  1. The Australian Federal Government passed the Digital ID Bill 2024 on 16 May 2024.

The soon-to-be Digital ID Act 2024 (Cth) (Act) paves the way for a national Digital ID system, that will, when implemented, allow individuals to verify their identity for online transactions with government agencies and businesses without having to hand over any unnecessary personal information.

  2. Jewish lawyer is questioned by police over wearing a Star of David necklace that 'antagonised' pro-Palestinian protesters during demo

    By CIARAN FOREMAN, TRAINEE REPORTER

    18:59 18 Oct 2025, updated 19:02 18 Oct 2025

A Jewish lawyer was questioned by police after wearing a Star of David necklace which officers claimed 'antagonised' pro-Palestine supporters during a demonstration.

Officers interrogated the man at Hammersmith Police Station in west London over the silver 2cm Judaic symbol after he was arrested for alleged Public Order breaches on August 29.

At one point, the questioning detective says officers noted in their statements that they believed the 'presence' of the Star of David could cause 'offence' to those who had gathered at the protest.

The lawyer, a man in his 40s, was arrested outside the Israeli embassy in Kensington, where a pro-Palestine march had descended that evening.

He claims to have been acting as an independent spectator, watching the protest for illegal behaviour by participants and to observe how police responded to challenges on the ground.

However, the Metropolitan Police say he had allegedly 'gone beyond observing to provoking' pro-Palestinian supporters and was arrested on suspicion of violating conditions that had been put in place to keep opposing protest groups apart.

The man was then reportedly detained for nearly 10 hours at the station before being released at around 4.30am the following day.

The Met say their investigation into the incident is continuing, but the lawyer - who has chosen to remain anonymous over fears for his safety - has accused the police of trying to 'criminalise the wearing of a Star of David'.

So let's get it straight, the man was arrested on the streets of Britain, for wearing a religious symbol that offended a mob, protesting for a proscribed terrorist group, possibly chanting 'from the river to the sea' and 'death to the IDF'

He offended them, and its the Police duty to protect the protesters from being offended while calling for the destruction of Israel.

    Ok then.

  3. Don't know a great deal about this

    I'm reading up on it.

    From Wiki -

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is an international financial institution and a specialized agency of the United Nations, headquartered in Washington, D.C. It consists of 191 member countries, and its stated mission is "working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world."[1]

The IMF acts as a lender of last resort to its members experiencing actual or potential balance of payments crises.[9]

Ok, where does the money come from?

Through a quota system, countries contribute funds to a pool from which they can borrow if they experience balance-of-payments problems; a country's quota also determines its voting power.[12] As a condition for loans, the IMF often requires borrowing countries to undertake policy reforms, known as structural adjustment.[13] The organization also provides technical assistance and economic surveillance of its members' economies.[14]

    How much does UK pay?

The UK contributes to the IMF through member country quotas, with a current maximum commitment of approximately £31.64 billion (SDR 30.2 billion) after a recent increase. This amount is based on the UK's economic size and serves as the country's legislative ceiling for lending to the IMF. Additionally, the UK has made specific, separate pledges to provide funding for IMF trusts, such as a $670 million pledge to the Poverty Reduction and Growth Trust.

    IMF quota subscription
The UK's contribution is based on its quota, determined by its economic size.

A recent draft order increased the UK's subscription ceiling to SDR 30.2 billion, which was approximately £31.64 billion at the time.

This commitment allows the UK to lend to the IMF, which in turn provides financial assistance to other countries in need.

    According to AI -

    How it works:

This is a commitment ceiling for potential financing, not an upfront payment. The IMF can call on these funds through quota subscriptions when needed, which are essentially loans that can be refunded.

So do we actually give this money to IMF who put it in an account in case we, or other countries want to borrow?

Do we just 'set aside' the money in case some country needs to borrow it?

Do we have 10's of billions of pounds in an IMF account from paying in yearly?

Do we have 31.64 Billion pounds in a holding account somewhere for this year's contribution?

Do we get our money back?

If there is a succession of collapses in countries who borrow from the UK through the IMF, and it triggers a global collapse, can the IMF still bail us out?

I'm not getting this arrangement, seems simple but how does it actually work, do we physically pay the money or just pledge it?

If its pledged, where is it held and what happens to it?

Do we just have Billions of pounds in an account that periodically we have to increase with new quota but otherwise its completely untouched?

Are we owed anything from giving assistance previously to other countries.

South American countries owe the IMF 162 Billion dollars. Who does the IMF owe that money to?

