Saturn

Just watched a few videos about Saturn which was very interesting. A few years ago I had the most vivid dream that Saturn smashed into the earth and and wiped out everyone. In the dream it was that real I could feel the gravity lifting me in the air while watching it get so close to the earth. Hopefully this wasn't a premonition of some sort 😟

Jupiter and Saturn approached each other in the summer of 2020. The most impressive period falls on December 16-25, when the giants are separated by a distance of one-fifth of the diameter of the full moon (about 694 kilometers).
Of course, watching the giants is better at night. However, since these planets are bright enough, they are visible even at dusk - if, of course, the sky is cloudless. Jupiter is especially bright. It is now the brightest object in the night sky after the Moon. It shines with a calm, even yellowish light, but, unlike real stars, it hardly flickers. Saturn is somewhat dimmer than Jupiter, but it is comparable to the brightest stars in the night sky. Like its current satellite, Saturn emits its light calmly and practically does not flicker.

The parade of the two giant planets can be followed from anywhere in the world. But the best conditions for observation are near the equator. The farther north the observer is, the less time he will have until the moment when Jupiter and Saturn disappear behind the horizon. If you want to find Saturn and Jupiter in the sky, turn your gaze to the southwest at dusk. At about the same level, low enough above the horizon, you will see two large celestial bodies. On the right is the brighter Jupiter, on the left is the paler Saturn.

Ā

Maybe this was the reason of your dream?

What with regards toĀ  the visualĀ  perspective from earth or the actual distance from the two planets , I find that statement very misleadingĀ

Markg, I completely understand your feelings about your dream, especially when it is so realistic. I also sometimes have such dreams, connected with outer space and its exploration. Fortunatelly I rarely have apocalyptic plot of my dreamsĀ šŸ˜…Ā But often it makes me ponder about some objects in Solar system available for close research. Like Saturn's moons. I even think Titan is the most likely candidate for colonizatioт as it hasĀ the presence of hydrocarbons on it, on which most of the earth's technology is currently working🧐

This video makes over such theory 🧐 But how is it connected with Saturn? I thought we will discuss here everything connected with Saturn as a planet and its numerous moons? I like finding out interesting facts about planets and everything concerning space exploration. For example, on average Saturn is 1.4 billion km away from the Sun. It takes 29,5 years to make one turn around our star. During whole  my existance on Earth - there is 1 year passed on Saturn😁

Planets aren't evil. It takes each planet to support life on Earth. Each planet reflects the Suns light upon the Earth, all of which create a matrix for us to live in upon this plane and dimension.

Ā

Saturn is the great reaper. It yeilds the good and evil that we sow and reaps our deeds. It's only grim if one sows grim seeds.
