Tourist is left dangling 330ft in the air after glass-bottomed bridge shatters in 90mph gale-force winds in China https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9559337/Tourist-left-dangling-330ft-air-glass-bridge-shatters.html Basic engineering error! When I studied engineering, the first thing we were shown was this video: We were also given the warning, "When Doctors kill it is in the ones, when engineers do it is in the hundreds or thousands."
  5. Funnily enough I've very recently had a load of problems with home tech failing en masse (mainly appliances, heating and games consoles). To be fair, we have been in the house 10 years and most of the items were 5-10 years old and couple are probably 16 years old. However, they are all failing at once. I suspect this is due to increased use during lockdown, I probably made 5 years worth of coffee in 12 months not being in the office or travelling.

  9. Apparently it is on the list: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/chinese-rocket-debris-set-hit-earth-weekend-no-one-knows-n1266669 Scientists say the risk of it killing anyone after it re-enters the planet's atmosphere is small but not impossible: There is a tiny chance the debris could hit New York, Los Angeles, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro, the Nigerian capital of Abuja or Beijing. It will more likely land in an ocean or the wilderness.
  10. He might need to have the budget upgraded. $6m might get you a Florida villa on the beach but given the cost of arms/tech development he might need to be the $666m Dollar Man.