Can anyone explain it to me?

  4. Reports claim Vietnam has shut down 86 million bank accounts because users refused to link them to the new Digital ID system.

Critics warn this is a preview of what could happen worldwide.

“We saw the same control during Covid, one step at a time. First it’s convenience… then it’s compliance.”

Concerns are rising that Digital IDs could decide what we buy, where we travel, even what we eat.

    As one speaker said:

“Cash is freedom and it’s slipping away"

  6. Rachel Reeves skewered by Liz Truss on GB News with 'out of touch' jibe

Liz Truss appeared on GB News on Friday evening and didn't hold back in her distaste for Chancellor Rachel Reeves.

Former Prime Minister Liz Truss has made it glaringly obvious that she didn't want to come face-to-face with Rachel Reeves.

Speaking on GB News' The Late Show LIVE with Bev Turner, Truss was told that Reeves was also in town, prompting the former PM to say: "I managed to avoid her, I'm pleased to say."

Truss explained that she had discovered they would be in the same location while she was on the plane. She said: "I'd forgotten to be honest, it was the IMF. I'm not a fan of the IMF, the world bank and all these international bodies that are out of touch frankly with the rest of the world.

"So it was no surprise that Rachel Reeves, who is one of their true believers, was here."

She was asked about her references to the "deep state", adding: "You've talked about the deep state, you've talked about how you were hounded out of office by forces beyond your control. Is she part of that?"

Truss added: "Correct, she is." She went on to explain that it was the Bank of England who were responsible for the market crisis in 2022, which she said they admitted.

The former PM claimed they were "in cahoots with the IMF, the world bank, Joe Biden," adding: "And Rachel Reeves is part of that way of thinking."

But she fumed that Reeves' support of more taxes, more regulation, net zero is a model that "isn't working". Truss claimed that the only country moving ahead is the US.

She claimed there is a problem with the "left-wing economists being in charge".

Labour slammed for ‘dictator’ approach as farmland is lost to UK’s biggest solar project

EXCLUSIVE: The government has been slammed by locals, politicians and campaigners for approving a 3,000 acre solar project on UK farmland.

The government has been labelled a “dictatorship” by furious campaigners after Energy Secretary Ed Miliband pushed through the UK’s biggest-ever solar farm on agricultural land. The Tillbridge Solar Project was approved by Labour for a 3,000-acre site in Lincolnshire this week despite widespread opposition from councillors, MPs and landowners who risk losing business from the government's latest stride towards its Net Zero goals. Nick Hill, 55, a first-generation farmer in West Lindsey, Gainsborough, could be most impacted by the development, with a potential cable corridor for the project earmarked for the middle of his newly-acquired estate.

The renewable energy project’s status as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) means those behind it can apply for Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO), effectively leaving Mr Hill no choice but to take the compensation. “I bought all the land we have here myself, and I’m quite proud of that,” he told the Express. “People might think it’s crazy, going into farming when there’s so little money to be had, but it’s something I wanted to do. If they get permission to put cables under the fields, it will massively impact our future here.”

It comes amid continued criticism of the government’s introduction of a 20% inheritance tax on agricultural land worth over £1 million, replacing the exemption currently in place. Labour says the change will only impact the country’s 500 wealthiest farmers but the Country Land and Business Association estimates that up to 70,000 farms could be affected overall. The Daily Express has called for a U-turn on the policy as part of the Save Britain’s Family Farms campaign.

I’ll carry on fighting but I’ve got a strong feeling we’ll be handed a CPO at any minute,” Mr Hill added. “It’s so frustrating. And it’s not just this project either - there are three other NSIP solar farms in West Lindsey, which will add up to 10,000 acres of land lost to panels. I think it’s ridiculous.

“What if there’s a war and we can’t get any food in from abroad? Where’s the security? I despair with Ed Miliband who’s giving rich developers exactly what they want on a plate. It feels a lot like a David versus Goliath battle that I’m fighting. It doesn’t seem like we’re being heard at all.”

Alongside Tillbridge, the Gate Burton and Cottam solar projects have also been approved in Lincolnshire since Labour came to power, with the nearby West Burton Solar Park still in the pipeline. All four of the proposals include arable farmland and collectively total around 10,000 acres.

“The government’s meant to work for us,” Simon Skelton, of local campaign group 7000 Acres, said. “But it feels like a Net Zero dictatorship at the moment. Labour are zealots and they’re approving these projects on an ideological basis, not a practical one.”

