It was a bit more like, cultivate, nurture take care and appreciate what you have, rather than chase, wish.for what you don't have. It's amazing how much expansion and joy can come from what you already have. Similarly it's amazing how deliberating and miserable it can make you, wanting and wishing for things you don't have.....

I'm someone who takes words literally. Omission for me personally is different to censorship. I understand it's probably a fine line and wouldn't want to argue about it. But it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that now the west are supporting Ukraine that they don't report the worst of Ukraine. It's normal to do this. Would it make much difference to you personally? If Ukraine had joined NATO I could understand your point. The us response to Cuban missile crisis was completely different, I don't remember a 3 year war of attrition and 1 million deaths.

Yes NATO is supporting Ukraine because it was invaded. Yes NATO has expanded but not to Ukraine. They're not a member. So what u ask? Well NATO expansion was your reasoning and justification for the war, but they didn't expand to Ukraine as mentioned. Using your curious examples, how would the English like it if the Americans invaded the whole of UK because of northern Ireland, not very much......but better to deal with the actual situation than hypothetical ones...
