as I suspected.

I'm a little suspicious of a free App from the Google store that you can use to  connect with random strangers.

I'm a bit of a Luddite though.

Maybe some members here who are more Tech savvy / aware can help expand on whether this is safe and secure or not..?

Thanks for the recommendation.

Telegram seems to be the best way to go now considering the Big Brother changes in the T&Cs with the popular WhatsApp..

I've got it now and have found that a lot of my friends are already using it.

What changes have they made to WhatsApp I should be worried about?

thank you

Remember....we are now 'outside Europe' now..

https://www.slashgear.com/whatsapp-changes-terms-of-service-things-to-know-and-better-alternatives-10654305/

"When Facebook acquired WhatsApp for $19 billion, they vowed user privacy protection, and that no changes would be made to it.
The messaging app’s data was however shared by default with Facebook for better ad targeting – but the users could opt-out any time without any strings attached.
Now, the tables have turned (outside of Europe at least) as the opt-out option is going to be completely removed by February 8. Decline the new policies and you’ll no longer be able to use WhatsApp at all."

Your contacts list and other data will be harvested, shared and used..

Is it possible to organise a simultaneous march in edinburgh or glasgow?

I would hope that there would be multiple locations across the UK getting organised.

@Daniel East London

Is this so ?

Is there anything like this being done in the US?

I am unable to get a passport for at least a couple years, let alone by February. Granted, I could probably find illicit transportation, but also wouldn't be able to raise the funds so quickly.

I think I should focus on targets closer to home.

US-based nonprofit sues Apple to REMOVE Telegram over failure to censor ‘hate speech,’ cites Parler crackdown as example

The Coalition for a Safer Web, a nonprofit founded by an ex-US ambassador, has sued Apple, demanding it deletes Telegram from its store, arguing that the app is being used to “incite extreme violence” ahead of the inauguration.

The Washington-based nonprofit and its president Marc Ginsberg, who served as US ambassador to Morocco from 1994 to 1998 and was deputy senior adviser to the US president on Middle East Policy (1978–1981), argue in the newly filed federal lawsuit that Apple has failed to hold Telegram accountable for violating its terms of service.

The complaint, filed on Sunday with the US District Court for Northern California, accuses Telegram of allowing anti-Semites, white supremacists and other extremists to thrive on its platform, with Apple purportedly turning a blind eye to the fact.

There was.

Whether it is still active or not is another question.

I will have a look tomorrow.