Mr Skelton said Lincolnshire has become a microcosm of the problem he thinks will soon be facing the entire British countryside - hundreds of thousands of acres packed with solar panels, with near-unanimous backlash brushed aside by the decision makers.

They’re gaslighting the public,” he added. “They keep saying it will be less than 1% of land, but I’d say that up to 20% of the farmland in my area is being lost to solar. There has been no compromise or compassion for the people impacted by these massive schemes. You come to live in the countryside for a reason - you don’t come here to be in a solar desert.”

Alongside Tillbridge, the Gate Burton and Cottam solar projects have also been approved in Lincolnshire since Labour came to power, with the nearby West Burton Solar Park still in the pipeline. All four of the proposals include arable farmland and collectively total around 10,000 acres.

The Tillbridge project will be larger than any existing solar farm in the UK once built and is just the latest of its kind to be greenlit by Mr Miliband, many of which will be developed in eastern England, a region targeted for its low population, high levels of sunshine and cheap agricultural land.

The Energy Secretary published a “solar roadmap” in June, laying out plans for further increases in solar energy production, including an increase of existing capacity from 18 gigawatts to 57 gigawatts within five years.

The Energy Secretary published a “solar roadmap” in June, laying out plans for further increases in solar energy production, including an increase of existing capacity from 18 gigawatts to 57 gigawatts within five years.

“If these projects all go ahead, I’ll see solar panels everywhere I drive,” he added. “It’s a horrendous thought. They should be making this shift gradually and gently, to see if we can manage, not putting all their eggs straight into one basket. It’s zealotry - virtue signalling on a grand scale.”

Sir Edward Leigh, Conservative MP for Gainsborough, struck a similar tone, criticising Mr Miliband for being out of step with the local consensus.

“We are totally opposed to these massive solar farms being approved without any local impact,” he said. “Ed Miliband is acting like a dictator and industrialising our countryside, taking food farmland out of agricultural production. These solar farms combined amount to some 10,000 acres around Gainsborough. That’s enough land to feed a city the size of Hull. This is a travesty.”

Sean Matthews, leader of Reform UK-run Lincolnshire Council, which objected to the development, also described its approval on a government level as “appalling”.

“This solar factory will be the biggest in the UK and absolutely dwarf nearby villages, destroying the character of the area and eating up high-quality agricultural land that the UK needs for its food security,” he said.

The farmer in this article is an enemy of National Renewal.

All decent fair minded people agree, energy bills are to high, climate change needs to be addressed and Britain must be a green super power.

This farmer stands between progress and must not be allowed to dictate his greedy views above decent fair minded people.

  8. All valid points but when its a Muslim MP that started the petition.

An MP starting the petition not because of a few violent supporters but because -

Birmingham’s Ayoub Khan, tweeted how delighted he is that his petition to have Maccabi Tel Aviv’s fans banned from Aston Villa’s Europa League Fixture next month has been successful.

Just stop and think about that for a second. A Muslim MP has successfully campaigned to have Israeli football fans banned from a football match because of their religion. He also said on Newsnight that the Israeli team shouldn’t even be allowed to play in the competition.

So, what this racist moron is saying is that Muslims in his city will attack and harm visiting Jews. And to make matters worse, the Chief Constable of West Midlands Police, Craig Guildford, says he can’t keep Israeli fans safe. Really?

A police boss admitting he can’t police his own city. Mind you, this is the same police force which last year looked the other way when Muslim gangs terrorised the streets with knives and machetes. His excuse? The rioters didn’t want to be policed.

Imagine the outrage if a Muslim team’s football fans had been banned because people from another religion were threatening them. The wokerati and the Left would be choking on their own bile and screaming “Islamophobia”.

But hey, when its Jews being excluded – that’s OK. Here in Britain, we’re forever banging on about how racism must be crushed. Yet it’s happening in front of our eyes courtesy of a vile, sectarian, Islamist MP, made even more vile because he supports first cousin marriages.

This man is the personification of racism – he’s literally saying who can and can’t come into this country based on their religion – and so far, Starmer’s done sod all about it. Ayoub Khan should be suspended and kicked out of politics

    Daily Express Opinion.

One has to wonder, was this simply a Public Order decision.

Starmer and many others say its the wrong decision.

    It seems politically motivated.

    Yeah me to.

I hate to go there, but this reminds me of Hitler, National Socialism.

Starmer came into power with a manifesto to control immigration, it was sold to us as smash the boats.

Which inferred getting control of immigration with deportations of some description.

The first thing he actually does is reset EU relationship. He said 'the British people are so over Brexit'

Are we? What polls is he looking at, why not quote them. Unless its just his opinion.

