  1. also, found this https://www.openrightsgroup.org/blog/online-abuse-why-management-liability-isnt-the-answer/ in it there is a paragraph which looks to be another attempt to end online encryption "Before the Bill even exists in law, we are already seeing calls for the “duty of care”, and the subjective risks within it, to be dragged down a very slippery slope. For example, a report from the Centre for Social Justice think tank, headed by former Home Secretary Sajid Javid, calls for Ofcom (the upcoming online harms regulator) to “treat high-risk design features like end-to-end encryption as breaches of the Duty of Care and sanctions should be able to apply retroactively.” The report also notes that “It will be insufficient for a platform to argue that introducing such a high-risk design feature will have other benefits in spaces like user privacy and preventing online financial crime.”
  2. unfortunately I have come to the conclusion the majority of the UK public either does not care or are happy with what's going on, there is really not a lot of pushback from the general public to this as we have seen with the recent council elections, even though the tories took away lots of freedoms they still managed to gain 235 extra councillors and 13 councils. As a few people have recently stated, "A Chinese virus a chinese society" I also found this interesting, https://www.adamsmith.org/news/online-safety-bill-frightening-and-historic-attack-on-freedom-of-expression
  3. been thinking, does any of this sound plausible? according to the below link, their have been reports of a supposed leaked memo from china in 2015 which had discussions concerning weaponising the corona virus for biological warfare https://www.news.com.au/world/coronavirus/leaked-chinese-document-reveals-a-sinister-plan-to-unleash-coronaviruses/news-story/53674e8108ad5a655e07e990daa85465 Now, if this turns out to be true, the following link shows that in 2020 every country's economy has fallen, except one, china https://www.imf.org/en/Publications/WEO/Issues/2020/09/30/world-economic-outlook-october-2020 Now, if china did engineer a virus and then released it into the wild, they would know what is in it and have been researching what it does to people, if that is true, is this the real reason china are not currently using MRNA?, via this link https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-04-14/a-missed-opportunity-saw-china-fall-behind-on-covid-vaccines There has also been a study to suggest that the MRNA spike protein could damage cells, via this link, although it says the jab spike protein acts differently, as its new tech, not a lot is known at the moment https://www.salk.edu/news-release/the-novel-coronavirus-spike-protein-plays-additional-key-role-in-illness/ just thoughts, I do think china at the very least should be a target or suspicion from the west. I also find it interesting that at the start of this (Jan - March 2020) china posted social media clips of people fainting etc in the streets that over hyped the propaganda that covid was far more serious than it was, was it for example a trap to nudge the west to use for example a jab with say MRNA that they new could cause harm because they engineered a virus type scenario.
  4. For those who don't know or do know, liveleak was a video streaming platform that had a reputation for hosting uncensored world event videos has suddenly shut down on May 6th, According to the podcast from the owner below, he is trying to convey that it was his decision, two things, one, in the live chat one or two people asked if "UK government was after him" he did not refer or answer these comments, secondly, time 20.35 - 21.18 he said the following "the worlds changing, the internet is changing, people are changing, everything is different now, everything moves on, I don't like it, i liked it much better when it was the wild west, believe me, if it was left up to me, and it was only my say, liveleak would have been shutdown by governments in 2008, but the world moves on right". Make of that what you will, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb6SRT5BzLI In its place the owner has set up a new site, which is going to be more restrictive than liveleak, if you look at the t&C, https://www.itemfix.com/faq

  7. I think what really is destroying humanity and also the Internet are smartphones, in the early days we had the Internet on a computer in one room, we could leave our house without it and it was a novel entity, we were not reliant on it but we could explore different websites, now, we have smartphones with its own tracking device, apps that centralise everything and also phones that tell you what you can install, if the Internet stopped working today, i think for some people, they would realise there is no value in social media, social media is only valuable because it is free, if you had to pay for it people would not use it. Unfortunately Society would certainly falter as so many things are reliant on computer systems communicating with each other, I do though think some people would adapt.
