Anyone signed up to Brand New Tube may be best advised to change passwords. Quote BNT now back up. No statement from BNT at time of writing, despite them knowing about this hack for several hours. If you use the same email address and password on BNT as anywhere else you'll need to change your password on every website you use those details on. A data breach is a serious incident that may warrant investigation by Information Commissioner - I have an account on BNT and attempted to use their site, however the multiple errors I experienced from day one marred my experience, and in my opinion this unfortunately set red flags off from day one - your experience may vary. The fact remains, however, that the website was hacked today, and 110,000 users' data has been leaked on a publicly accessible forum for anyone to pore though. I emailed them to ask them why they did this and got no response. If that continues I will just delete my account and stop using the website. I am growing weary of it's cheap, tacky user interface anyway. It doesn't surprise me that they got hacked. It was probably some six year old. The lack of communication, combined with a poorly designed, unsafe website riddled with spelling mistakes is not something I am particularly interested in. Brand New Tube has failed it's users by not securing their login details. It's Vernon Coleman I feel bad for. He simply won't get the same number of subscribers now, and a lot of people will quite rightly leave this amateur operation as a result of what has happened. He said all emails have been leaked their DB was hacked, several accounts were deleted of popular channels.
