Well then, you cant cant get out of the food web, unless you grow your own ingredient, the best you can do it buy fresh or from suppliers who use fresh ingredients to make their salad. I wouldn't out any trust in stuff that's sold as organic, other than it's the same stuff with an expensive label

It depends what you are calling junk food, I've had people using that as term about parts of my diet, when a pizza or a Donner kebab with salad is perfectly wholesome food and represents a balanced diet. What's wrong with it ? I say and then lecture them on nutrition, as their eyes glaze over. I used it reference stuff that has calories with no nutritional benefit and even then downing a bottle of lucozade or a chocolate eclair is good if your glucose level is about to go through the floor. If your taking about processed foods in general, you have a point, but its not clear the supply chain could deliver enough fresh food at an acceptable price. It's a good choice for individuals to make, if everyone did it we may run into problems

He doesnt need to use force, just say I'm in charge, what you going to do about it ? The answer to which is moan and complain. But I think it will be achieved by economic pressure resulting in a " power sharing "agreement which allows Denmark and the EU an out with pride. Its effectively power sharing now, just Denmark owns the mineral rights and America pays for the defence An argument its about strategic defence rather than mineral rights us a non starter, when they can install any amount of military personnel on there as things stand

I suspect there are some left, there is no point having hostages if you dont a) keep them in captivity and b) alive, in not sure there will be any alive at the end of the conflict or if they are alive that they will be returned other than dead

From the little I've been following him over recent times, he seems to do nothing except talk about dangerous food additives and processes We bizarrely seems to find ourselves in a world were saying good food and exercise will result in better health is seen as dangerous fringe science clearly it's dangerous to the bank balance of the food production companies and the doctors

Tom Scott, the presenter is really good, he has a whole series of short informative science vids in the same vein, though I belive he has packed it in now

The whole concept of nation states is really a 20th century invention, a little bit of 18th but mostly 20th, preceding that the world was ran for 500 years by the british, the french, the ottomans and the Spanish with guest appearances from the Portuguese, the germans the Japanese and the russians. But mostly the first four It wasnt one world government, but four and they spent well over a 100 years, fighting a war over who would be the main world government, which was mostly won by the british. The world being divided in to a few power blocks , which each operated under central control is the rule rather than the exception . A plan to return to that model is really an acceptance that the world worked better in the age of empires than it currently does with 200 different govenments each doing there own thing. That canada and the USA are different countries is just a quirk of the conflict between Spain, france and britain in the 1700s and not a practical arrangement based on it being a better idea to have it that way. In practical rather than political terms they are all ready one country, so dependent is Canada on the USA economic ally, even politically they can pretend to be independent, but can only enact policies that align with american policy This is an historic perspective, not me saying I think it's a good idea

Dinosaur hoax
lobster replied to Occulus5's topic in Ancient and Forbidden Knowledge / False History
It's all a but inexact, all we know is a that dinos disappeared from the fossil record about 65 million years ago, it's not clear if they died out in a month or 200,000 years, the asteroid strike may have been the main reason or it could be largely incidental and they were on their way out anyway, it also coincided with a lot of volcanic activerty There was a similar sized strike, in fact three in quick succession, about 30 million years ago that had next to no effect on mass extinction that we can detect, so it may all be bollux Its wasn't just the dinos, nearly every species was reduced by about 85%, some crocs survived, some dinos didnt, its not like everything else was swanning about having a great time, whilst just dino died. I dont think they are all plaster, those they reconstruct and hang from the ceiling are, that because they are made of stone and not only would it be to heavy for the ceiling it would probably be to heavy to sustain it's own weigh That was the design of lots of related species over millions of years, the trex was just the biggest, they clearly perfected getting up. Snakes can " stand up "and they have no legs or arms -
Those silly little kettles are great for boil washing your rancid socks. Bet you never use one again ?

A lot of the problem is that wild fires are a natural and of benefit to the eco system feature, the issue comes when you build a whole suburb of wooden houses in the forest, with out fire breaks. Its rather like building on flood plane and being surprised when it gets flooded -

It sounds reasonable, drought and high winds seem to equal a fire that spreads quickly, it doesnt need high temps, Though the sugestion glabal warming is to blame is a bit tenuous, -
It's much the same as the uk when it comes to population density, as bit higher, but only a bit The Philippines has a much higher population density, and that's group in with india, which its self has a higher population density than either of the above

Arnt fires in California more or less an annual thing ? That would seem to rule out energy weapons unless they have been doing it for decades, arson is always a possibly, but the stuff needs to be dry enough to burn to get the fire going. Is it a particularly dry January in California? If so that may be a contributing factor to when rather than why -

Its him saying tariffs against Canada and " invade :greenland at least he hasn't ruled out a military take over. It's not some anti trump conspiracy its from, his own mouth, JT has gone because trump doesn't like him, if there one thing the Americans are good at it organising regime change -

It's TRUE they had plans to invade Canada in the 1930s, back then of course canada was part of the british empire, now they wouldnt need to invade they can just crush them economically with tariffs, leaving them no choice but to acquiesce. Such tariff are already part of trump's rhetoric so it may well be fiction that comes true, as it often does I think it not unlikely they will try and collapse the british government, musk as his propaganda arm has already started to undermine it, it wouldnt be the first British PM to be forced out of office as the Americans dont like them -
It just intrigued me, you must admit it's a strange way to arrive at " kingdoms" here you get a whole continent, and you just get japan.
-
I thought it was a reasonable question, region 5 has about a 5th of the earths land mass, region 3 is tiny, region 4 is split over two continent a thousands miles apart, region 5 includes a load of countries that are now part of region 2. Its doesnt seem a very sensible way of spitting the world up into regions. If you dont know that's fine, I just thought you may
-
Why has region 3 only got Japan in it ?

The political mood in Russia is stop the war before they kill any more young men, that's the mood in Ukraine as well, it always is once you cut through the political rhetoric Putin is an astute judge of character, if I can tell trump is deranged on tv I'm sure he can having met him. Putin will find away to sell it as a victory Denmark will not sell it willingly, its loaded with rare metals and diamonds, just grabbing it and posting a cheque might work. The population want to be independent, but cant be as it isn't a viable country , unlessvthey dig up the rare metals, I'm not aware they have expressed a wish to be America, who would when they live in a almost crime free society It's not clear Denmark has any more rights to it than anyone else, the USA had more than half of it at one point, but signed it away on one treaty or another, a bit like the canal

That's about the same as my second wife cost me, she was rather a sex toy as she did fuck all else of use

Dinosaur hoax
lobster replied to Occulus5's topic in Ancient and Forbidden Knowledge / False History
As far as I can tell dinosaurs hoax supports only have a problem with dinosaurs and not any of the millions of other species that existed before, along side and after the dino, just the dinos, I suspect they havent considered it enough to realise that not all ancient fossils are dinosaurs A lot depends why they they dont belive, if your running into 6000 years creationism, then there is no reasoning with them, Some people dont like the monkey to human thing, which of course didnt actually happen, it's just as true to say monkeys evolved from us Some people just dont understand evolution and so just decided it's easier to say it didnt happen than to do some reading and thinking Take your pick, someone will be a long shortly with one of these points of view, blaming the Smithsonian -
I think you mean nipples, she had three nipples, one rather disconcertingly on her neck she also had 10 and 1/8 th fingers, but no one ever seems to mention that, just the other

Thats a bit debatable, that is the original name of the very small town established by the Spanish, it still is the name of that same area. As that is the name of an area of LA , its difficult to say it's also the name of all LA
