I think that his 'Prince Of Darkness' film might be a metaphor for something that the PTB want to achieve. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Anyone know if this idea was ever discussed on the old forum? I happened to be munching on the sofa, while flicking through some TV channels, and it was just starting. I had no idea what it was and it really creeped me out at the time! I think that it is Carpenter's most underrated movie. Lisa Blount sadly died quite young. For some reason this film kept coming back on me when thinking about the bigger spritual aspects of current events. The clip you posted where the woman puts her hand through the mirror to summon the darkness beyond, really freaks me out. Always did. There is a element truth through out all of carpenters work he is an inside man they put the truth in films so people will just be like that’s not true that’s just in the movies your crazy well I say to them the best people usually are . The Horror Channel channel was rebranded as the Legend channel on 30th June 2022, in case anyone hadn't realised. First time that I have noticed it broadcast on terrestrial TV in quite a well. Anyhow, I watched it again, then wondered whether Carpenter could be suggesting that the anti-Christ is going to be a female? Just a vague thought. There's a video, can't find it on YTube but, it details the testing of the nuclear bomb. On one of the tests they hung a huge ball of some material next to the bomb to be tested - there's pics of it. The video stated that inside the huge 'egg' they placed a foetus. They exploded the bomb next to the egg and hoped it would change the foetus - through mild exposure to radiation - they then implanted the foetus into a woman. They hoped to birth the Anti-Christ or some other demonic entity by using the radiation from the bomb to alter the feotus. They thought the feotus needed to be as close as possible to the radiation to be (mildly) bathed in the energy produced in close proximity to the explosion.
