He drove straight south to the WRONG Las Vegas.
Not many Americans I know would make that mistake, UNLESS the Cybertruck drove itself and was programmed to the wrong Las Vegas.
He had a MUCH more direct route but instead he had to stop 8 times to recharge!

Livelsberger died by suicide, the corner ruled. Police investigators said he shot himself moments before the explosion outside the Las Vegas hotel. A handgun was found near his feet inside the burned-out vehicle.
It wasn’t yet clear how Livelsberger detonated the explosives in the back of the Cybertruck, investigators said. But Kenny Cooper, assistant agent in charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ San Francisco Field Division, said they did little damage, and a number of unexploded fuels and mortars were found in the truck.
“The level of sophistication is not what we would expect from an individual with this type of military experience,” Cooper said during Thursday’s news conference.

There's video out there of an electric car catching fire by itself, and it looks nothing like the explosion in Los Vegas.

One person died and seven others were injured Wednesday when a Tesla truck caught fire and exploded outside of President-elect Donald Trump’s Las Vegas hotel, authorities said.
Tesla founder Elon Musk said the incident was caused by explosives in the back of the truck and NBC News reported terrorism is suspected.
The Las Vegas incident occurred just hours after a driver plowed into New Year’s Eve Revell’s in New Orleans and what authorities called a clear terror attack.
Las Vegas police and Clark County fire officials said at a news conference the person who died was inside the vehicle. The others received only minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
