Plus we had the substation fire near Heathrow which prompted a 24-hour shutdown of the whole airport. Even though it's claimed there are 2 other such substations and they would have provided enough power to keep the place operational. Then today another substation fire/explosion in London. The temp goes up (ie summer arrives) and...whoosh. Wouldn't be surprised if these substations are neglected, and/or maintained by people who don't do their jobs properly.
