    Plan your summer holiday wisely.

Very convenient and timely for Parliamentary summer recess. I am sure they more than just considered relaxing the rules just so they could have their holidays abroad. It just happens to be school holidays too.

Covid: Doctors want to keep some measures after 19 July

Predictable, of course. No surprise there. Nothing to see. Doctors have been 'persuaded' onto the plan since the start; raking in $$$$$. Mine have actually disappeared from their NHS surgery

What's the prediction for 19 July? The MSM keep saying Boris is adamant things will be 'as normal as they can be', but I just can't see it. Also new health secretary seems to suggest the same.

Delta plus has gone a bit quiet, wonder what they will pull out of the bag in the next 3 weeks!

Any statement is likely to have a caveat expression included e.g. 'likely', 'as far as possible', 'hopefully' so .... it just won't happen, imho. That way, they can't be accused of lying

Nah, I think I'll go with the innate 'perfect immune response' provided to me when I was born. Thanks for asking though.

An interesting one that and yes there are rules for entry. Welcome to the Displeauredome.

    https://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/visit_and_tickets/covid19_entry_requirements.html

What are the requirements for entry to The Championships?

    • You will be required to show proof of COVID status upon entry in the form of:
      • Full vaccination (first and second dose), and with the second dose administered at least 14 days before your visit, OR
      • A negative lateral flow test taken within 48 hours of your visit (for those aged 11 and over), OR
      • If you are resident in England, proof of natural immunity (positive PCR test within the last six months, after self-isolation has ended and up to 180 days after taking the test), demonstrated via your NHS COVID Pass on the NHS App.
    • Your mobile device and the Wimbledon App downloaded in order to display your ticket.
    • You will need to have shared your additional ticket with your Guest (if you have purchased a pair) via the Manage Benefits section of your profile on wimbledon.com. They will need to have created their own  my Wimbledon account and have downloaded the Wimbledon App.
    • A valid photo ID.
    • A face covering (unless medically exempt).

    Proof of COVID Status

    Ticket-holders resident in England:

    • For residents of England, you may demonstrate your COVID status - either full vaccination, or a negative lateral flow test, or proof of natural immunity - using the COVID Pass on the NHS App. For more information on how to do this, please click here

Ticket-holders resident elsewhere in the UK or an overseas country:

    • You may demonstrate your COVID status using the COVID Pass if you are fully vaccinated. For more information on how to do this, please click here
    • If you live in Scotland, you can obtain your vaccination status on this website.
    • If you live in Wales, please check the latest guidelines from the Welsh Government by visiting this website.
    • At this stage, there is no process for residents of Northern Ireland and any other international country to evidence their vaccination status - please take a lateral flow test as follows:
      • If you are unable to provide evidence of your vaccination status, you can still gain entry to The Championships by undertaking a free lateral flow test, which can be self-administered at home or at your accommodation in England, and report your result via the NHS Self-Report Tool. You do not need to be a resident in England to upload your result using the NHS Self-Report Tool. The test needs to be taken within 48 hours of your entry to the Grounds.

Further details on how to show proof of COVID Status

For residents of England, more information on the COVID Pass

    Face coverings and distancing

Ticket-holders will be required to wear face coverings while moving around the venue grounds. To further trial the suspension of Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions (face coverings and social distancing), the use of face coverings and social distancing will not be mandatory while ticket holders are seated while at the venue.

This will enable ticket-holders to sit with any guest at any time, both in the court and in food and drink spaces, however we expect there still to be a form of social distancing around the Grounds, particularly in managing any queues.

    Mobile App and Photo ID

All tickets will be displayed via the Official Wimbledon App (Wimbledon 2021), and must be produced, along with photo ID, on arrival at the AELTC.

    Simple enough

Has anyone noticed food shortages/empthshelves yet in supermarkets?

I have heard it discussed, but I only try to go once a month now as is so annoying.

Not particularly where I am (East Anglia, UK) but I have noticed unusual price rises on various food items

I think what people are upset about is that he has been telling people to maintain social distancing and not to hug loved ones.....while he himself is breaking his own rules

time and time again we have seen the people at the centre of this lockdown nonsense break their own rules with no repercussions whilst the rest of us are being fined, arrested and threatened

The evidence, among others, that the whole covid stuff is nonsense; otherwise, he (being an 'insider') would abide by his own rules so as to avoid catching it.

British health chiefs may soon reveal Covid vaccines made by Pfizer and Moderna are linked to an extremely rare form of heart damage already seen in the US and Israel

    • The MHRA said myocarditis levels were the same among vaccinated people
    • But updated information published last night did not include this line
    • One expert said this could signal that they have found a causal link

By Emily Craig Health Reporter For Mailonline

    Published: 18:19, 25 June 2021 | Updated: 18:22, 25 June 2021

British health chiefs could soon issue a warning that Pfizer and Moderna's Covid jabs are linked to heart issues in extremely rare cases, experts believe.

Fears about the two jabs causing myocarditis have grown in recent weeks, following a string of cases in young adults and children in Israel and the US.

American regulators have already accepted there is a 'likely link' between the heart condition and the vaccines, and will add warnings about the potential complication on information sheets given to the public.

Israel's Health Ministry has said the Pfizer vaccine, the only jab it is using in its rollout, is the 'probable' cause in a tiny number of cases.

Last week the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), which polices the safety of drugs in the UK, said rates of myocarditis among vaccinated adults were 'similar or below' expected levels.

But last night, MailOnline can reveal the watchdog dropped all mention of how often the complication was occurring. Instead, it just updated its weekly summary to say cases were 'very rare' and 'typically mild'.

One cardiologist said he believed it the change in tone may signal that the body was going to accept a link between the two vaccines and myocarditis.

Other experts warned it further complicated the debate about vaccinating children in Britain.

I personally think the urgency is more to do getting as many as possible jabbed before the inevitable winter flu season arrives and the death toll skyrockets.any backlash will be minimal once people see the death toll rising and come to the conclusion they are next and how long have they got left to live, rioting will be the least of their worries

It might also be due to implementing the booster shot idea. Running out of time before onset of winter as Whathefox said

I don't think that's responsible of Coleman. It's just more division which some people lap up.

In Spain I have worn a mask inside and out because I will be finded 100 euros each time I am caught

by totalitarian police for not wearing one. I don't have enough money to pay these fines.

So I will be dead or demented in 10 years according to Vernon Coleman. I think not.

Tomorrow the law in Spain changes. Outside people don't have to wear a mask but it is mandatory to have a mask on your person. Talk about continued control!.  The Government of andalucia where I live doesn't support the entral Government's edit and strongly advises everyone to continue with the fucking mask outside.

For almost the first time in a year I will walk out proudly without a mask, but I expect 95% of people will not and I will let you know the reactions.

Appreciating the financial risks response is probably common amomg the masked. Me too
