Is Bill Gates a sociopath or just a very successful nerd?

David Icke and many in the field of conspiracy research seem to think that Bill Gates is a sociopath. Indeed, Icke has said that Bill Gates "belongs in jail for crimes against humanity."

 

I must admit I haven't researched much about Bill Gates, his life or his "agenda".  I only know that he is one of the world's richest people, and that conspiracy researchers/theorists don't like him because he has a plan to "vaccinate the world's population" and that these vaccines will allegedly contain microchips "to control people".

 

From what I've seen of Bill Gates in videos etc (and I admit what I've seen isn't extensive), he comes across as the archetypal nerd. People known as nerds or geeks are often on or near the high-functioning end of the autistic spectrum. Narcissism, obsessiveness and an impaired sense of empathy are features of this, as is an "over-emphasis" on logic. HOWEVER, this does not mean that people on (or near - the cut-off point is somewhat arbitrary) the autistic spectrum have narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) or that they have zero empathy. Empathy is impaired but not absent, and people can be narcissistic without it being extreme enough to warrant a diagnosis of NPD.

 

My basic point is this: Whether we agree with Bill Gates or not, and even if his plans would be disastrous for humanity if carried out, by calling him a sociopath and saying he should be in jail for "crimes against humanity", are we demonising a well-meaning nerd?

Well whether autism is a "mental disorder" or not is somewhat subjective. The point is that people who are high-functioning autistic (or close to being so) are often intellectually advanced but lacking in social intuition and common sense. I consider myself to be a geek by the way, so it's not like I see it as a criticism.

Jesus you don't half jump to conclusions! First you say I adore Bill Gates and now you imply that I'm saying intelligence is a sign of mental illness, when I didn't say either of those things. Intelligent people may or may not be mentally ill, just as non-intelligent people may or may not be mentally ill. Does the word "nuance" mean anything to you?

Well this is the David Icke Forum, and David Icke has clearly stated that he thinks Bill Gates is a sociopath and should be in jail for crimes against humanity. No ambiguity there. And as I clearly stated, I haven't researched Bill Gates extensively. No need for you to go on the attack. We're just discussing. This isn't a battle.

Then first, research him extensively before going into any discussion. Read his life, where he is coming from, what he has done so far etc.

It does not make sense to gather information here first and then go out and try to research. DO you own research, always.

Coming to this forum and asking questions like this is why this forum is here., partly. 

We're all bringing stuff in for others to see. 

People just beginning to look into such stuff often don't know where to start. 

 

The Gates Foundation was responsible for the crimes in India and Africa. 

As the head of the Gates Foundation who else is ultimately responsible? 

People were tricked into having experimental vaccines and not being told all the information to give informed consent. 

Some straight forward searches for India / Africa / children / vaccines / killed / paralysed / maimed should get you results. 

Don't expect them on the first page..

In reference to Basket Case's post, for Bill Gates to go to jail it would still have to be shown beyond reasonable doubt that he knowingly or recklessly killed, maimed and crippled thousands of Indian and African children. But if we're talking about balance of probabilities in a civil case it's a different matter.
