  1. I read all three of these books as part of my English class at school ... different days
  2. You can't beat a good rant. Shakes off the cobwebs
  3. What are these things you talk of... Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Messenger? Are they some kind of cults turning members into fully compliant zombies? Do they exist in an alternative reality that I am unaware of? Are they all part of the same thing? Are they good for your mental health? Can you be physically active when taking part? Are they run for the people by the people? Am I missing out on some of life's most exciting adventures by not being there? Or are they just a gigantic heap of crap?
  4. With all the new rules and laws on "hate" speech I think we are all guilty of something now according to the powers that be.
  5. Is it not obvious why he was arrested? It was for crimes against hairstyles and fashion
  6. The statistics quoted on the bbc news were compiled by the John Hopkins university in the USA. These figures are about as reliable as the ones projected by the now forgotten son of imperial college London, the artist formerly known as 'professor ' Neil Ferguson. In other words... not.worth reading
  7. Tell this to a woman and see if she agrees...lol
  8. What track is it from.the album? Some good tracks on the dejavu album...carry on, our.house, almost cut my hair, and teach your children. A throwback to a happier world
  9. The masque of anarchy has been quoted at so many speeches over the years. In Tiananmen Square China and in Tahir Square Egypt during protests and Ghandi was often heard quoting the poem in his speeches. Even Jeremy Corbyn quoted it on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury. Uk politicians have been using quotes from the poem by Percy Bysshe Shelly for many many years. Some useless information for you
  10. If this is the new normal then I am more than happy to be insane
  11. The words "I don't fit in" really resonate with me. All my life I've felt like i was on the outside looking in. Through school I became more and more insular always distant and feeling lost. As I moved into the workplace I became even more disenchanted until I could take no more. So I saved up my money and decided to go and find myself. I visited many countries (Kashmir, Nepal, Morocco, Ceylon to name a few) I experienced things I never knew existed, new cultures, ancient beliefs, different ways of living and although I had many wonderful moments I still felt I didn't belong or fit in. I did this for years before coming home to my family. I was a changed person and slowly my friends disappeared one by one. I experienced a severe breakdown around 20 years ago and ended up living like a hermit. I will cut a very long story short lol.... in the end what I realised was that what I'd been looking for all my life already existed within me. I started to study, practice and teach meditation and although I still see myself as alone in the world i am at peace and i accept myself as i am. I live with an open mind and open heart and try to act with kindness in all that I do. I think if we can accept who we are and experience the power of love in our hearts we won't go far wrong in life. May all beings everywhere be happy and free from suffering. Best Wishes
  12. It was good to see David in the public eye and as always he was a brilliant speaker. Long may he continue
  13. I've spent several nights in the discomfort of a jail cell over the years. I always found them to be a great source of reflection on where your life is going. Although I must add that the hospitality left a lot to be desired and the staff were anything but friendly
  14. The video is on davidicke.com I just watched it again
  15. If there is a God and I don't believe there is for a minute then she's definitely a woman. I mean look at the state of the world. That's the work of a woman if ever I saw it lol and I'm not being sexist or any other 'ist' ... im just having a sense of humour omg they're coming to take me away haha they're coming to take me away ✌
  16. I would recommend a book called True Love - A Practice for Awakening the Heart by Thich Nhat Hanh. A short book (120 pages) which gives some insight into the beliefs of this zen master and a great introduction to his many writings. You can carry it around with you and just open a page and you will find little gems of wisdom. He writes in a simple, flowing way and his words come from an open heart. When you awaken your heart to true love it changes the way you perceive yourself and the world around you. The heart is the central point of our very being and all that is good is to be found there. The chakra of Anahata...the green emerald heart.... Whenever I think of Thich Nhat Hanh I think of simplicity, peace, kindness and love.
  17. You can't beat the feel and smell of a real book I have 900 ebooks haven't read one. I have 400+ real books I've read them all
  18. I think the name YouTube is self explanatory lol
  19. There's something strangely comforting about that picture
  20. "Silence Must Be Heard" Look into the others eyes, many frustrations Read between the lines, no words just vibrations Don't ignore hidden desires Pay attention, you're playing with fire Silence must be heard, noise should be observed The time has come to learn, that silence ... Silence must be heard Or diamonds will burn, friendly cards will turn Cause silence has the right to be heard People talk too much for what they have to say Words without a meaning, just fading away Silence must be heard, noise should be observed The time has come to learn, that silence ... Silence must be heard Or diamonds will burn, friendly cards will turn Cause silence has the right to be heard - Enigma
  21. No I didn't lol i was just aware and spotted the ridiculous behaviour and bad manners of a woman who hardly listened to a word David Icke said. And I said so as it is my right to have an opinion. As it is your right to have an opinion.
