I'm vegetarian (almost vegan) myself and I believe meat diet is what subjects men to animals instincts responsible for most the violence and criminality you see on Earth, like a curse hold upon them by education , emulation and tradition (AND business!)... territoriality, domination, submission, competition, even the greed and envy commonly gathered into the 'ambition' term, I think they're all 'basic instincts' men should have got themselves healed from since a while because they're the deep causes of war and crime...
now what to eat apart from meat... I've been on pasta for 35 years and now considering switching to rice just to get myself used with it before the Chinese invasion...

you're talking about England first, and people haven't the same rights as yours in other countries... then correct me if I'm wrong but shops and stores are private places open to the public/customer, so the the staff is empowered by the owner to enforce I guess whatever rule they'd want to be, otherwise they'd call the security who'd then call the police while you're being wrestling guards in the store...
there are some countries and places where you can't escape it sadly... I myself tried to but better put the thing on, bear a long face and not talk to anybody than sparkling an uprising or getting lynched... because that's what will end up happening...
walking the street in protest is fine on another hand, but not stupidly put yourself in danger when you're alone against a whole crowd...

While the 'coronavirus' term refers to nothing that ever existed in the reality, 'COVID-19' is the name of a wide scale operation wanted, planned and prepared by the Chinese in collaboration with Western legal or physical persons like the WHO or Bill Gates to further their own agenda in the process, or even Microsoft that only lately factory embedded the Chinese language and police to their Windows operating systems.
All these collaborating people and companies along with Westerner states have been discretely or secretly contracting and dealing with the China controlled AIIB alternative world bank for its 'takeover' of the Western economy and industry. As part of the planning process the whole COVID-19 and related lockdowns, shutdowns and accessory 'sanitary rules' were implemented and imposed on the Westerner populations by either China or the AIIB as an 'economical cleansing' process intended to deliver to the Asian world bank a 'healthy' Western economical situation where the only core and frame of economy and industry would remain.
This hypothesis in no way reductive to say the least, but as you know it nothing can be explained without having to consider underlying motivations, in the occurrence the double-sided and multi-faced attitude of involved Westerner protagonists deliberately and sneakily betraying their mother civilization like parasites jumping onto a stronger and healthier new 'host' for their own survival.
I'm in no way meaning to support or advocate war on China, just suggesting that if the involved protagonists weren't so concerned about losing votes and compromising their 'reputation' (
