Woke madness

Recommended Posts

Andre, Talk radio; Police used to go to the pub after a murder case, wind down, decode, at first it would be sombre, then after a few pints, jokes, macabre sence of humour, but you can't make jokes about a murder 'cause the snowflakes wouldn't like it ...

Ian Holloway on Farage show; " I am not diplomatic. I like people to know where they stand with me. Some people can't do that. Stand up for people. My dad taught me that. "

Love to see Ian Holloway 😊

( We so rarely hear about what mums and dads teach / pass on, because of the sick people who pull the strings. )

That's brilliant, very clever idea and really funny. How interesting that were still able to laugh about our plight 😆 Says a lot about the human spirit. I wonder who created it? The board i mean, not the spirit. 🤪

Don't use the word 'MUMMY'... it's offensive to ancient Egyptians: British Museum bans age-old expression out of 'respect' for 3,000-year-old dead

66815799-0-image-a-9_1674308421251.jpg

Woke museum chiefs say the term is dehumanising to those who died and - of course - an unwelcome throwback to Britain's colonial past. The phrase now deemed acceptable is 'mummified person'.

Typical self-flagellating liberals. We didn't create the name 'mummy', it was Arabic, but do Arabs get blamed? And how is 'mummified person' any more respectful anyway?

The press treat British people like absolute mugs. The problem is that the British seem okay with being abused because they often don't want to cause a scene, or they're just not even aware that they're being abused to begin with. I hate it when other Europeans call us stupid Britbongs, or the eternal backstabbing Anglo, but it's not totally wrong. We have a history of siding with people that hate us and the rest of Europe.

@Campion I replied to you in the wrong thread. Too many tabs open and I wasn't paying attention. My bad.

No worries, it's true enough for both threads anyway. Brits think that fair play and being the good samaritan will gain respect from the rest of the world, but it's taken as a weakness to be milked for as long as we're willing to play the repentant sinner.

I'm not as sympathetic as I used to be because so many of them jumped on the BLM bandwagon, and they often blame the occupation on European colonialism. It makes me wonder if the accusations about Palestine being a Soviet israel satellite are true. If you're a Palestinian that doesn't hate whitey then you're cool though.

Please let's remind each other that society is not broken, it is an illusion and a self fulfilling prophecy. Every day we are bombarded with words, but while women and men still love each other, and races are friends with each other, there is hope and stability. We will not become what they are telling us we already are. Remember who you are, and have faith in those who are strong.

Today I smiled at people who made eye contact, spoke to a stranger or two, looked at something beautiful, remembered where we come from, who we come from, and laughed at a joke, and felt belief and gratitude in so many things. It's not all bad. I don't want to be an accidental part of the deliberate destruction, but part of what survives in the ashes! 😉

When the government puts our women and children in danger then it's a broken society in my opinion.

@Observations

I should add that I still mostly agree with you. I do think society is broken a in a lot of ways, but I still think the majority of people from all groups are okay and just want to be left alone. Unfortunately it doesn't take many bad apples to spoil things for the rest of us. We should still try and keep our humanity and treat people with respect on an individual level though.

I hear you EnigmaticWorld, I look forward to catching up a bit more sometime soon. These things test all of our emotions, we are thinking and conversing, and at least we are here trying to make sense if it all.
