Thank you for mentioning Malaysia here. Yes, the government has announced the Fake News Laws and also heavy fines for not adhering the SOPs. Freaking insane.

PETALING JAYA: Effective tomorrow, those who create, publish or distribute fake news will face a fine of up to RM100,000, a jail term of up to three years or both under a new emergency ordinance published today.
Those who pay for the creation of such fake news will face harsher punishment, with fines of up to RM500,000 or a jail term of six years or both.
The Emergency (Essential Powers) (No. 2) Ordinance 2021 defines “fake news” as news or information that “is or are wholly or partly false relating to Covid-19 or the proclamation of emergency”.
In addition, the courts may order those convicted of an offence to apologise to those affected by their actions. Failure to do so may result in another fine of up to RM50,000, a jail term of under a year, or both.
The law applies to all media forms “capable of suggesting words or ideas,” such as news features, videos and audio material.
Those in control or in possession of material deemed to be fake news have 24 hours to remove the offending publication from the time the direction is given by the police or an authorised officer. Those who fail to do so will face a fine not exceeding RM100,000 with up to RM3,000 added every day the directive is not followed.
The police or authorised officers can be directed by the sessions court to take necessary measures to remove the published material on the application of the public prosecutor.
Any person affected by the publication or distribution of the fake news may make an ex parte application to the sessions court to order its removal.
Further, it is also an offence to knowingly provide financial assistance for the purpose of creating or disseminating fake news, and those found guilty are liable to a fine not exceeding RM500,000, a jail term of up to six years, or both.
King’s emergency proclamation, ordinances cannot be challenged:
RM10,000 fine for MCO offenders is now on
Hakimie Amrie Hisamudin - March 11, 2021 1:36 PM
KUALA LUMPUR: The enforcement of the RM10,000 fine for those who breach the movement control order (MCO) as well as those who can trigger the spread of Covid-19 is now effective.
However, Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador said those who have been slapped with the RM10,000 compound fine can appeal and the fine may be lowered.
He said police had recommended that repeat offenders and those who cause the spread of the disease be hit with heftier fines while those with lesser offences can have their fines reduced.
The increase of the penalty from RM1,000 to RM10,000 is part of the Emergency (Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases) (Amendment) Ordinance 2021, which came into force today.
“The heavier fines are for those who are stubborn by committing offences repeatedly as well as those who violate SOPs, including (unauthorised) interstate travel, causing the spread of Covid-19,” he told reporters at a press conference in Bukit Aman today.
337 arrests over MCO-related offences:
He said most of the offences committed were failure to maintain physical distancing (109).
Among the other offences were taking part in activities at entertainment outlets (72), failure to provide materials to record customers’ details (55), crossing states or districts without permission (42), not wearing face mask (41) and others (18).
Meanwhile, 3,260 compliance task force teams were deployed to conduct checks on 4,662 supermarkets, 6,120 restaurants, 4,003 hawker stalls, 3,234 banks, 2,454 factories, 769 government offices, as well as 5,630 land, water and air transport terminals.
Meanwhile, they even put the stick into a baby's nose. Disgusting.
I am also curious about what are the refutable points about how the mRNA vaccine works in the article below since it may even convince more of the covidians to take the jab. One of the quote:
"The protein our muscle cells make in response to this viral mRNA is a harmless piece of the Covid-19 virus called the spike protein. Once the mRNA has delivered its message it is broken down by the muscle cell itself (like any other RNA)."
Since last year I discovered David, I've following this forum and I am greatful for the information everyone sharing and discussing. This is the first time I post on this forum and just a little introduction, I am a University student in Malaysia and will be going back to the campus tomorrow (of course will be 'jailed' in the residential college). I had deleted the tracking app since I found out about the hoax but now I have been forced to install it back to not getting fined. Sad thing in Malaysia is most of the people are just blindly following the rules with no resistance at all. I have also provided information for some of my close friends and managed to wake up one (better than nothing tho?) and others just don't take it seriously. The news today showed that about 23 percent population in Malaysia has registered for the vaccine. Covid passport is also a real thing here.
Lastly, just curious any Malaysian who is active on this forum? We have to fight back together!
