  3. Lack of vaccine uptake cited as one of the reasons I been talking about this for a while. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-15035953/cancer-research-uk-shock-report-risk.html Cancer timebomb by 2040....
  4. I can kind of smell things brewing a little bit. Not civil war that's quite extreme.. But the economy doesn't look good. Serious talks in serious newspapers about IMF bailout soon if things don't change. They're stirring up trouble with the immigrant thing and Farage the cheerleader is appearing everywhere. Pretty sure immigrant will be the economic fall guy here yes that old chestnut.... Who knows, just speculating
  5. I started work at 8 years old washing cars in my area.. I think if young o People need money they just go and work for it. I hear a lot of complaints life is harder now than before. This is not my experience. When I was growing up, life was a real struggle for most, and class structure was a thing and opportunities very limited for someone like me. I was meant to be a tradesman or factory worker. Now opportunities are essentially limitless for young people.. ..
  6. What do sad people have in common? It seems they have all built a shrine To the past And often go there And do a strange wail and worship. What is the beginning of happiness? It is to stop being So religious Like that. Hafiz
  7. Very interesting reading this. Regarding problem solving abilities. I personally found MASSIVE difference between large companies and small companies. The large ones people really don't think for themselves at all. But really small ones there's nowhere to hide and you work directly with the owners who are usually very demanding....

  9. Don't know if this helps anyone... Dealing with intrusive thoughts. Instead of fighting them. Just don't get involved at all. Observe them let them be. When they pass choose a different thought you'd like to replace it with. Now "choosing" replacement thoughts maybe an illusion in itself, but nevertheless; we experience the process and get to participate.
  10. Interesting we are seeing similar. Another thing to note. Is banter and fun has been removed. No one going for drinks together etc. no bonding. On a positive note as not all bad, I have seen negative sexual banter towards women removed. This used to be commonplace in the offices. @Mitochondrial Eve
  11. The BOE also just lowered interest rates, so expect worse ahead

    A HUMOUR THREAD

A wise man was once asked if he believed in the concept of free will. "Of course!", he replied without hesitation, "What choice do I have?"
  13. Just Rd this myself... Major changes I have seen, like you say communication mainly. Genuine lack of care for colleagues or the company itself. Everyone walking on egg shells regarding what words they use. Extreme lack of initiative vs before. If everything isn't laid out just go to HR. People work much less hard and much less hours than before.
  14. Job lost all, Christ surrendered all. In the stripping, God gives vision: “Now mine eye seeth Thee.” (Job 42:5)
  15. Has anyone tried white noise machine?
  16. Internet nonsense for me.....if we're talking about anything like a civil war that has occured in history. Future unrest, sure, civil war, no .....
