Because, although she is from Anglo-Saxon stock on both sides, she has no IDEA what being white even fking means... because my sister and her partner don't even give a thought, let alone talk, about 'race' - whether their own or someone elses. Parents who raise children to be able to even comprehend such things at that age should be done for mental abuse. I understand that there are studies showing that infants and young children can recognise race, but that's in the sense that there's an innate ability for humans to distinguish their "in" group.
