Didn't quite realize this back then, but the famous "chestburster" - depicted below - is essentially a Wiener with nasty teeth and blood smeared all over it. Its almost conveying "A man's instrument will hurt you badly inside" to women. At the time I thought it was just a "horror design" by the famously eccentric Giger. Now, with Woke and LGBTQ everywhere, I'm beginning to wonder whether this was an early example of programming aimed squarely at female viewers. Were women supposed to get so freaked out by this thing - subconsciously - that it made the thought of having intercourse with men less desirable? In the film version the creature also has a long Spermathoza-like tail. "Sperm will hurt you"?
