Do dream catchers work?

Recommended Posts

Obviously I’m a bit skeptical but I don’t know anything about them. What are people’s experiences or knowledge about them? I had a conversation yesterday about them with someone, then ironically that night had a fairly intense nightmare, despite praying before going to sleep. It just went on and on and on, and it’s not often I get nightmares tbf

Remember watching a program on telly a few years ago. They were talking to various Native American tribes about their culture etc. When one guy was asked about dream catchers he laughed. Said they were originally made by parents to soothe their children’s nightmares. Nothing mystical or fantastic just simple parenting to protect their loved ones.  An aid to help the power of mind to relax and gain healing.
Had many friends who had Indian spirit guides. All who happened to be famous figures rather conveniently. When the Indian in the tv program was asked about them he laughed even more. Said he could not believe white people could really believe the ancestors of his would protect their destroyers or their children.

Yup :)

Although I must admit, I do find them very pretty, so have one above my bed.

I've one over my bed and I have to say I haven't really noticed a difference in dreams or sleeping pattern.

I'd got mine at a small Native American stall at one of the ridges of the Grand Canyon. It was blessed (presumably) by a native woman and has charms attached to the web.

I find that sleeping with crystals like Moonstone, Amethyst and Quartz under your pillow influences amazing dreams.

But too many under your pillow, particularly a mixed bag of them, causes nightmares and stressful dreams.

When I enquired about this, I was told that that shouldn't be done as it's too much mixed energy in the one place.

I'll entertain that idea simply because I've experienced it first hand.

TL;DR? Try sleeping with a few third-eye/crown chakra stones under your pillow.
