In my opinion, yes. It seems to me that there are a number of 'high-profile' names among the 'alternative circles', who regularly find themselves in 'bother' with the Met Police.

 

And they always seem to have a camera crew at the ready to film the shenanigans, the videos of which end up on the internet and shared amongst their followers.

 

Tommy Robinson is one that springs to mind also.

 

Now, I'm not saying that the Met Police are angels (and I do think these lockdown restrictions are a load of bollocks), but is Mr Rose basically saying that he had 'permission' from the council to 'break the lockdown rules' by going out campaigning in public?

 

I find that hard to believe personally, so I don't find it surprising that the Met Police jobsworths were keen to pick him up.

 

It wouldn't also surprise me if the Met Police - being Common Purpose controlled - were 'in on the act', and ready to assist in providing 'explosive' video material to be shared amongst certain individuals' followers.

 

Seriously, beware the 'pied pipers' amongst us...

Because the BBC 'knows whats best for you', and that only Labour or Conservative candidates will stick to the narrative and the agenda. They can't be having any 'loose cannons' like Rose or Kurten given any opportunity to upset the apple cart and start speaking some truths to the people of London.

What I do know is that there are 18 candidates standing in this election, and all the best to those standing as independents or representing smaller parties.

 

But I'm also pretty sure that Sadiq Khan is going to win this easily. It always boils down to the perception that 'only Labour or Conservative will win', a perception fuelled by the media, which is just as much Establishment as the main political parties.

 

The majority of people will go to the polling stations, and will just vote Conservative or Labour without giving any thought as to what they are actually doing, they just do what they are 'programmed' to do.

 

Anyway, we probably need a thread about local mayoral elections elsewhere, so to keep this one 'on-topic' I'll just finish by saying that Brian Rose has NO chance of becoming London's mayor, just as much as the other independent candidates do.

I like to go beyond this group think. Couldn't care less if someone's a royalist or not. The royals have a lot of soft power and if they didn't then the PM would have even more sick power.
