I was considering trying to flee to Australia, but the police out there have gone absolutely crazy over this fake virus.They were always a bit OTT like the UK from what I heard but this took many people by surprise including myself. I once went to a few meet-ups on meetup.com they had an atheist meet up I went to a few times and a libertarian meet up that some interesting guest speakers. No one has complained at me yet, both COOP and sainsbury near me are not enforcing the mask BS. Had a few Karen's give me dirty looks and stop and stare at me and shake their heads but that is about all. I will tell them what they can do with a mask if they do mention it. I am yet to travel back in to London and I am sure that will be a complete hassle when I do finally go back in. If European countries are seeing reductions in literacy rates this is because of mass immigration and not because of the internet. The internet has opened up information, like the printing press before it, to people in all different types of new ways. Saying that the internet is destroying journalism as a concept is fascicle like saying that cars are putting the horses out of work. Journalism was in decline before the internet expanded in to what it is today, it sort of peaked in the 90s in its credibility and has been in decline ever since. The days of respected New York times columnists has been replaced with woke green haired activists fresh out of university. They have paved the road to their own destruction and now finding blame in the competition. People are still paying subscriptions for what they consider to be quality journalism in this day age. The news remains a big business which new media will gladly fill the void of when the legacy media gives up. It is up the new media to create their own respected journalists and quality media that people will be willing to pay for.
