What a long story.  The sheep enter all spiritual traditions ... you see above how happy Pat Ryan is telling his story, he is loving it.   So he got what he wanted.   He went there planning how he's gonna make some cash afterwards.

It is for this reason that all real traditions do not have open doors, and most people will never see one in their life.  There are just too many Pat Ryan's around.

Ultimately what is the point of going anywhere and doing anything ... if all you are doing is to gather info for your ex-cult book?

Well for the sheeple of the world they don't ... because they maintain this world just the way it is, like sheep maintain the grass by grazing it.  They seek out any different ideas and remove them from the planet.  After that everyone feels more relaxed.

New ideas ruffle the sheeple, they get a little anxious.

 

Pat Ryan here talks about various genuine experiences he had, feelings in the spine, energetics in the body, and visions and so on.
Luckily he managed to find a sheeple expert therapist who convinced him that it wasn't happening.

Then he felt calm again, and could be walking dead man like the other sheeple.

Quite hilarious.

You see this a lot nowadays, if you feel like maybe you ... should be alive, just switch on the MSM and they convince you its normal to be a walking dead slave in a rat race.

Then you will "feel calm" about living like that.

 

But I am not saying TM is any good, hyper ventilating and kundalini stuff is a pretty low type of spirituality.

Edibles made from pot are legal these days, add a couch and some music from the late 60's and early 70's and let the best parts repeat as long as you like. When that gets boring take a white page and fill it with some knowledge about some subject you know nothing about. That will require reading a lot and a broadband connection.

How is kundalini low level stuff? are you an expert on the subject to make such a claim?

Yes I am.  But energy work is always low level stuff because it is a path for those with little intelligence, and for people with little feeling.  Such people cannot do ordinary paths so there are some paths for people who don't: they are :

 

- fakir : using the physical body

- energy work : using the subtle body

- grace : somebody does everything for you

 

The "ordinary" paths that most use are:

- bhakti : feeling

- jnana : intelligence

- transmission : the student and teacher co-operate to create a bond at a state

 

But ... the important thing is that you do what works for you an find a way out.  Even for geniuses there are people smarter than them.  Souls are different and have different destinies.

Never heard it ever described as a path for dim people. Im quite sure Patanjalis writings dont describe it as you do. If it has the power to unite you with God then how is that low level? isnt that the goal of all attainment?

It is and it's totally valid.  I do energy work myself several hours every day, but it's not exactly a compliment - most people don't need to do it.  Nevertheless you just need to get there by whatever works.
