'I try to undermine that BS in my classroom': English teacher claims teaching kids 'how to write properly' is rooted in white supremacy

 
 

 A California English teacher recently posted several controversial videos on social media claiming that teaching children "how to write properly" is rooted in white supremacy and vowed to begin the school year with a different approach to teaching linguistics, Fox News Digital reported.

Marta Shaffer, an English teacher at Oroville High School in northern California, posted videos to TikTok claiming that white supremacy culture "runs deep" in public schools.

"What do I mean by that?" Shaffer stated. "Well, let's look at how we write essays: Start with an introduction that includes a thesis; always cite your sources; use transition words like 'however' and 'therefore.' They are all made-up rules. They're arbitrary. They were created by Westerners in power."

According to Shaffer, the IQ bell curve and the SAT are also problematic and "racist."

"The writers of these tests were made up almost entirely of white people … and they still are," she said.

 

In Shaffer's social media bio, which she recently deleted, she described herself as an ally to LGBT youth and "another cringey millennial."

"As an educator, I am constantly worried if I am part of the problem," stated Shaffer. "Public education is an institution that upholds lots of problematic systems in our society like white supremacy and misogyny and colonization, etc. I try to undermine that B.S. in my classroom as much as I can."

 

Shaffer referred to writing rules and proper grammar as the "language of power" and said she would start the school year with a unit "honoring how we talk rather than teaching students how to write properly."

  • Sam Brinton, a senior DOE official, is alleged to have stolen a suitcase from the baggage carousel at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on September 16
  • Brinton then took the bag to a St. Paul hotel and then returned to the airport in order to travel to Washington DC on September 18

A non-binary drag queen who had been working in a high-profile job in President Joe Biden's Department of Energy has admitted to stealing a suitcase from a baggage carousel and using the bag for their personal travel over the course of a month.  

Sam Brinton, whose full title was as the DOE's Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Office of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition, says that they 'accidentally' took the suitcase with contents worth over $2,300 from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on September 16 around 4:45 pm. 

It was later confirmed that the suspect was not traveling with a checked bag when they arrived in Minnesota. 

They are also known to perform as 'Sister Ray Dee O'Active' while participating in a group called the Order of Perpetual Indulgence - a non-profit group of drag queens who dress up as nuns to raise awareness of sexual intolerance and transphobia.

My lady's cousin has been with us for a few days. She is the most woke person I have ever met. Full Communist party member in Italy. A so called activist etc.

Being wired as I am, I could only hold back so long. I will never have anyone stay in my house again. She has F ing broken me.

You've got me wondering Bom, if there's a debate within Communist circles between old style socialists who do at least have the interests of the genuine working-class at heart; and younger, woke middle-class commies who are more interested in the latest flavour-of-the-month issues fed to them by the elite.

its scary what the effect of brainwashing can do. 

at the same time, people who gets brainwashed.. its their karma and nothing can be done to help them. best remove them from our life.

not make any research of their own

trust the MSM

distrust any of us since we are not "experts"

 

they have lost the plot on anything real. Its like talking to a religious person that really believe that the Coran or Torrah is the word of god.

Just catching the end of headliners on GB News. I understand that it's kinda controlled opposition. Ok, controlled opposition. It serves a purpose. A steam valve. A monitoring service. However, I like this show. It's funny. A different take. I like all the guests and presenters, especially Simon Evans. I found him at first through stand up.

 

You gotta laugh haven't you? OK, the owners are against us, as usual ... but that's life huh? 😆

Among those who attended the White House's ceremony for the signing of the legislation codifying same-sex marriage were two drag queens, one of whom once tweeted: 'The kids are out to sing and suck d!'

Another performed for a group of kids in a church in New York in August where 'social pressure' was put on students of Grace School to enjoy the show. 

Marti G. Cummings, a New York City-based drag queen and activist, was pictured at the event alongside fellow drag queen, Brita Filter, at Biden's event. Filter starred on season 12 of RuPaul's Drag Race.