    There hasn't been much smashing?

    They still coming.

But now we find out he has no plans to deport any of them.

Disagreeing with his policy now makes us an Enemy of National Renewal.

    What is this National Renewal?

Why didn't we vote on it?

    Who decides its policies?

How long before his idea of 'National Renewal' becomes the law and anyone who disagrees is not an enemy of National Renewal philosophy, but a legitimate Enemy of the State.

It doesn’t happen over night, but it always has to start somewhere.

I actually agree with you,  from my perspective the woman are being oppressed as I said to @honzam on the 13 /9 /25 and according to your post you have been placed in a unique position to personally experience both sides or the argument first hand. I would ask however what about the women in Muslim countries that have not had the luxury of looking in from the outside so to speak and have been solely  exposed to to the Islamic faith for their entire existence, would they feel oppressed? ,I think it would depend entirely on your personal perspective and individual circumstances, and that's what I've being saying all along.

Personally i think yes, even if some women hadn't experienced a moderate Islam, their mothers would know, they would see family photographs and ask questions, so they would feel oppressed.

Look at Iran, moderate in the 60's, after the coup it went hard line.

However, give it another generation or two and then the women of Iran will have only known extreme Isalm and will then believe that its always been that way.

Then the transformation will be complete, Islam will have changed from a moderate religion into an extreme religion that seeks to control the world under Sharia.

  11. Labour have rewritten the MP's job description, there is no longer a requirement to represent the constituents views.

Our MP's will only be required to support and represent their parties views.

He's changing the rules, he's stacking power against us.

Its clear he wants bureaucracy to rule every aspect of society while being unaccountable to us.

  12. KHADIJA KHAN: Despite what Sadiq Khan claims, we ARE creeping towards Islamic law

I wish I could say I was surprised by this shocking and shameful event.

But, sadly, I'm not. I see the exclusion of women from a Muslim charity fun run in Victoria Park, Tower Hamlets, as the inevitable consequence of our obsession with multiculturalism.

This ruinous creed has quietly normalised the oppression of women when it occurs under the banner of Islam.

Last month, President Trump warned that the UK was sliding towards a culture of sharia law – a claim dismissed as 'appalling and bigoted' by a spokesman for London Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan.

And, of course, in this country we don't officially have sharia law but we are creeping towards a society that is compliant with its values.

Yes, misogyny exists everywhere. But we're usually quick to call it out, whether it's a sexist advert on the London Underground or discrimination in the workplace.

Only when it's Islamic misogyny do we fall silent, excusing it as a cultural issue.

Ask yourself: how long would a Jewish or Christian run excluding women go ahead without sparking national outrage? That this event is taking place in Hackney – heartland of London's progressive hipster set – only adds insult to injury.

The coconut cappuccino brigade would be first in line to boast of their feminist credentials, just not when Muslim women are being excluded by their own community.

This isn't just hypocrisy, but a betrayal. A betrayal of these women who are denied the basic freedoms most others take for granted. It's infantilising, too – the unspoken suggestion that Muslim communities are somehow incapable of adapting to the secular, democratic values of wider society.

The liberal Left may not want to hear it, but there is a straight line between a seemingly innocent charity run and the horrors of so-called honour killings, or even the grooming gangs scandal.

These are not isolated incidents. They stem from the same toxic ideology, that women are inherently 'less'.

So yes, I'm outraged. But I'm also profoundly saddened – because behind the headlines are thousands of women and girls still denied the freedom to run, swim, cycle or enjoy the simplest pleasures of life.

I know, because I was one of them. Growing up in a strict Muslim household in Pakistan, I remember the joy of riding my bike in the street.

But when I complained to my father that a group of boys had jeered at me for being so permissive, he told me in no uncertain terms that I was the problem and banned me from cycling ever again. I was eight years old.

It would take another two decades – and a move to Germany in my late 20s, leaving behind both my family and my religion – before I rode a bike again.

I cried when I did. Because to me, that freedom symbolised everything I had finally regained and everything I'd lost.

So make no mistake, while young girls may be on that 'family' run today, the fact their mothers are not participating tells us exactly what fate awaits them.

Once they reach puberty, they'll be expected to hang up their running shoes for good.

How can we, as a democratic society in the West, tolerate this?

If Sadiq Khan had any backbone, he'd issue a statement making it clear: people are free to follow whatever values they choose, but when those values conflict with the core principles of the society we all live in, they must be condemned without fear or favour.
