There are many facets to every human being. It seem to me that people are choosing  a small facet or what a person has done in the past to bolster their preconceived opinions as to what the whole individual is actually like

How is it preconceived opinions if some of us conservative types used to trust him? I don't know anyone that was against Jordan when he first started going viral.

The other thing is bringing things up from the past , peoples attitudes, opinions and actions change over time so people should be judged on what their like now ,not what they did or said  twenty years ago.

The past? These tweets are recent.

Doesn't anyone find it strange how Duginists often promote Peterson?

"Unleash Afro-American racists on white America." - Aleksandr Dugin

Does Peterson agree with that? Someone should pull him up on it.

Didn't Jordan speak at a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration?

I didn't say these weren't recent, I was just making a comment on social media generally.

However I would like to see the entire twitter discussion to gauge context

I know this is about J Peterson, however I was making observation with regards to all people in the public eye so to speak, I think everyone in that position is entitled to an off day now and again (except politicians )

I have been catching up on Millenniyule 2020 and have had autoplay on. Every time a vid ends, youtube keeps sending me to a JBP vid.

Look at the vids on the right. Why is youtube recommending Peterson to people that are obviously not interested in him? Doesn't make any sense.

He's always annoyed me.... too smug in his intellectualism, granted he's a highly qualified clinical psychologist, but he's just thinks he's better than everyone else and seems to always talks in circles as if he's trying to explain stuff... but trying to explain it to himself as he goes.. lol  - as per the transcript below; its the perfect example of what I've always thought about him... lots of words, lots of 'theories', lots of 'I sound so smart' - but no actual substance!

I saw this about a year ago and cracked up.. JP raving to himself as Don Jr and Charlie Kirk are like 'what the fk' - you can see it in their faces as JP is having a rant about abortion, sexual morality and the state of US politics.. but not in a 'sit down' its in the green room before JP was going to talk to an audience and he must have caught them... you can imagine Don Jr is thinking afterwards "I need some fucking coke?!"  my fav bit is @2:40-7 and Kimberly Guilfoyle blinking her eyes

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/12/24/exclusive-behind-the-scenes-watch-jordan-peterson-speak-to-donald-trump-jr-guilfoyle-others-at-student-action-summit/

This video was taken  Thursday in the green room moments before Peterson took the stage to address thousands of students in attendance.

Transcript below:

I was in Washington a week ago, and I was thinking, we were talking about how to bring people together across the House divide, because the House is extraordinarily divided now, and people aren’t talking, and I thought it would be very interesting — well — abortion is obviously a key issue, but it’s one that’s unbelievably contentious.

One of the things I thought about with regards to the abortion issue, is that, by the time you’re talking about abortion, you’re probably having the wrong conversation, which is why it’s so deeply polarized. There’s a sequence of bad decisions that have already occurred by the time that’s the conversation, and one of the things you see that’s really quite interesting — and I just started to think about it this way, in this last week or so, is that — the traditional right, the conservative types, are pushing quite hard, and always have, for the encapsulation of sexual behavior within a fairly traditional structure, marriage.

But you know, you’re seeing sexual taboos — sexual taboos are very common across cultures, but — you’re seeing the same thing emerge on the Left in a completely different form, because on the one hand, especially the radical Leftist types, their basic claim is that anything goes, but at the same time, they’re putting forward these affirmative consent regulations and laws in many states, and they’re insisting that we live in the middle of a rape culture.

They’re acting as if sex is a very volatile and dangerous enterprise — which actually happens to be the case — and so, even though that issue is extraordinarily tense, partly because people on the Left — would like to let a thousand flowers bloom, let’s say — there is an accruing agreement that there’s some deep discussion that has to be had about sexual morality, and that’s a place where — despite the differences — some sort of bipartisan discussion might occur.

Obviously, people are very upset about the manner in which sexual activity is occurring — especially among young people — they’re upset on the Left, and they’re upset on the Right.

I think it’s partly also a consequence of the fact that we haven’t adapted to the birth control pill yet. It was a major technological revolution, the birth control pill. It’s only been 50 years, and we haven’t figured out what it means for women to have control of the reproductive function, or what the consequences of that should be, socially. The Leftist types, especially in the sixties, thought you just blow sexual morality apart completely, because now people were free to do what they want, but that isn’t working. There’s a backlash against that on the Left, as well.

So, it would be engaging and necessary to think that though, because maybe there’s some room for a real discussion about that.

Out of reactions. Pretty much sums up my feelings on him. I've read most of 12 rules for life a few years ago because someone brought it for me. It wasn't well written and he drones on. Perhaps that is more of a reflection on me. There was a few good sections/bits and pieces in there that had value.

Not sure about his politics and his shilling but I'm sure some of it is true.

I always thought if he is helping young people and young men get their shit together then he is a force for good but like you said there's not actually a lot of meat on what he says. I love watching long talks however as you say he talks in circles and there's only so many hours in the day and he never gets to the point!

I started off liking him, but the more I watch, the more I see him as an absolute bullshit artist. Harry Frankfurt's insights on this matter may be appropriate in Peterson's case:

Are you serious?

Eight hours in total?

Did you watch them all?

I absolutely F*cking doubt it.

Plus, after watching about 10 mins of the first one I get the definite impression of... mutual masturbation.

Has anyone here watched all of them? If you have please give us a summary.

I thinj we all know by now that JP is the worst kind of shill.

I keep seeing this c@** on my YouTube suggestions all the time now.

Sorry to use language and I know I sound like an animal. I read his book and was fond of him and his ideas but the book was a snorefest and I'm pretty sure he is controlled opposition now.

Stick around, I'm sure @EnigmaticWorld can smash the life out of any person who you may have once or still admire. Just leave a list, I'm sure he can dismantle every name on the list.

It shocks me how many have been apart of all the suffering that's gone on in the world. Forget your idols, they're not worth it. 👍

Well, I was not privy to the privy forum and not really covering this side of it, neither was Icke who I've followed intently for a long time. It just opens another rabbit hole of utter scumbaggery on their part. Shame they're shills.
