In my opinion, younger people are more likely to go out and vote, especially when it's their first chance to do so. It's the older people, who've gone through the 'churn' a few times already, who have worked out that voting is futile.

But due to social engineering and our education system, these youngsters are more likely to vote for 'left-wing' parties. 🙄

Lowering the voting age to 16 at the next election increases the electorate by a few million, that's a few million more Labour votes, or at least that's what they're expecting to happen.

    Bingo.

  2. Footage posted elsewhere on here makes for curious viewing. Well, I say curious but it's obvious there's a difference between what actually happened and how it's been reported by the usual outlets.

A year ago we had all those "riots" that the Gov and media were trying desperately to whip up into a frenzy. Threats of calling in the army to restore order, etc.

It's too serious to be funny but it is laughable how the funny people bus in their rent-a-mobs like this for all occasions and get the police to work on their behalf.

Normally don't give a shit about the news, but the Epstein/ child trafficking is one thing I get suckered into as it gets my goat.

Excuse my language here, but no other way to say it. Trump is a disgusting kunt...

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/jul/16/donald-trump-dismisses-inquiry-into-jeffrey-epstein-as-boring

Trump calls Epstein conspiracy a ‘hoax’ and turns on Maga ‘weaklings’

Seems like it's too close to the truth for DJT.

Southgate was always a psy-op, he was never there to manage the team or win trophies, he was there to emasculate the game from the top down, supporters included.

Yup. Job done. Nevermind the total failure to win anything, blowing the Euros final at the altar of diversity, and stinking out the last Euros with the worst football by any team. He did what was asked. And then, just to rub the fans' noses in it, they chose a German next!

(I don't mind Thomas the Tank Engine, he seems an okay bloke. He's there for the money and to try and win the World Cup, then he sods off into the sunset).

I was just going to write about John Turode being sacked .. and saw this on Greg Wallace, that I must have forgot to ‘post’ !

    Greg Wallace

“The chair of the creative industries watchdog has criticised TV bosses for not acting earlier to address allegations of misconduct about the presenter Greg Wallace. It comes after 50 more people approached the BBC making fresh claims about him. Mr Wallace who is understood to have been sacked from Master Chef denies the claims against him”

All this fuss over a fucking cookery show that's long past its sell by date anyway.

Or is it just because these two blokes are "hideously white" as the saying goes.

  6. I don't think it is that ridiculous, well maybe something's down there but they don't want people to know as it wouldn't follow the official narrative.

People were speculating exactly that when the Titan thing happened. Because no way some DIY suicide sub would have got as far as it did, getting people to pay for sightseeing trips underwater.

A few years ago at the height of the scamdemic, the "inventors" of the jab were given seats in the royal box and treated to a standing ovation.

That should be put alongside British sportsmen giving the Nazi salute at the 1936 Olympics.

Of course they want to do it all again. They're still pissed off it didn't work quite as well as they wanted last time.

Meanwhile blood poisoning victims and suicidal postmasters continue to be fobbed off.

Significant that they chose Cardiff of all places to begin the tour? That place is full of symbolism and dark power.

It's not like they're Welsh or something. Manchester or Liverpool would have been a natural venue.

  10. Always sad to see someone cut off in their prime. Jota had just won the Premier league and the Nations League, so was still at his peak. That's a terrible thing. But the OTT responses by the public about famous people dying seems to go back to Princess Di in '97. Well before social media.

Celebrity in general gets far too much coverage and attention. Who's done this, who's said that, squabbles and spats and gossip. It's not a part of my life, but clearly enough people get off on it for that to continue.

As mentioned in the Liverpool thread, Jota is a rare case of a top footballer dying while they were still playing at elite level. I'd expect LFC fans to be very upset, and football fans everywhere a bit shocked for a while. But perspective is always lost in today's world.

  11. Would not surprise me at all. The whole DJT phenomenon seems to be some kind of multi-layered psyop.

The POTUS who 1st time made a virtue of not going to war or showing military aggression to any nation, now seems happy to bomb anything he fancies and stoke up tensions across the world in his 2nd term.

how weird back in may I posted "its always the supporters who kop it unlike manu" then one of their players is taken.

I dont think this has happened before to someone playing in football? In england...(I think someone got shot after scoring an own goal at the world cup in america.)

seems liverpool pay for success with blood sacrifice. I expect them to dominate football for the foreseeable now.

Yeah, it's odd how Liverpool success seems to come at a (human/blood) price. Man City won 4 titles in a row and nothing happened. Only similar thing was Leicester...their owner and his family died in the helicopter just after leaving the ground, the following season from their title win.

Can't recall an active player in a top team dying like this. Way back, Laurie Cunningham was killed in a road accident, having left to play for Madrid...but dunno if it was after he retired. Then there was the French guy who played for the Hammers, who died on the pitch (not Muamba).
