At a certain point, if the basic infrastructure of the internet is brought down it needs to be brought up in a certain order in order to function. We'll then find out that the guy with the password for top level Internet switch/DNS stored his SSH key (think of that as a long password you can't remember) on OneDrive which can't be accesses as the Internet is down.
