HistoryIsComplex
I'm a great believer in staying sober - never tried psychedlics or anything that could be labeled a "drug". I will say this however: The pharma-shit doctors prescribe - anti-depressants and other "happy pills" - have HORRENDOUS side-effects. Many people who take them suffer strange or disturbing side-effects or become DEPENDENT on them. The problems the system creates throw people into DEPRESSION, and then they get SOMA to get out of it again...

I think people identify so strongly with the waking state, that they label this to be ultimate reality, and everything else - not reality.

Are you suggesting you've never had these either?
Carthus
Depression is very serious. Once, when I was a teenager, I had depression. It was a very sad experience, every day you feel bad, you don't have the mood to do anything. The only thing you do is think and always think about the bad. Problem is, I get it and feel like the hassle wasn't even worth it. I'll just stick to self improvement (SIG) threads on 4chan. lol What I recommend is doing it properly. Quit your job for 6 months or a year and just devote yourself to weed. Best hash is in Morocco. When all this is over fly out there for a couple months and just dedicate yourself to accessing the next dimension. I love skunk too, but it renders your brain a little too incapacitated, top notch pollen hash gives you a lot of physical and mental freedom to be able to fully operate, it really is the best of both worlds. I'm not even kidding. I became a bit of an expert when it came down to serious weed abuse. I got to the point where I understood quantum physics, had the spirit of the late Rik Mayall telling me jokes.....and could even stop Atlantic storms outside my sea facing penthouse apartment with a thought.....hahaahahaha fuck..weed is awesome. You want to know how to make miracles.....get involved with top notch hash for a long time and open your mind to possibilities. I wrote this book wholly under the influence of the very best Moroccan pollen hash while living in Casablanca. You be the judge: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7UatGizntaJYllMRndhaVhEU28/edit?resourcekey=0-PHsgAn-qRPbvEmkTvqU2ew Admittedly it's quite short because I was usually too stoned to write...just floating in cosmic bliss and bathed in the light of eternity. I would close my eyes at night and could find the sun shining in my mind. I was holding down a teaching job for the US State Department from 2pm - 10pm only three days a week so I got a lot of freedom to escape from so called reality. If you get the best stuff there's really nothing stopping you from achieving escape velocity as you rocket out of physical existence. Great times. Will do it again soon hopefully. Tinfoil Hat
On 12/11/2020 at 3:02 PM, Ziggy Sawdust said: The late Peter Green and Danny Kirwan were the two young superb guitarists in the early Fleetwood Mac band...... they went to a party in Munich where they dropped acid.....They then both spent the rest of their lives in and out of mental institutions .....Band manager Clifford Davis claims that this was the night that Peter Green and Danny Kirwan became 'seriously mentally ill'. The incident and their subsequent awful lives are well documented both on Google and You Tube. I truly believe that they'd both disagree strongly with Bill Hicks. Peter Green is my favourite song writer / guitarist of all time. And he was beautiful in his youth. Such a sad waste of a talented man's life. I've a younger brother who has also fucked his life up with drugs from an early age. Everybody thinks they can handle it because they know better than everyone else, but a lot are wrong and pay a terrible price.

BillMcLaurin
There has been a lot of consideration given to 'micro dosing' of drugs such as LSD and psylocibin as a treaqtment for depression.
andy1033
I have no problem with such things. But the problem with it, is that such things, will bring what ever problems you have deep within you to the surface, if you have any. Whether that is good or bad, depends on what those problems are. So, yep such things may help in depressed people, but it can also, bring things to surface that may destroy you even more, as a human. This is nonsense, you obviously have no personal experience. Alcohol is by far and away more likely to promote demonic possession. Weed, I would say, can be dangerous to weak minds as it shows too much reality and some people get overwhelmed and can't handle it. LSD and psychedelics have nothing to do with possession, it's more like an out of body experience. That's something we all have to deal with when we die. This is probably the reason LSD has been found to be good for depression, because it shows you that there's more to reality than you thought and eternity and infinite possibility awaits, that is quite an exciting thought.
