Some of my friends had to get circumcised for medical reasons. No biggy, its not like it ruined their lives or anything.

Circumcision is not part of the christian belief system. It is part of the jewish belief system
It was only Paul who said it wasnt required, not Jesus or his disciple. Paul was annoyed by the amount of people in Rome who wanted to become fully jewish, like Jesus was, and so he came up with the circumcision of the heart nonsense. He probably realise that he would get more people through the door by not requiring it.

Its one thing to admire a person who loves their country but when that means killing people for just being different, or wanting their wealth, then its not a good thing. Hitler has a messiah complex. When you consider some pilots who knocked out hundreds of tanks, each with 3-4 people in them, have killed probably hundreds of people because they followed the commands of somebody who 'loved' their country. There are individual German and Austrian snipers who killed hundreds of people for basically an evil cause, though they may have initially thought they were in the right.

My experience is that Roman Catholicism still is very functional, meaning those ordinary nobodies who sit in church on Sunday actually live inside a higher state of Consciousness and are in touch with God, and will survive death. I was slightly surprised to see this.But Catholicism is handed down in families for many generations, and many Catholics do a great deal of praying, a great deal ... something modern people just don't understand at all. I dont think such things disappear in their entirety. What you find is the elements that form the kernel of truth will remain while all the other accretions will be lost.
Any religion that fails to off some sort of intimate connection to God is basically theatre, which is all some people want. Personally I see such a connection that allows people to surpass the boundaries of the more dogmatic approach so that they can recognise the divinity of others in touch with the spirit, though they may be from other backgrounds. The doctrines are more of a map than a destination.

Who said freemasonry is layers of deceit? why should that be so? because they have various degrees? thats just graded learning. The problem if you dont do something like that is many people will just want to focus of what they think is the best and highest without learning other important info and experiences from what they might think is lower. People have to build on layers of experience, a building is made from bottom to top and needs a strong foundation. Same with our characters, they need to be reshaped so that they provide a more stable structure for the higher experiences.
