rideforever
Roughly ESE about 40deg up from the horizon. Looking at it now. Funny thing is doesn't look like a dot ... looks like several lights clustered together, 2 or 3. Not sure if those are moons or just reflections, haven't got a telescope. Concerned Citizen
Mars is a Planet, not a star but I think I know what you are meaning.

I first noticed it a few evenings ago, wondered what the hell it was at first as it was quite bright! Mars does have two moons, but they are quite small. Mr Owl ... tell me this ... maybe check it out the Planet of the God of War tonight if -you can see it through the British weather ! ... does it look like a point to you ... or does it look like an alien space station ... I mean not a dot, but maybe some parts of the planet are shining more brightly, or possibly the moons are close and make it not uniform ? To be honest, when I first saw it the other evening - on a clearish night - it looked like a 'fireball' at first. I've seen Mars in the sky before, and it usually appears much 'duller'. More where that came from: This was last night. The music is from RA and it's truth dope. I got extremely close and while dim and pixelated somewhat, this thing is not a sphere! It is not even a circle! It might be a pizza. Edited October 30, 2020 by amy G 1 1
Truthspoon
That is idiotic. You are not seeing Mars, you are seeing the limits of your telescope or binoculars. Please...don't fill this forum with bullshit like this Amy G. I wonder if this is why the forum seems to be dying off. It's mostly bullshit these days..... Fifth element
Mars is the brighest planet in the sky coming in SE at dusk. I see jupiter and saturn are close together to the south or SW same time. Blue moon tomorrow night on halloween of all nights probably be cloudy I expect. Yes I totally agree, over the last week I've been in two minds if I should to continue or not. It maybe my age but lately when I log in I have had both my bullshit and dumb shit meters running at red line. This forum requires us to act with decorum civility and respect which is fair enough, but I must admit it's getting harder and harder

serpentine
Here's what a Star looks like with various filters necessarily in place. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tmbeLTHC_0 Put it through a 4k projector, fill up a wall with the image and leave it on repeat with sound optional.

Well before you can learn you have to be able to think correctly, and unfortunately a good number are now unable to do either, their brains are no longer in their respective heads they keep them in their pocket in a mobile phone that dose their thinking for them. If certain people are gullible, what word do you suggest I use then. On the flip side there will always be people that take advantage of that fact, mostly for financial gain or power, covid crap ,case in point, and to a much lesser degree bullshit on utube Edited October 31, 2020 by peter

I would agree that that is probably the case with the majority , but I believe there is quite a few here with an agenda What you believe to be the truth is up to you it's none of my business and quite frankly I don't care, whether you are gullible or not is not up to me to say the statement was meant as a generalization, I don't know you so I can only form an opinion on what you have posted. Amy G disinfo cult leader of the flerth patrollers posts this shit in every thread about space & gets away with it. amy G
The above is an actual photo of Mars and to compare with the CGI images many are comfortable taking as truth. And this is what mars does: Extraordinarily beautiful, yes? Heliocentrism and their cultists will never explain this rationally.
