Elites are obsessed with cleanliness, dust. disease and genetics as much as maintaining bloodline inheritance,  The idea of viruses crossing from one species to another appals them as much as having to dilute their bloodlines with that of commoners.  The idea that a commoner might pass on a virus to them terrifies them into going down an irrational path of not understanding why life is at is as it is nor realising the importance of viruses in the greater scheme of things. Consequently they are terribly inbred and drop like flies when a "real" pandemic comes along.

Continually vaccinating the human species guarantees the latter of course.

Oh .... I thought it said "worshipping of cats" ..

What's that old saying, dogs have owners, cats have servants. Here, you can't adopt an animal from a shelter unless it is first chipped. Personally, I have no issue with that. If our cat was ever lost, she could be identified if found and many a lost pet has been reunited because of this. As for chipping humans, there will always been a section of the populace on board with this idea, dumb as it is. But until they enforce such a law, smartphones will fill the gap.
